  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Leaves ice first Thursday

Daccord was the first goalie to leave the ice Thursday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports, indicating he'll be between the pipes at home versus Toronto.

Daccord has played in just three of Seattle's last nine contests, and he posted a 1-2-0 record and 3.42 GAA during that time. While the Boston native will likely fall short of the 50-game mark for the first time in the last three years, he should still see enough starts to challenge for the 20-win threshold.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Patrolling crease versus Oilers

Askarov will be in goal on the road versus Edmonton on Thursday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Askarov will be making consecutive appearances in the crease for the first time since early January. In his last five outings, the 23-year-old backstop has posted a 2-3-0 record and 3.43 GAA. The move to break from an alternating rotation is a bit surprising, considering Alex Nedeljkovic is riding a five-game winning streak.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Tending twine Thursday

Tarasov will be between the road pipes in St. Louis on Thursday, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports.

Tarasov is seeing more game action with fellow netminder Sergei Bobrovsky slumping of late. Tarasov is on a four-game winning streak, allowing five goals on 92 shots (.946 save percentage). Overall, Tarasov is 8-6-2 with a 2.53 GAA and a .909 save percentage over 17 appearances this season. The Blues are the lowest scoring team in the league in 2025-26, producing 2.43 goals per game.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Defending cage against Sabres

Kuemper will patrol the crease on the road versus Buffalo on Thursday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.

Kuemper hasn't played since Saturday after Monday's clash with the Blue Jackets was postponed. As such, the veteran backstop comes into this matchup against the Sabres with plenty of rest. That should benefit Kuemper, considering his recent struggles in which he went 1-2-3 with a 3.56 GAA over his last seven outings.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Tending twine Thursday

Soderblom will defend the road cage against the Penguins on Thursday, Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News reports.

Soderblom has featured in just two of the Blackhawks' last 11 contests, losing both games while posting a 2.99 GAA and .889 save percentage. With the 26-year-old Swede starting the first game of Chicago's back-to-back, fantasy managers can expect to see Spencer Knight get the nod at home versus Columbus on Friday.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Between pipes Thursday

Ingram will tend the twine at home versus the Sharks on Thursday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Ingram will be back in the crease after getting pulled from his previous appearance against the Capitals on Saturday, in which he gave up three goals on 12 shots. With a back-to-back coming against the Leafs and Flames on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, Ingram should get the nod in two of the Oilers' four games leading up to the Olympic break.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Dealing with upper-body injury

Head coach Spencer Carbery said Thursday that Thompson is considered day-to-day due to an upper-body injury, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.

Thompson was hit in the mask by a shot during Tuesday's game against Seattle, and he'll at least be unavailable for one matchup. It seems likely that Charlie Lindgren will handle goaltending duties on the road against Detroit on Thursday, while Clay Stevenson was recalled from AHL Hershey to provide additional depth.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Starting Thursday

Vejmelka will defend the road crease in Carolina on Thursday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Vejmelka leads the NHL with 25 victories. He has a 2.56 GAA and a .901 save percentage in 40 appearances this season. The Hurricanes are tied for fourth in NHL scoring, generating 3.38 goals per contest.

  • Devin Cooley G | CGY

Flames' Devin Cooley: Set to start Thursday

Cooley wasn't on the ice for Thursday's optional morning skate, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports, indicating that he's slated to start on the road against Minnesota.

Cooley has alternated starts with Dustin Wolf for most of January, and that trend should continue during Thursday's matchup. Cooley has been solid over the past several weeks, going 2-1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and .950 save percentage across his last four outings.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Tending twine Thursday

Hofer will defend the home crease against the Panthers on Thursday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Hofer and Jordan Binnington have alternated starts over the past several games, and that trend will continue Thursday. Across his last four outings, Hofer has gone 2-1-1 with a 1.94 GAA and .929 save percentage. He made a road start against Florida on Dec. 20, turning aside 27 of 29 shots (.931 save percentage) in a 6-2 win.
