  • Jet Greaves G | CLB

Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Third straight overtime loss

Greaves stopped 20 of 24 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.

Greaves has lost his last three games in overtime, allowing 10 goals on 81 shots in that span. The 24-year-old hasn't been able to bail out the Blue Jackets from their third-period struggles, but he also hasn't lost a game in regulation since Nov. 5 versus the Flames. Greaves dropped to 7-4-5 with a 2.81 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 16 starts after this poor outing. The Blue Jackets have a tough road game up next when they visit the Devils on Monday to begin a four-game week.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Nabs overtime win

Jarry stopped 26 of 29 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

Jarry has won consecutive games since returning from a lower-body injury. This is the first time all year he's started back-to-back contests, which suggests he may take more than a 50-50 share of the starts moving forward, leaving Arturs Silovs in the backup role. Jarry is 7-2-0 with a 2.58 GAA and a .912 save percentage over nine starts this season. Silovs will likely be between the pipes for Saturday's home game versus the Maple Leafs.

  • Niklas Kokko G | SEA

Kraken's Niklas Kokko: Posts shutout Friday

Kokko posted a 31-save shutout in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-0 win over San Diego on Friday.

Kokko earned the first shutout of his AHL career with this effort. He's now 6-3-1 with a 3.36 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 11 outings this season as the Firebirds' primary netminder. He will likely spend most or all of 2025-26 with Coachella Valley, as the Kraken have opted to have three goalies on the NHL roster when fully healthy this season.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Continues to be team's best player

Woll made 30 saves in a 4-2 loss to Washington on Friday.

He allowed three goals. Woll was excellent, keeping his struggling teammates in the game when they may not have deserved it. He's been the team's best player over the last handful of games. Woll will take a seat Saturday as Dennis Hildeby gets the nod in a back-to-back.

  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Game sharpening back into focus

Thompson made 20 saves Friday in a 4-2 win over Toronto.

Thompson has sharpened his focus with just three goals allowed in his last two games. This comes after going 1-2-1 with 15 goals allowed in his previous four contests. He allowed four or more goals in three of those four games. Hopefully Thompson is back on his previous strong pace -- prior to that four-game scuffle, he had gone 7-4-0 in 11 starts in which he had allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of those contests.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Strong play continues

Wedgewood made 35 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Wild on Friday.

Wedgewood had won eight consecutive games prior to Friday, and he remains without a regulation loss in nine (8-0-1). Overall, Wedgewood is 13-1-3 with a .920 save percentage and 2.08 GAA. He's given Mackenzie Blackwood the opportunity to effectively ease out of injury, and he's done it with flair. Wedgewood will continue to be a solid fantasy contributor. He's too good to not.

  • Thomas Milic G | WPG

Jets' Thomas Milic: Falls short in NHL debut

Milic allowed four goals on 34 shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Hurricanes, who also scored an empty-netter.

Milic did his best to keep the Jets in the game for 50-plus minutes, but the Hurricanes' relentless pressure took over late in the contest. The 22-year-old ended up with a rougher final line than he deserved in his NHL debut, but this was an excellent first test for him. Milic will likely have to make a handful of starts while the Jets await the return of Connor Hellebuyck (knee). Expect Eric Comrie to get the nod Saturday in Nashville.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Setting standard for netminding

Wallstedt made 39 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over the Avalanche on Friday.

He had two more saves in the shootout to seal the victory. Wallstedt is now 7-0-2 this season, and that's the longest point streak to open a season in Wild history. And he has three shutouts in his last five starts. Among goaltenders with at least nine appearances in 2025-26, Wallstedt leads the NHL with a 1.93 GAA, .938 save percentage and three shutouts.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Little work in win

Bussi stopped 12 of 13 shots in Friday's 5-1 win over the Jets.

The score was close for a large part of the game, but the Jets had trouble generating much pressure, making this a fairly easy assignment for Bussi. The Hurricanes then rallied with four goals in the third period to run away with the win. Bussi has gone 6-1-0 over his first seven NHL appearances, with his last two outings being wins over the Jets. He's added a 2.43 GAA and an .899 save percentage. Bussi and Frederik Andersen will share Carolina's crease until Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body) is healthy again.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Another rough outing

Gibson made 22 saves on 27 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Lightning on Friday. The final marker was an empty-netter.

He allowed five goals. Gibson has really scuffled since starting the season 4-2-0. Starting Oct. 31, he has gone 0-5-1 in seven starts with 26 goals allowed. Gibson has allowed five goals in each of his last three starts. You must keep him stapled to your bench right now. His post-Anaheim resurrection has not begun.
