Forsberg will protect the road goal in Tuesday's preseason game versus the Golden Knights, Jared Shafran of LA Kings Insider reports.
Forsberg will take a turn in the crease as he prepares to handle the backup role behind Darcy Kuemper in 2025-26. The 32-year-old Forsberg went 11-12-3 with a 2.72 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 30 regular-season games with the Senators last year, and his workload should be fairly similar in his first season with the Kings.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Tending twine Tuesday
Oettinger will start in goal for Tuesday's preseason contest versus the Wild.

Juuse Saros G | NSH
Predators' Juuse Saros: Starting preseason contest
Saros will patrol the home crease in Tuesday's exhibition game versus Tampa Bay, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Saros earned a 20-31-6 record with four shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage across 58 regular-season outings in 2024-25. He led the league in regulation losses, but he has plenty of bounce-back appeal in the 2025-26 campaign if the Predators improve in front of him.

Pickard will patrol the road crease in Tuesday's preseason game versus the Jets, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Pickard looks set to begin 2025-26 as the backup netminder for the Oilers, though a strong preseason could earn him something closer to a 50-50 split with Stuart Skinner. Pickard went 22-10-1 with a 2.71 GAA and a .900 save percentage in 36 regular-season games last year.

Shesterkin earned a 27-29-5 record with six shutouts, a 2.86 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 61 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. He should see plenty of action with the Rangers this campaign, and he does possess bounce-back appeal for fantasy managers.

MacKenzie Blackwood G | COL
Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Progressing, may miss opener
Blackwood (lower body) is progressing, but he could be unavailable for Opening Night on Oct. 7 against the Kings, per Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette on Tuesday.
Blackwood has been skating and faced shots during Tuesday's on-ice session. However, he remains week-to-week due to a lower-body injury. If Blackwood isn't ready for the start of the 2025-26 campaign, Scott Wedgewood and Trent Miner could be Colorado's top two netminders.
