  • Lightning's Brandon Halverson: Reassigned to AHL

Halverson was sent to AHL Syracuse on Thursday.

Halverson was the starting goaltender Wednesday in the Lightning's season finale, allowing four goals on 21 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Rangers. Halverson spent most of the 2025-26 campaign at AHL Syracuse, posting a 2.39 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 42 regular-season games.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Cruises to win against Wings

Tarasov made 24 saves in Wednesday's 8-1 rout over Detroit.

Justin Faulk spoiled his shutout bid late in the second period, but Tarasov was still able to end the regular season on a high note. The 27-year-old posted a 13-15-3 record with a 3.05 GAA and .895 save percentage over 33 outings in 2025-26, and with both Tarasov and Sergei Bobrovsky headed into free agency, the Panthers' crease could look very different next season.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Needed in relief in finale

Talbot allowed four goals on 12 shots after replacing John Gibson midway through the second period of Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Panthers.

Neither goalie fared well in the regular-season finale, as the Red Wings seemed mentally checked out at the end of a massively disappointing campaign. Talbot will be a free agent this spring, and the 38-year-old could have trouble landing a secure No. 2 job given his 3.19 GAA and .883 save percentage over 34 outings in 2025-26.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Gets hook in season finale

Gibson gave up four goals on 15 shots before being replaced by Cam Talbot midway through the second period of Wednesday's 8-1 rout at the hands of the Panthers.

The Red Wings apparently hit the links early to close out a massively disappointing season, hanging both their netminders out to dry in the process against a Florida lineup that was missing most of its stars. Gibson had something of a bounce-back campaign in Detroit despite a late fade, with his 29 wins being his highest total since 2017-18 with Anaheim. The 32-year-old goalie has one more year left on his current contract, but he could begin to get phased out next season by the Wings' top prospects Sebastian Cossa and Trey Augustine, who are both knocking on the door.

  • Flyers' Carson Bjarnason: Recalled from AHL

Bjarnason was summoned from AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

Bjarnason was selected in the second round, 51st overall, in 2023, and spent the 2025-26 campaign at Lehigh Valley. He posted a 14-11-4 record with a 3.43 GAA and an .877 save percentage across 32 regular-season games. Bjarnason will likely remain with the Flyers throughout their playoff run as a practice goaltender, as the Phantoms' AHL campaign is over.

  • Colten Ellis G | BUF

Sabres' Colten Ellis: Falls to Stars in shootout

Ellis turned aside 25 shots in regulation and overtime but only one of four shootout attempts in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Dallas.

The Stars had Ellis' number in the shootout, with Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnson both beating the netminder to his glove side. Ellis wraps up the regular season with an 8-4-2 record over 16 outings with a 2.90 GAA and .903 save percentage, and he'll back up Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to begin the playoffs until Alex Lyon (lower body) is healthy.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Suffered groin injury

Stolarz suffered a groin strain when he was hurt April 8 versus Washington, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.

Stolarz missed the final four games of the season with the injury. He said Thursday that he will hit the rehab process hard once he is able to work out and that no surgery is necessary. Stolarz struggled all season, posting a 10-10-3 record with a 3.28 GAA and an .893 save percentage across 26 regular-season appearances in 2025-26, a far cry from 2024-25, when he led the NHL with a .926 save percentage and was third in GAA at 2.14. Stolarz should be in fine form at the start of training camp in September, barring any major setbacks.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Secures shootout win in finale

Oettinger stopped 21 shots in regulation and overtime and two of four shootout attempts in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Sabres.

The 27-year-old netminder heads into the playoffs with plenty of momentum, having reeled off five straight wins to close out the regular season, including two shutouts, with a 1.94 GAA and .916 save percentage. Oettinger's surge carried him to 35 wins on the campaign, the fourth straight season he's reached that mark,

  • Niklas Kokko G | SEA

Kraken's Niklas Kokko: Fades in third period

Kokko allowed four goals on 26 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.

That's now consecutive losses for Kokko after he won his NHL season debut Saturday versus the Flames. He's allowed nine goals on 82 shots while going 1-2-0. The Kraken are back in action Thursday versus the Avalanche, and it's unclear which direction Seattle will go for goaltending in that contest. The healthy options on the roster are Kokko or Victor Ostman.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Secures division title

Hart stopped 22 of 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Kraken.

The Kraken came out looking to play spoiler a bit, but Hart held the fort in the first period. Shane Wright tallied early in the second, but Shea Theodore answered for Vegas before the hosts ran away with it in the third. This was Hart's sixth straight win, and he's given up just 10 goals in that span. He's up to 11-3-3 with a 2.71 GAA and an .891 save percentage over 18 appearances. Hart looks locked in as the Golden Knights' No. 1 goalie heading into the playoffs, where a first-round matchup against the Mammoth awaits.
