Kaapo Kahkonen G | MON
Canadiens' Kaapo Kahkonen: Sent down after Sunday's game
Kahkonen was loaned to AHL Laval on Sunday.
Kahkonen will return to the minors in short order after being brought up due to Sam Montembeault missing Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Blues because of an illness. The 29-year-old Kahkonen has not appeared in an NHL game in 2025-26.

Pyotr Kochetkov G | CAR
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Struggles in return
Kochetkov made 18 saves on 21 attempts on goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Sharks.
Kochetkov picked up his first loss of the season Sunday in a game that was highlighted by two goals in the second period for the visitors. With the loss, the 26-year-old netminder has a 4-1-0 record with a .914 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA through six appearances this season. Sunday's game marked his first since Nov. 19, as he's been dealing with his second lower-body injury of the season. It's unclear whether or not the two injuries are related, but regardless, he's had a track record of missing stretches of time throughout the first four years of his career. Already with a shutout and four wins on the season, Kochetkov is set to succeed while guarding Carolina's net if he can stay in the lineup. He has streaming value in nearly all fantasy formats while healthy. With the Hurricanes rostering three goaltenders, Kochetkov likely won't draw back-to-back starts, giving him a realistic chance to make his next start Thursday against the Capitals.

Alex Nedeljkovic G | SJ
Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Strong performance Sunday
Nedeljkovic stopped 29 of 30 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Nedeljkovic tended one of his strongest games of the season, as he allowed just one goal on a Carolina power play in the first period. With the win, he now has a 4-5-2 record with a 3.01 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 11 appearances this season. After posting back-to-back seasons with double-digit wins for the Penguins, the 29-year-old netminder is on pace to do the same in his first season with the Sharks. If the Sharks continue their winning ways this season, he could turn in a solid campaign while backing up Yaroslav Askarov, though Nedeljkovic's win Sunday was his first in exactly one month.

Arvid Soderblom G | CHI
Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Tending twine in Anaheim
Soderblom will patrol the road blue paint Sunday against the Ducks, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
This will be Soderblom's first start since Nov. 28, as he's struggled during his last two outings, surrendering a total of 13 goals on 60 shots (.783 save percentage) in losses to Nashville and Buffalo. The Swedish netminder is 3-4-1 with a 3.54 GAA and and .879 save percentage across eight appearances in 2025-26. The Ducks are 3-2-0 in their last five games, a stretch in which they've netted 14 goals.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Tending twine against Chicago
Husso will start Sunday's home game against Chicago, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Husso has had mixed results this year, going 3-2-0 with a 3.28 GAA and .859 save percentage over his last five appearances (four starts). That span includes a relief appearance against Chicago on Nov. 30 in which he failed to save the only shot he saw while logging just 9:01 of ice time. Husso hasn't yet picked up back-to-back wins this season, and he'll attempt to change that trend Sunday after picking up the win over Washington on Friday.

Jonathan Quick G | NYR
Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Drawing home start
Quick will the defend the home net Sunday versus the Golden Knights, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Quick was activated from injured reserve Saturday and will make his first start since Nov. 22 in Utah after contending with a lower-body injury. The veteran netminder has lost his last two outings, but he's been a solid No. 2 option this year, as he's posted a 3-3-0 record, 1.69 GAA and .944 save percentage over six appearances. The Golden Knights have won three consecutive games and are coming off a 3-0 win in New Jersey on Friday.

Carter Hart G | LV
Golden Knights' Carter Hart: Starting against Rangers
Hart will serve as the starting goaltender for Sunday's road game against the Rangers, Steve Carp of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Hart picked up a shootout win in his team debut against Chicago on Tuesday, turning aside 27 of 30 shots. He rested Friday in New Jersey but will draw his first road start as a member of the Golden Knights on Sunday. The Rangers have struggled offensively this year, scoring just 2.67 goals per game, which is the fifth-worst mark in the NHL.

Jordan Binnington G | STL
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Sunday starter
Binnington will start Sunday's game against the Canadiens, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Binnington's last start went poorly, as he allowed five goals in a loss to the Bruins on Thursday. With the Blues on the back end of a back-to-back Sunday, he'll get a chance to rebound against the Canadiens. The 32-year-old has a 6-7-5 record with a 3.30 GAA and an .874 save percentage on the season. The Canadiens enter the game scoring 3.22 goals per game, eighth in the NHL.

Samuel Ersson G | PHI
Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Solid performance in loss
Ersson stopped 25 shots on 28 attempts on net in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
All three goals against Ersson came in the first 22 minutes. The 26-year-old netminder drops to a 5-3-2 record with an .871 save percentage and a 2.98 GAA through 10 games this season. The 2025-26 campaign has been an up-and-down experience for Ersson, who has won half his starts this season. Ersson will need to display more more consistency moving forward to challenge Dan Vladar for the top spot on Philadelphia's goalie depth chart. His next opportunity to guard the crease is Tuesday against San Jose.

Sam Montembeault G | MON
Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Will miss Sunday
Montembeault (illness) will not dress in Sunday's game against the Blues.
Montembeault was set to start Sunday after Jakub Dobes started Saturday's front end of Montreal's back-to-back, but an illness has thrown a wrench in those plans. Kaapo Kahkonen has been called up from AHL Laval to back up Dobes in Montembeault's absence. It remains to be seen if Montembeault will be available for Montreal's next game, Tuesday against the Lightning.
