Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Allows three goals in loss
Vejmelka turned aside 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.
Despite tending a clean second period to give the Mammoth a chance to come back in Monday's contest, Vejmelka would allow the game-winning goal to Anze Kopitar less than four minutes into the third. After Monday's loss, Vejmelka now has a 12-8-2 record with a 2.66 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 23 outings this season. The 29-year-old netminder had won each of his last two contests prior to Monday's loss, which is an encouraging sign that he could bounce back soon. He's tied for fourth in wins among the league's goaltenders and is set to see a bulk of the opportunities for Utah moving forward. Vejmelka is a solid fantasy option in two-goalie formats. His next chance to guard the crease is Wednesday against the Panthers.

Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Solid showing in 10th win
Kuemper stopped 19 of 21 shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Mammoth.
Kuemper allowed just one even-strength goal Monday and played with the lead for 52 minutes of the contest. With the win, Kuemper now has a 10-6-5 record with a 2.23 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 21 appearances this season. He has allowed less than two goals per game across his last eight appearances and is currently tied for 10th in goalie wins across the NHL. With the Kings firmly in a playoff spot in the Pacific Division, Kuemper should continue to see a bulk of the opportunities moving forward, giving him a chance to reach the 30-win mark for the second consecutive season. His next chance to take the ice is Wednesday in Seattle.

Philipp Grubauer G | SEA
Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Set to face Minnesota
Grubauer will be between the home pipes Monday versus the Wild, according to Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum.
Prior to making a relief appearance Thursday in Edmonton, Grubauer had won his last four outings, turning aside a combined 88 of 96 shots (.917 save percentage) in victories over Pittsburgh, San Jose, Winnipeg and St. Louis. The 34-year-old has received limited work in 2025-26, but he has yet to lose in regulation across seven appearances (4-0-1). The Wild have faltered of late, losing back-to-back games in Calgary and Vancouver, and they've scored just eight goals across their last five contests.

John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Drawing second consecutive start
Gibson will defend the road crease against Vancouver on Monday, per NHL.com.
Gibson has picked up wins in each of his last two starts despite allowing a total of seven goals on 65 shots in those outings. The Canucks are scoring 2.86 goals per game this season, which ranks 22nd in the NHL.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G | BUF
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: First goalie off Monday
Luukkonen was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, per NHL.com, indicating that he'll draw the road start against Calgary.
Luukkonen is coming off a road loss in Winnipeg on Friday, but he'll have a more favorable matchup Monday, as the Flames rank last in the NHL with 2.33 goals per game this season. Across his last five starts, Luukkonen has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .906 save percentage.

Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Leaves ice first Monday
Kuemper was the first goalie off the ice ahead of Monday's road game versus Utah, indicating he'll start in goal, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
Kuemper is coming off a 23-save shutout victory over the Blackhawks on Saturday, a win that ended a three-game losing streak for the netminder. With 20 appearances through the Kings' first 28 games already, the veteran is on pace to top the 55-game mark this year, but he is off his win pace from last year and wouldn't reach 30 victories without an improvement in his results.
-
Filip Gustavsson G | MIN
Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Starting in Seattle
Gustavsson will tend the twine for Monday's road game against Seattle, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Gustavsson has alternated starts with Jesper Wallstedt in recent weeks, and that trend will continue Monday. Gustavsson has been relatively effective recently, going 3-1-2 with a 1.94 GAA and .926 save percentage over his last six outings. The Kraken are scoring just 2.54 goals per game this year, which is the second-worst mark in the league.
-
Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: First goalie off Monday
Lankinen was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus Detroit.
Lankinen is mired in a five-game losing streak, during which he is sporting a 0-4-1 record and 3.48 GAA. Since taking over for the injured Thatcher Demko (lower body), Lankinen has struggled between the pipes, registering a 2-6-3 record in 11 outings. At some point, the team may have to consider giving Nikita Tolopilo a shot if Demko remains unavailable long-term.

Clay Stevenson G | WAS
Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Returned to minors
Stevenson was assigned to AHL Hershey on Monday.
Washington brought up Garin Bjorklund from the minors in a corresponding move. Stevenson suited up as Logan Thompson's backup in Sunday's 2-0 win over Columbus. The 26-year-old Stevenson has a 7-4-0 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .913 save percentage over 11 AHL appearances this season.

Garin Bjorklund G | WAS
Capitals' Garin Bjorklund: Called up from minors
Bjorklund was recalled from AHL Hershey on Monday.
Bjorklund will likely be a stand-in for Clay Stevenson, who was sent down in a corresponding move and will likely suit up for AHL Hershey on Wednesday. Still, it will be some valuable practice time at the NHL level for the 23-year-old Bjorklund. With the Bears this season, Bjorklund is 4-4-1 with an .895 save percentage and one shutout in nine appearances.
