Sabres' Alex Lyon: Wins 11th game in last 12 starts

Lyon made 38 saves in a 5-3 win over Florida on Monday.

It his 11th win in his past 12 starts. Lyon continues to explore uncharted territory this season. The 33-year-old netminder has never achieved the kind of success he has seen this year. Lyon is 14-7-3 with a dazzling 2.66 GAA, .914 save percentage and two shutouts in 24 starts (26 appearances). Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) hit the IR on Monday, and the extent of his injury is unknown. UPL is supposed to pull on a Finnish jersey at the Olympics, but that remains to be seen; so does his recovery arc. Lyon King's success will keep him in the blue paint a lot post-Olympics anyway -- the Sabres will play whomever will take them to the Stanley Cup promised land.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Set to start Tuesday

Stolarz is slated to start Tuesday's road game against Edmonton, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports.

Stolarz has made two starts since returning from an upper-body injury in late January, and he's gone 0-2-0 with nine goals allowed on 51 shots across those outings. Joseph Woll will tend the twine during Monday's road game in Calgary, so Stolarz will defend the crease in the Maple Leafs' final matchup before the Olympic break. The Oilers rank third in the NHL with 3.45 goals per game this season.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Moved to injured reserve

Luukkonen (lower body) was shifted to injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.

In a corresponding move, defenseman Jacob Bryson (upper body) was removed from injured reserve ahead of Monday's game versus the Panthers. Luukkonen appears unlikely to play again before the break, but it's unclear if he will be ready to suit up for Finland in the Olympics.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Patrolling crease Monday

Saros will be in goal at home against the Blues on Monday, per Lou Korac of The Hockey News.

Saros will be making his 43rd start of the season and is tied with Utah's Karel Vejmelka for the NHL lead. Unfortunately for Saros, that hasn't necessarily translated into wins, as he is 21-17-4 with an .895 save percentage. Considering the 30-year-old backstop is in the first season of an eight-year deal he signed with the club back in July of 2024, it's unlikely he will lose the No. 1 job even with his struggles.

    Sabres' Alex Lyon: Starting Monday

Lyon will be between the pipes for Monday's road game against Florida, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.

Lyon is coming off a 27-save effort in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Montreal, with the fourth goal being an empty-netter. He has a 13-7-3 record in 2025-26 with a 2.64 GAA, a .913 save percentage and two shutouts across 25 appearances. Florida sits 20th in the league with 3.00 goals per game this season.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Facing Avalanche

Gibson will defend the road net against Colorado on Monday, Bailey Curtis of DNVR Sports reports.

Gibson allowed four goals on 17 shots before getting the hook from Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Avalanche. The 32-year-old netminder has a 21-11-2 record with a 2.68 GAA, a .902 save percentage and three shutouts in 35 appearances this season. However, he has gone 0-2-1 in his last three outings while permitting nine goals on 61 shots. Colorado ranks first in the league with 3.91 goals per game this campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Starting against San Jose

Knight will start Monday's home game against the Sharks, Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News reports.

Knight has been in a bit of a skid over the past week, going 0-2-1 with 10 goals allowed on 72 shots over his last three starts. However, he'll attempt to right the ship against the Sharks, who are scoring 3.09 goals per game this year, which is tied for 17th in the league.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: First off Monday

Lankinen was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports, indicating he will guard the road crease against Utah on Monday.

Lankinen struggled mightily in January, going 1-7-1 while permitting 33 goals on 261 shots in 11 outings. He has a 7-17-4 record this campaign with a 3.54 GAA and an .881 save percentage through 30 appearances. Utah sits 16th in the league with 3.15 goals per game this season.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Slated to start Monday

Woll is expected to patrol the crease on the road against the Flames on Monday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.

Woll finally broke out of a five-game losing streak with his win over Vancouver on Saturday, in which he stopped 28 of 30 shots. With Woll taking the first game of the Maple Leafs' back-to-back, fantasy managers should expect Anthony Stolarz to get the road start versus the Oilers on Tuesday.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Between pipes Monday

Hofer will defend the road net against Nashville on Monday.

Hofer is coming off a 16-save effort in Thursday's 5-4 win over Florida. He has a 12-10-3 record this campaign with a 2.82 GAA, an .899 save percentage and four shutouts through 29 appearances. Nashville ranks 25th in the league with 2.83 goals per game in 2025-26, but Hofer has gone 1-1-0 with seven goals allowed on 64 shots in three outings against the Predators this season.
