  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: First off ice Saturday

Lindgren is slated to guard the home goal versus New Jersey on Saturday after being the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Devils play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin reports.

Lindgren has won his last two starts, allowing four goals on only 45 shots in victories over Colorado and Utah. Lindgren is 5-4-0 with a 2.59 GAA and a .900 save percentage in 2024-25. The Devils rank eighth in the league with 3.45 goals per game.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Between pipes Saturday

Montembeault will defend the home crease versus Vegas on Saturday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Montembeault is coming off a 30-save shutout over the Oilers on Monday. He is 6-8-1 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.85 GAA and a .906 save percentage in the 2024-25 campaign. Vegas is first in the Pacific Division with a 12-6-2 record.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Slated to start Saturday

Vasilevskiy was the first goaltender off the ice at the morning skate, indicating he will get the home start versus Dallas on Saturday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.

Vasilevskiy will vie for his fourth straight win and continue his recent dominance. The Russian netminder has allowed only four goals in his last four games while stopping 99 shots. Vasilevskiy is 9-5-1 with a 2.13 GAA and a .919 save percentage this season. The Stars sit third in the Central Division with a 12-6-0 record.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Facing Hurricanes

Merzlikins will be between the home pipes versus Carolina on Saturday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Merzlikins has won three straight games to boost his record to 5-5-1. The 30-year-old has a 3.02 GAA and an .895 save percentage in 11 appearances this season. He will have a tough matchup versus a Carolina team that ranks third in the league with 3.89 goals per game.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

    Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Facing Blues

Sorokin will defend the home crease versus St. Louis on Saturday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Sorokin was stellar against the Red Wings on Thursday, stopping 29 shots, but was saddled with the 2-1 loss. He is 0-2-2 in his last four starts, giving the 29-year-old a 4-5-3 record with a 2.64 GAA and a .914 save percentage. St. Louis sits 29th in the league with 2.43 goals per game.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Not playing Saturday

Ersson (lower body) will not play in Saturday's home game versus Chicago, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Ersson practiced Saturday and is getting close to a return. The 25-year-old netminder was injured at practice 10 days ago. He has a 5-2-2 record with a 2.70 GAA and a .902 save percentage this season. Ersson remains on injured reserve and is day-to-day ahead of Monday's home matchup versus Vegas.

  • John Gibson G | ANA

Ducks' John Gibson: Takes first loss in overtime

Gibson yielded three goals on 32 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Sabres.

Gibson started consecutive games for the first time this season, but it ended up resulting in his first defeat. The 31-year-old couldn't protect a 2-0 lead, letting the Sabres pull even late in the second period before giving up a goal to Jiri Kulich on a rebound in overtime. Gibson is now 3-0-1 with a 2.70 GAA and a .906 save percentage over four appearances. Lukas Dostal has played too well to be completely relegated to the backup role -- expect the Ducks to operate a timeshare in the crease when both Gibson and Dostal are healthy. The team's next game is Monday versus the Kraken.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Secures overtime win

Luukkonen stopped 22 of 24 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Ducks.

Luukkonen has won his last five decisions over six games, the exception being when he was pulled from a 7-5 loss to the Canadiens on Nov. 11. The 25-year-old struggled a bit early Friday, allowing a goal in each of the first two periods before the Sabres turned things around. He's now 8-4-1 with a 2.55 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 14 appearances. James Reimer is likely to get the nod in goal versus one of his former teams, the Sharks, for Saturday's game.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Stuck with another loss

Jarry gave up three goals on 29 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Jets. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Jarry couldn't stop a Nino Niederreiter shot early in the first period, and he allowed a goal in each frame to take his third straight loss since returning from a conditioning stint. His last two efforts have at least been in the range of respectable, but he's yet to allow fewer than three goals in a game, and that's often a mark the Penguins can't cover -- the team has scored at least three goals in just four of 10 contests in November. Jarry is now 1-3-1 with a 4.41 GAA and an .869 save percentage through six starts. Alex Nedeljkovic will likely get the nod Saturday versus Utah.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Solid in Friday's win

Hellebuyck stopped 17 of 18 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Penguins.

Hellebuyck wasn't particularly busy in this contest -- the 18 shots against were a season low. The 31-year-old's shutout bid was spoiled by Michael Bunting on a Penguins power play in the third period. Hellebuyck has won two straight starts and eight of his last nine outings. He's 14-2-0 with a 2.13 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 16 starts overall. The Jets play again Saturday in Nashville, and while it'll likely be an Eric Comrie start, there's at least a small chance Hellebuyck could go again after a light workload. This is the Jets' first back-to-back set of the season.
