  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Set to face Edmonton

Thompson is expected to start at home against Edmonton on Wednesday, per Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.

Thompson has an incredible 1.85 GAA and .925 save percentage, but the Capitals haven't always done a great job of supporting him offensively, which has left him with a mediocre 7-5-1 record. He stopped 29 of 31 shots en route to a 3-2 shootout loss to New Jersey in his last start Saturday. Edmonton is 9-8-4 and in a three-way tie for 18th in goals per game with 3.00.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Win streak ends at three

Oettinger made 19 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.

After a scoreless first period, Oettinger allowed one goal in the second period and two in the third. The Dallas offense sputtered in the contest aside from a pair of tallies by Jason Robertson. Oettinger saw his three-start win streak come to an end. He has only two regulation losses in his last nine outings, going 5-2-2 over that stretch with a 2.55 GAA and .899 save percentage.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Secures first win this season

Woll made 27 saves on 29 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win against St. Louis.

After missing the first month of the season due to personal reasons, Woll is back in the win column in his second start of the campaign with an overtime win against the Blues. He allowed just one goal at even strength and posted a .966 save percentage on the night. Overall, the 27-year-old goaltender has a 1-1-0 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .918 save percentage through two starts this season. The addition of Woll back into Toronto's goalie rotation is already paying dividends. He won a career-high 27 games in the 2024-25 regular season and should have the opportunity to vie for a similar number this campaign. He should see plenty of action until Anthony Stolarz (upper body) returns from IR. Regardless, Woll has a save percentage of .907 or higher in each NHL season he's played, making him a top waiver-wire target if he's available.

  • Islanders' David Rittich: Nabs win in Dallas

Rittich turned aside 22 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Stars.

The veteran backup to Ilya Sorokin had an answer for every Dallas skater except Jason Robertson, who got pucks by him in the second and third periods. Rittich has allowed exactly two goals in all five of his wins this season. However, the 11 goals on 60 shots he surrendered in his two losses leave him with a 2.99 GAA and an .896 save percentage.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Falls in overtime Tuesday

Binnington stopped 26 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

Binnington picked up his second consecutive overtime loss after surrendering two goals in regulation before Toronto's William Nylander sent the Blues packing. With the loss, the 32-year-old Binnington has a 4-5-4 record with a 3.30 GAA and an .872 save percentage through 14 games this season. The Blues' starting netminder hasn't had many solid performances to begin the 2025-26 campaign. However, backup Joel Hofer has struggled as well, which should give Binnington more opportunities to work himself out of his early-year funk.

  • Eric Comrie G | WPG

Jets' Eric Comrie: Earns win Tuesday

Comrie stopped 20 of 22 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Comrie made his first appearance since allowing four goals on 21 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Ducks on Nov. 9, but he bounced back admirably and notched a solid performance. Comrie has appeared in only five games this season, but the Jets have won four of those contests. He remains a reliable backup behind Connor Hellebuyck while sporting a 2.60 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Suffers third straight defeat

Merzlikins stopped 25 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Jets.

Merzlikins made his return to the crease for the first time since Nov. 8, when he allowed four goals on 24 shots in a loss to the Canucks. The results weren't encouraging this time around as Merzlikins received his third straight defeat. Even though he's gone 4-4-0 with a 3.37 GAA and a .900 save percentage in eight outings this season, his recent performances (0-3-0, 4.06 GAA, .871 percentage) show he's trending in the wrong direction.

  • Cam Talbot G | DET

Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Nabs third straight win

Talbot made 20 saves in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Kraken.

It was another sharp performance from the 38-year-old netminder, who appears to have the hot hand in the Detroit crease right now. Talbot's won three straight appearances and five of his last six, posting a 2.37 GAA and a .904 save percentage over the latter stretch. John Gibson has stumbled over that period with a record of 0-3-1, a 3.46 GAA and an .875 save percentage in five outings.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Falls to Wings in return

Daccord stopped 23 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings, with Detroit's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

Activated off injured reserve ahead of the matchup, Daccord made his first start since Nov. 5. He held the Wings scoreless in the first period, but the second frame was a different story as Detroit got three pucks past him on just 10 shots. Daccord has just one win in his last five outings, going 1-2-2 with a 3.38 GAA and an .871 save percentage, but he should slot back in as the No. 1 in the crease for Seattle over Philipp Grubauer.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

    Flames' Dustin Wolf: Disappointing performance

Wolf stopped 18 of 22 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks. The fifth goal was an empty-netter with 41 seconds left in the game.

Wolf posted a shutout in a 2-0 win over the Sharks on Nov. 13, but things have gone downhill from there -- he has given up seven goals on 45 shots faced over his last two starts. Wolf is firmly entrenched as the Flames' No. 1 netminder, but the team's offensive struggles limit his upside because he often has to do too much to get positive results. Wolf has gone 3-4-1 with a 2.60 GAA across eight appearances in November while posting a save percentage below .900 four times in that stretch.
