Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Rebounds with shutout
Kuemper stopped all 23 shots he faced in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Blackhawks.
Kuemper snapped his three-game skid with this performance, which was his second shutout of the season. He had allowed eight goals on 91 shots during his 0-2-1 skid that preceded Saturday's victory. On the year, Kuemper is up to 9-6-5 with a 2.24 GAA and a .914 save percentage through 20 starts. The 35-year-old netminder has started four straight games just once this season, but he could end up doing it again if he gets the nod in Utah on Monday.

Spencer Knight G | CHI
Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Yields six goals in loss
Knight stopped 26 of 32 shots in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Kings.
The second half of a two-game set against the Kings didn't go as well as the first for Knight and the Blackhawks. This was one of his worst outings of the season, and it snapped a run of four starts without a regulation loss. Knight is now 9-6-5 with a 2.62 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 20 starts this season. Arvid Soderblom is likely to get the nod for Sunday's contest in Anaheim to wrap up this four-game road trip.

Matt Tomkins G | TB
Oilers' Matt Tomkins: Posts shutout Saturday
Tomkins recorded a 28-save shutout in AHL Bakersfield's 4-0 win over Henderson on Saturday.
Tomkins is now 7-3-2 on the year after his first shutout this season and the fifth of his career. He's posted a mediocre 3.11 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Tomkins' play hasn't been good enough for him to get a chance to push for an NHL spot, though the Oilers are likely to address their crease concerns with a trade rather than a promotion.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Fourth win in last five starts
Dobes made 22 saves in a 2-1 shootout win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
Scott Laughton beat him with a slapper on a shorthanded breakaway at 10:28 of the third period. Dobes has two straight wins and is 4-1-0 in his last five starts. He has allowed just eight goals in the four wins, one more than the seven he coughed up against Colorado at the end of November.

Dennis Hildeby G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Dennis Hildeby: Sharp in shootout loss
Hildeby made 33 saves in a 2-1 shootout loss to Montreal on Saturday.
The only goal that got past Hildeby came on a jam play by Cole Caufield on a second-period power play. Hildeby was especially sharp that frame -- the Leafs were pinned in their own end for most of the period, and the shots were 14-3 in favor of the Habs. He'll be the starter for at least a week because Joseph Woll is on the shelf with a lower-body injury.

Calvin Petersen G | MIN
Wild's Cal Petersen: Gets second shutout of 2025-26
Petersen logged a 30-save shutout in AHL Iowa's 3-0 win over Manitoba on Saturday.
Petersen hasn't had much success this year, given his 3-9-0 record, but two of his wins have been shutouts. He's added a passable 2.63 GAA and .901 save percentage in 12 appearances. Petersen won't get a look at the NHL as long as Filip Gustavsson and Jesper Wallstedt both stay healthy, as Minnesota's duo has emerged as one of the best goaltending tandems in the league this year.

Jonas Johansson G | TB
Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Tough loss in tight game
Johansson made 17 saves in a 2-0 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.
He allowed just one goal, a between-the-legs power-play snipe by Calum Ritchie at 12:46 of the third period. Johansson has lost two games in a row with Andrei Vasilevskiy out with an undisclosed injury. However, this game wasn't on him -- it was a true goalie's duel.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Posts third shutout of season
Sorokin made 32 saves in a 2-0 win over the Lightning on Saturday.
Sorokin was especially sharp in the second period when he denied Anthony Cirelli twice during a Tampa Bay power play. Sorokin also stymied Brandon Hagel right after the man-advantage situation expired. It was Sorokin's third shutout of the season and 25th in the NHL. He's put up three straight wins, including two this week over the Bolts.

Eric Comrie G | WPG
Jets' Eric Comrie: Starting consecutive games
Comrie will guard the road goal versus the Oilers on Saturday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Comrie stopped 34 of 35 shots versus the Sabres on Friday, but he'll start consecutive games anyway. He'll face a tough challenge from the Oilers, who may be making their usual midseason surge after putting up nine goals on the Kraken on Thursday. Comrie has allowed just eight goals over his last four contests and is 2-1-1 in that span, suggesting he's gotten back on track, but this is a tough assignment.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Spectacular in loss to Avs
Shesterkin made 39 saves Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche.
He was sharp throughout, but Nathan MacKinnon scored in regulation and overtime. Still, Shesterkin put on a clinic and robbed the Avalanche superstar a few times in the contest. Shesterkin has started seven straight games because Jonathan Quick (lower body) was on IR, and he went 5-1-1 in that span. However, Shesterkin can use some rest. Quick dressed Saturday as the backup, and will probably play in Sunday's home matchup against Vegas. Shesterkin is 12-9-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .913 save percentage this campaign.
