  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Starting in Carolina

Dobes will defend the road net against the Hurricanes on Sunday, per Canadiens reporter Priyanta Emrith.

Dobes will get the second half of Montreal's back-to-back after Jacob Fowler played in Saturday's 4-1 win over Nashville. The 24-year-old Dobes has won his last two outings, including a 41-save performance in a 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. He has a 24-8-4 record this campaign with a 2.83 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 36 appearances. Carolina sits fourth in the league with 3.50 goals per game this season.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: In goal Sunday

Bobrovsky will defend the road net against the Rangers on Sunday, per Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site.

Bobrovsky will get the second half of Florida's back-to-back after Daniil Tarasov played in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders. The 37-year-old Bobrovsky has won his last two outings while allowing only four goals on 48 shots. He has a 26-20-1 record this campaign with four shutouts, a 3.02 GAA and an .878 save percentage across 48 appearances. The Rangers rank 26th in the league with 2.81 goals per game this season.

  • Red Wings' Michal Postava: Assigned to AHL

Postava was sent back to AHL Grand Rapids on Sunday.

Postava served as John Gibson's backup in Friday's 5-2 win over Buffalo. However, the Red Wings got Cam Talbot (undisclosed) back in the lineup for Saturday's 5-3 loss to Philadelphia, so Postava was a healthy scratch.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Not busy in Saturday's win

Bussi turned aside 17 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Devils.

New Jersey took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, but Carolina took control the rest of the way and Bussi ended up cruising to his 27th win of the season. The rookie netminder has been inconsistent since the Olympic break, going 4-3-0 in seven starts with a 3.60 GAA and ,849 save percentage as he battles with Frederik Andersen for the top spot between the pipes heading into the playoffs.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Blown away by Hurricanes

Markstrom stopped 29 of 33 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Carolina, with the Hurricanes' final tally getting scored into an empty net.

The Devils got out-shot 34-19 in the game, but they managed to emerge from the first period with a 1-0 lead before the home side took control. Markstrom saw his three-start win streak snapped, but it was just the second time in 11 outings since the Olympic break that he's given up more than three goals, a stretch in which he's gone 7-4-0 with a 2.81 GAA and .889 save percentage.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Fades late in loss

Merzlikins made 33 saves in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks.

Columbus took a 2-1 lead into the third period, but Merzlikins gave up a power-play tally to Macklin Celebrini less than a minute into the final frame before Igor Chernyshov slapped home a one-timer with 85 seconds left for the winner. Merzlikins has had an up-and-down March, going 3-1-2 over seven outings with a 2.90 GAA and .882 save percentage as he falls firmly behind Jet Greaves on the Blue Jackets' depth chart.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Back in win column Saturday

Nedeljkovic turned aside 22 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

The Sharks were down 2-1 heading into the third period, but Nedeljkovic shut the door on the home side and gave his offense a chance to mount a comeback. In the process, the veteran netminder snapped a winless stretch in which he had gone 0-4-1 in five outings with a brutal 4.40 GAA and .818 save percentage. With Yaroslav Askarov (upper body) sidelined again, however, Nedeljkovic will be San Jose's top option between the pipes in the short term as the team pushes for a playoff spot.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Another strong effort Saturday

Sorokin stopped 19 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.

Matthew Tkachuk got two pucks by him in the first period, but Sorokin shut the door on Florida the rest of the way as New York's offense came to life. The veteran netminder is benefitting from some stingy defensive work in front of him -- Sorokin has faced 30-plus shots only once in his last nine outings, going 5-4-0 with a 2.36 GAA and .910 save percentage over that span.

  • Penguins' Stuart Skinner: Yields four goals in loss

Skinner turned away 20 of 24 shots on net in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Stars.

Skinner kept the Stars off the scoresheet in the first period before the visitors responded with a four-goal second period, which ultimately proved to be the difference Saturday. With the loss, he now has a 21-15-9 record, a 2.91 GAA and an .888 save percentage across 45 appearances this season. After a strong stretch of play leading into the Olympic break, the 27-year-old netminder has struggled since with a 2-3-4 record, a 3.35 GAA and an .883 save percentage across his last nine appearances. His next chance to bounce back is Monday's road clash against the Islanders.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Sunk by Isles

Tarasov made 35 saves in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Islanders.

Florida grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first period on a pair of Matthew Tkachuk tallies, but the second frame was dominated by New York as Tarasov got beaten five times on a massive 35 shots. The 27-year-old netminder has lost four straight starts and eight of his last nine dating back to Jan. 29, going 1-8-0 over the latter stretch with a 4.19 GAA and .880 save percentage.
