  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Takes overtime loss in relief

Fleury stopped six of seven shots in relief of Filip Gustavsson (illness) in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights in Game 5.

Fleury wasn't tested much in the third period, but Brett Howden's one-timer got by him in overtime. It was a tough position for Fleury to come into, and now the Wild will face elimination when they play Game 6 at home Thursday. Fleury would start if Gustavsson remains under the weather for that contest.

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Grabs overtime win

Hill stopped 20 of 22 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Wild in Game 5.

Hill did enough to get his second win in a row, though he got a big assist from the Golden Knights' video crew to overturn a Wild go-ahead goal for being offside late in the third period. Hill is 3-2 this postseason, but he's allowed 15 goals over those five games. The 28-year-old will have a chance to close out the series in Minnesota on Thursday in Game 6.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Leaves game due to illness

Gustavsson (illness) exited Tuesday's Game 5 versus the Golden Knights after two periods.

Gustavsson didn't look sick while in the crease, stopping 23 of 25 shots over the first two periods. However, he left the game with the Wild down by one. Marc-Andre Fleury took over between the pipes and would likely get the start Thursday in Minnesota if Gustavsson remains under the weather.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Played well in loss

Stolarz made 15 saves Tuesday in a 4-0 loss to Ottawa in Game 5. He allowed two goals.

The loss wasn't on Stolarz -- he played well, and he pretty much kept the score 1-0 for most of the game while waiting for his teammates to score. All while Linus Ullmark dazzled at the other end of the ice. Stolarz can't win the games by himself. Still, the Maple Leafs lead the best-of-7 series 3-2, and Game 6 will be in the Sens' barn on Thursday.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: First career playoff shutout

Ullmark made 27 saves in a 4-0 win over Toronto on Tuesday in Game 5.

It was Ullmark's first career playoff shutout, and it included eight high-danger saves. He also delivered a strong 2.83 GSAx. Ullmark was dialed in, and he will need to be in order for the Sens to take the series. The Maple Leafs lead the best-of-7 series 3-2; Game 6 will be in Ottawa on Thursday.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Starting Game 5

Gustavsson will start on the road in Tuesday's Game 5 versus the Golden Knights, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Gustavsson made 42 saves on 46 shots in Saturday's overtime loss in Game 4, which left the series tied at 2-2. The 26-year-old allowed five goals on 58 shots over the first two games of the series in Vegas and has been fairly steady throughout the playoffs.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Tending twine in must-win game

Markstrom will protect the road goal versus the Hurricanes in Tuesday's Game 5, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Markstrom is 1-3 despite a 2.53 GAA and a .913 save percentage over four playoff games. He's kept things moderately close in the series despite the Devils losing a defenseman to injury nearly every game of the playoffs so far. However, this is a must-win contest, so Markstrom will need to be at his best to send the series back to New Jersey.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Slated to start

Kuemper is expected to patrol the home crease in Game 5 against Edmonton on Tuesday, per Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider.

Kuemper has lost his last two outings but stopped 44 of 48 shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 4. He has a 2-2 record with a 3.74 GAA and an .881 save percentage through four appearances this postseason. Edmonton ranks second in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs with 34.0 shots per game.

  • Hockey Club's Jaxson Stauber: Inks two-year extension

Stauber signed a two-year, two-way contract with Utah on Tuesday.

Stauber had a 2-1-1 record with a 3.26 GAA and an .892 save percentage in six NHL appearances with Utah during the 2024-25 regular season. If Connor Ingram (personal) returns to the active roster in 2025-26, Stauber could start the season with AHL Tucson.

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Tending twine Tuesday

Hill will defend the road cage in Game 5 against the Wild on Tuesday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.

Hill allowed at least three goals for the third straight matchup in Game 4 on Saturday, but he helped Vegas even up the series at 2-2 by turning aside 29 of 32 shots on goal in a 4-3 overtime victory. The 28-year-old has a 2-2 record, 3.30 GAA and .854 save percentage over four starts in this series. Minnesota will have a few changes in Game 5, as Marcus Johansson has moved past his lower-body injury, and Jon Merrill will replace Zeev Buium on the third pairing next to Zach Bogosian.
