    Annunen is coming off a 16-save performance in a 2-1 win over the Rangers on Dec. 21. He has posted a 2-5-1 record this season with a 3.43 GAA and an .866 save percentage through 11 appearances. Vegas sits 13th in the league with 3.14 goals per game this campaign.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Set to face Edmonton

    Swayman will get a rematch against the Oilers after stopping 22 of 25 shots en route to a 3-1 loss Dec. 18. He has a 14-10-2 record, 2.87 GAA and .901 save percentage in 27 outings this season. Edmonton ranks third in goals per game with 3.38.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Set to start Wednesday

    Binnington is expected to start on the road Wednesday against Colorado, per Ryan Boulding of NHL.com.

    Binnington will look for a better result after stopping 13 of 17 shots en route to a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Dec. 22. He has a 7-9-6 record, 3.44 GAA and .870 save percentage in 23 appearances in 2025-26. Colorado has been an incredibly difficult adversary this campaign, ranking first in goals per game with 4.00.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Set to face Minnesota

    Askarov is set to start at home against Minnesota on Wednesday, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Alex Lyon (lower body) isn't available Wednesday, but Colten Ellis (concussion) is back and will serve as Luukkonen's understudy. Dallas ranks second in goals per game with 3.49.

    Lyon (lower body) won't be available for Wednesday's road game against Dallas, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

    Lyon is back in Buffalo for evaluation. He probably won't be an option for Saturday's game in Columbus, but a timeline for his return remains unclear. He has posted a 10-6-3 record this season with one shutout, a 2.82 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 21 appearances. With Lyon out, Colten Ellis (concussion) is poised to come off injured reserve to serve as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's backup against the Stars.

    Sabres' Colten Ellis: Ready to return

    Ellis (concussion) will be activated off injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's road game against Dallas, per Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News.

    Ellis hasn't played between the pipes since Dec. 9 due to the injury. He has a 4-3-0 record, 3.25 GAA and .895 save percentage in eight appearances in 2025-26. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is expected to start Wednesday, and Ellis will serve as the understudy. Alex Lyon (lower body) has returned to Buffalo to be evaluated, so Buffalo has two healthy goaltenders, including Ellis.

    Blackwood has a 12-1-1 record, 2.15 GAA and .924 save percentage in 14 outings. He stopped 23 of 25 shots en route to a 5-2 victory over the Kings on Monday. The Blues rank 32nd in goals per game with 2.50.
