  • Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Dropped to AHL

Kolosov was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.

Due to the absence of Samuel Ersson (lower body), Kolosov was Dan Vladar's backup in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings. If Ersson remains unavailable for Tuesday's home matchup against Washington, Kolosov could be an option to return to the NHL level.

  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Hangs on for win Saturday

Skinner made 15 saves in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

The Penguins seemed to have the game well in hand, holding a 3-0 lead late in the second period and going ahead 5-1 before two minutes had elapsed in the third, but a wild finish saw the Rangers come storming back. Skinner gave up two goals in the final 67 seconds but still came away with his fifth straight win. Over eight outings in January, he went 7-1-0 with a sharp 2.13 GAA and .910 save percentage.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Flops against Penguins

Quick turned aside 28 of 33 shots in Saturday's 6-5 loss to Pittsburgh, with the Penguins' final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Seven of the 11 goals on the afternoon were scored during a wild third period, but Quick wasn't to blame for the final result, as the Rangers got out-played in all three frames. The 40-year-old netminder managed only one win in January despite holding down the No. 1 job between the pipes, going 1-7-1 in nine outings with a brutal 4.63 GAA and .827 save percentage, but he should be able to return to a more sheltered role once Igor Shesterkin (lower body) is back.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Falls to LA in OT

Vladar stopped 18 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings.

Neither goalie faced much rubber in the afternoon contest, but Vladar got beaten twice by Adrian Kempe in the first period before Quinton Byfield ripped a shot past him from the faceoff dot in OT. Vladar is 0-1-1 in three outings since returning from a lower-body injury, allowing seven goals on 57 shots (.877 save percentage), but he'll see the bulk of the playing time in the Philly crease as long as Samuel Ersson (lower body) is on the shelf.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Hangs on for OT win

Kuemper made 19 saves in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers.

The Kings grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first period, but the home side chipped away and scored goals early in the second and third periods to force OT before Quinton Byfield found the winner. Kuemper wrapped up January with just one regulation loss in his last six outings, going 2-1-2 with a 2.89 GAA and .889 save percentage.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Shaky in relief outing

Ingram allowed two goals on nine shots in relief of Tristan Jarry in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Wild.

Ingram has started to falter a bit with eight goals allowed on 42 shots over his last three appearances. The 28-year-old goalie didn't take a result in this contest, remaining at 6-3-1 with a 2.55 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 12 outings. Jarry is struggling heavily of late and Calvin Pickard hasn't played since Jan. 8. The Oilers host the Maple Leafs on Tuesday and visit the Flames on Wednesday, but Edmonton hasn't revealed its plans for the crease in the last two games before the Olympic break. It wouldn't be surprising to see Ingram get the start, as he's been the best of Edmonton's three netminders recently, though that's a low bar to hurdle.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Pulled after allowing five goals

Jarry stopped 15 of 20 shots before he was replaced by Connor Ingram in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Wild.

Jarry was the goalie of record Saturday in another uninspiring outing. He has allowed at least four goals in four of seven appearances since returning from a lower-body injury, posting an .868 save percentage in that span. Jarry's now 15-6-2 with a 3.02 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 24 outings this season, but his numbers with the Oilers are a much less impressive 3.59 GAA and .873 save percentage in 10 contests. That's not the stability the Oilers were looking for, though a rest during the Olympic break could do wonders as a reset for the 30-year-old. With Jarry and Connor Ingram struggling, it wouldn't be surprising to see Calvin Pickard get a look for the first time since Jan. 8 in either Tuesday's game versus the Maple Leafs or Wednesday's game in Calgary, though no official plans have been set.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Steps up in win

Wallstedt stopped 39 of 42 shots in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Oilers.

Wallstedt picked up his second win in a row. The Wild gave him plenty of support, though the Oilers didn't back down with 42 shots, the most Wallstedt has faced in any game since Nov. 19 versus the Hurricanes. The netminder is 3-1-0 this season when facing 40-plus shots. He's 14-5-4 overall with a 2.72 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 23 appearances. The Wild have two games left before the Olympic break -- Monday at home versus the Canadiens and Wednesday on the road in Nashville. It wouldn't be surprising to see Filip Gustavsson and Wallstedt split those starts.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Takes loss versus Kraken

Schmid stopped 20 of 23 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kraken.

The Golden Knights dug out of an early 2-0 deficit, but Kaapo Kakko's goal early in the third period was the difference. Schmid has lost his last three outings, allowing 10 goals on 78 shots while going 0-2-1 in that span. For the season, he's at a 15-6-6 record with a 2.55 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 28 appearances. Adin Hill will get the nod for Sunday's game in Anaheim, and the Golden Knights' continued use of a goalie rotation suggests Schmid would be in line to start Wednesday at home in a favorable matchup versus the Canucks before heading to the Olympics as a member of Team Switzerland.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Earns third straight win

Daccord stopped 27 of 29 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.

Daccord came away with his third straight win in the Kraken's last four games. He has done well to secure more playing time for himself, but Philipp Grubauer has also put together a good January. Daccord improved to 15-12-5 with a 2.83 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 32 starts this season. Both goalies should get one more start before the Olympic break, as the Kraken face the Ducks on Tuesday and the Kings on Wednesday, with both games being on the road.
