Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Ready for second preseason game
Daccord will protect the road goal versus the Oilers in Wednesday's preseason game, per the NHL media site.
Daccord allowed two goals on 11 shots over two periods in his first appearance during the exhibition slate. The American netminder is locked into the No. 1 role for the Kraken, so his performance in the preseason shouldn't carry much weight.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Making start Wednesday
Greaves will protect the home goal in Wednesday's preseason game versus the Penguins, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Greaves is set for his second preseason appearance after allowing one goal on 24 shots in his previous outing. That was a positive first audition in his attempt to secure one of the Blue Jackets' goaltending spots for the year, and he'll continue to battle with Elvis Merzlikins and Ivan Fedotov during the exhibition slate.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Defending home crease
Andersen will serve as the starting netminder during Wednesday's preseason game at home against Florida, Panthers play-by-play announcer Steve Goldstein reports.
Andersen made 22 regular-season appearances for the Hurricanes last year and went 13-8-1 with a 2.50 GAA and .899 save percentage. After signing a one-year extension with Carolina during the offseason, he'll likely split goaltending duties with Pyotr Kochetkov this year.

Daniil Tarasov G | FLA
Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Starting against Carolina
Tarasov will defend the road crease during Wednesday's preseason game against Carolina, Panthers play-by-play announcer Steve Goldstein reports.
After four seasons in Columbus, Tarasov joined the Panthers during the offseason and should serve as Sergei Bobrovsky's backup this year. Tarasov made 20 regular-season appearances for the Blue Jackets last year and went 7-10-2 with a 3.55 GAA and .880 save percentage.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Tending twine against Los Angeles
Dostal will defend the home crease during Wednesday's preseason game against the Kings, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Dostal didn't appear in either of the Ducks' first two preseason matchups this year, but he'll draw the start at home Wednesday. The 25-year-old made a career-high 54 regular-season appearances last year and went 23-23-7 with a 3.10 GAA and .903 save percentage. He inked a five-year, $32.5 million contract extension during the offseason and is expected to begin the year as Anaheim's No. 1 netminder.

Thatcher Demko G | VAN
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Expected to start
Demko is set to get the home start for Wednesday's preseason game against Calgary, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.
Demko might not end up playing the full game, given that it's still early in the preseason. He's trying to put an injury-riddled campaign behind him in which he posted a 10-8-3 record, 2.90 GAA and .889 save percentage across 23 appearances with Vancouver. If Demko stays healthy, he could bounce back in a big way this year.
-
Stuart Skinner G | PIT
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets nod Wednesday
Skinner is expected to get the home start for Wednesday's preseason game against Seattle.
Samuel Jonsson will serve as Skinner's understudy, and the duo might end up splitting the workload given that this is an early preseason game. Skinner is expected to start the campaign as Edmonton's clear No. 1 goaltender and will likely get more than 50 regular-season appearances as long as he stays healthy.

Ivan Prosvetov G | CGY
Flames' Ivan Prosvetov: Expected to face Vancouver
Prosvetov is expected to get the road start for Wednesday's preseason game against Vancouver, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Prosvetov might not play the full game this early in the preseason, so it wouldn't be surprising if Devin Cooley also logs some minutes in net Wednesday. The 26-year-old Prosvetov is competing with Cooley to be Calgary's backup goaltender behind Dustin Wolf.
-
Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Set to start Wednesday
Silovs is expected to play between the pipes in Wednesday's road exhibition game against Columbus, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
The plan is for Silovs to be in net for the first half of the game before Filip Larsson replaces him for the second half. Silovs is projected to start the 2025-26 campaign as Tristan Jarry's understudy. However, there might be an opportunity for Silovs to play a bigger role if he does well, and Jarry endures the same kind of struggles he did last year.

Joel Blomqvist G | PIT
Penguins' Joel Blomqvist: Labeled day-to-day
Blomqvist suffered a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day, the team announced Wednesday.
Blomqvist was unlikely to make the Opening Night roster for the Penguins ahead of Tristan Jarry or Arturs Silovs, so this injury likely will have minimal impact on fantasy managers. Still, with Blomqvist sidelined, the Pens could give prospect Sergei Murashov a few extra minutes during preseason, which could see Blomqvist slide further down the organizational depth chart.
