  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Among top twinetenders in NHL

Vasilevskiy made 17 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Vasilevskiy wasn't really busy. The first goal was a tap-in from the back door in the first period that was the result of blown coverage by Michael Eyssimont; Vasy didn't have a chance. Rickard Rakell scored on a one-timer from his knee on a second-period power play to put the Pens up 2-0. Vasilevskiy has won three straight games with just three goals allowed and one shutout for good measure. His 2.13 GAA puts him second on the NHL goalie list, and his .919 save percentage is good for seventh overall. Vasilevskiy is back to elite form after last year's back surgery. Use him well.

Ducks' John Gibson: Starting in Chicago

Gibson will guard the road goal versus the Blackhawks on Tuesday, Greg Boysen of CHGO Sports reports.

Gibson will get the second half of a back-to-back after Lukas Dostal picked up a 4-2 win over the Stars on Monday. Through two starts this season, Gibson has been solid, winning both outings while allowing six goals on 65 shots. The Blackhawks are a soft matchup, but the Ducks don't tend to score a lot either, so they could struggle to offer sufficient support.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Guarding goal in Vancouver

Shesterkin will be in net for Tuesday's road matchup against the Canucks, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

After allowing 10 combined goals in back-to-back losses, Shesterkin rebounded by making 25 saves on 27 shots in a 3-2 win over San Jose on Thursday. The Russian netminder is up to a 7-4-1 record, .914 save percentage and 2.78 GAA through 12 outings. The Canucks have generated 54 goals through 17 games.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Drawing start at home

Silovs will be between the pipes for Tuesday's home tilt versus the Rangers, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Silovs had his best outing of the season Saturday against Chicago -- he turned aside 28 of 29 shots en route to a 4-1 victory. The 23-year-old will have a tough matchup in the Rangers, a club that ranks sixth in the NHL with 3.56 goals per game through 16 contests. Through five appearances, Silovs owns a 1-2-1 record, .850 save percentage and 3.86 GAA.

  • Islanders' Semyon Varlamov: Confirmed starter on the road

Varlamov will guard the road crease versus the Flames on Tuesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday relays.

Varlamov will attempt to pick up his third straight win against a Calgary club that's scoring 2.67 goals per game through 18 outings. The 36-year-old made 24 saves on 26 shots in a 5-2 win over Vancouver in his last start Nov. 14. The Russian netminder has posted a 3-3-1 record, .892 save percentage and 2.86 GAA through seven appearances.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In blue paint Tuesday

Bobrovsky will tend twine on the road against Winnipeg on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky will make his 14th start of the campaign -- he's 9-3-1 with a 2.89 GAA and an .897 save percentage. The 36-year-old will attempt to win two games in a row against the Jets, as he posted a 27-save shutout against Winnipeg on Saturday. The Jets rank second in the NHL with 4.11 goals per game through 18 contests.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Cruises to win Monday

Lindgren stopped 24 of 26 shots in Monday's 6-2 win over Utah.

Lindgren has won his last two starts, stopping a combined 41 of 45 shots in that span. Lindgren has been alternating with Logan Thompson between the Capitals' pipes, and there's no indication of that changing any time soon. In four November appearances, Lindgren has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.54 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Gives up two goals in relief

Vejmelka stopped nine of 11 shots in relief during Monday's 6-2 loss to the Capitals.

Vejmelka replaced Connor Ingram midway through the second period, and he was beaten twice over a 2:26 period in the final frame. Vejmelka had a career-best performance in the 4-1 win over the Hurricanes on Nov. 13, stopping 49 of 50 shots, but he's allowed five goals on 39 shots in his two outings since then.

  • Hockey Club's Connor Ingram: Gets hook Monday

Ingram stopped nine of 13 shots before being pulled in the second period during Monday's 6-2 loss to the Capitals.

Ingram was returning to the Utah crease after two games and had a woeful performance. He was lifted in the second period in place of Karel Vejmelka, who ended up allowing two more goals in the final frame. Ingram has posted a save percentage below .890 in each of his last four outings, so he's clearly trending in the wrong direction. Over that span, Ingram has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.80 GAA and an .843 save percentage after stopping just 70 of 83 shots.

  • Sharks' Mackenzie Blackwood: Earns OT win Monday

Blackwood stopped 16 of 20 shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Red Wings.

This was far from Blackwood's best performance, but it was enough to give him his first win since Nov. 10, when he recorded a 44-save shutout against the Devils. On the season, Blackwood has gone 4-5-3 across 12 appearances, posting a 3.07 GAA and a .908 save percentage.
