  • Islanders' David Rittich: Gives up three goals

Rittich stopped 26 of 29 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Rittich was beaten once in each period, and since the Islanders didn't produce a lot of offense, he was deservedly tagged with the loss. Rittich has dropped his last two starts while allowing at least three goals each time. However, he still owns a decent 4-2-1 record dating back to the start of November, posting a 2.37 GAA and .900 save percentage in that stretch.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Peppered by pucks in loss

Soderblom stopped 46 of 53 shots in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Ducks.

Soderblom had to eat this one after Spencer Knight was torched for six goals in Saturday's loss to the Kings. Over his last three games, all losses, Soderblom has gotten pummeled for 20 goals on 113 shots. The Blackhawks are reportedly looking for a change of scenery for Laurent Brossoit (hip), who is on a conditioning loan at AHL Rockford after not playing in 2024-25, but Soderblom's struggles could change those plans. Soderblom is 3-5-1 with a 3.93 GAA and an .877 save percentage, numbers nearly identical to his marks from 2023-24 in the depths of the Blackhawks' rebuild. Look for Spencer Knight to start Wednesday versus the Rangers, though Soderblom could be between the pipes once during a back-to-back in St. Louis on Friday and at home versus the Red Wings on Saturday.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: Cruises to win Sunday

Husso stopped 19 of 20 shots in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Blackhawks.

Husso earned consecutive wins for the first time this season, though the Blackhawks hardly put up much of a challenge. The 30-year-old is now 4-2-0 with a 2.82 GAA and an .875 save percentage in six games. Husso will remain the starting goalie as long as Lukas Dostal (upper body) is sidelined, though Dostal's about to enter the 2-3 week range he was given for a return when he initially got hurt. The Ducks head east on a road trip that begins Tuesday in Pittsburgh.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Falls in overtime

Quick stopped 26 of 29 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

Quick returned from missing the previous six games due to a lower-body injury sustained versus the Mammoth on Nov. 22. He was dressed as the backup Saturday versus the Avalanche but didn't play. Quick is now 3-3-1 on the year with a 1.86 GAA and a .937 save percentage through seven starts. He doesn't get a lot of playing time behind Igor Shesterkin, but Quick is worth consideration as a streaming option whenever the Rangers have a back-to-back set. Their next such set is Dec. 15 and 16, with home games versus the high-scoring Ducks and lowly Canucks, making Quick a great target should he face the Canucks.

  • Carter Hart G | LV

Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Gets overtime win Sunday

Hart stopped 21 of 23 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.

The Golden Knights were trending toward a loss until Tomas Hertl scored in the final minute of the third period. Jack Eichel provided similar heroics, getting behind the Rangers' defense for a partial breakaway goal at 4:52 of the extra session to secure Hart's second win in as many outings since he joined Vegas' NHL roster. Hart has allowed five goals on 53 shots over his two starts, with both wins coming past regulation time. Akira Schmid had a shutout win Friday in New Jersey to keep his name in the mix for playing time -- don't be surprised if the Golden Knights alternate goalies for a while until one emerges as the more consistent option. The team's road trip continues Tuesday versus the Islanders.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Dominant in 100th career win

Thompson posted a 39-save shutout in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Blue Jackets.

Thompson bounced back from his shootout loss to the Ducks on Friday, collecting his first shutout of the year in the Capitals' return home. Thompson has allowed one goal or less in four of his last six outings. He's now 13-6-2 with a 1.96 GAA and a .925 save percentage through 21 starts this season. Sunday's effort was his 100th career win.

  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Gets no help in loss

Greaves stopped 36 of 37 shots in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Capitals. Washington's second goal was scored into an empty net.

Greaves was great, but Logan Thompson did a little better in protecting the opposite net. This was Greaves' fourth straight loss (0-1-3), and he's allowed 11 goals on 118 shots in that span. Elvis Merzlikins didn't exactly dominate in starting three straight games, so the door should be open for Greaves to maintain a good share of playing time. On the year, the 24-year-old Greaves is 7-5-5 with a 2.71 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 17 starts this season. The Blue Jackets' next game is a tough one on the road versus the Hurricanes.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Poor showing in Sunday's loss

Dobes stopped 14 of 18 shots in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Blues.

This marked the first time Dobes has started on consecutive days in his career, and the results weren't great. He was pressed into duty since Sam Montembeault (illness) couldn't suit up Sunday. Dobes has won four of his last six outings, but he has given up 19 goals over that span. Overall, he's at a 10-4-2 record with a 3.03 GAA and an .890 save percentage. Montembeault is likely to be ready to play Tuesday versus the Lightning, but Dobes has been the slightly better option between the pipes this year.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Gives up three goals in win

Binnington stopped 23 of 26 shots in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Canadiens.

While not at his best, Binnington did enough in this contest to get back in the win column after losing his last two outings. Two of the three goals against Binnington came in the first period. He's now 7-7-5 with a 3.29 GAA and an .875 save percentage across 20 appearances this season. Binnington has been starting two of every three games lately, so he seems likely to get the nod at home versus the Bruins on Tuesday, especially since he's coming off a win.

  • Blues' Vadim Zherenko: Massive in Sunday's win

Zherenko stopped 45 of 46 shots in AHL Springfield's 3-1 win over Providence on Sunday.

Zherenko put up a huge effort to secure his fourth win of the season. He's at a 3.10 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 14 outings, his best numbers in three years. Still, the 24-year-old is unlikely to see NHL time unless one of Jordan Binnington or Joel Hofer gets hurt.
