Sam Montembeault G | MON
Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Starting against Chicago
Montembeault will serve as the starting netminder for Monday's home game against Chicago, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Montembeault's five-game winning streak came to an end Friday against Ottawa, as he allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 save percentage). However, he should have a more favorable matchup Monday, as the Blackhawks are averaging just 2.71 goals per game this season, which is the sixth-worst mark in the NHL.

Sergei Bobrovsky G | FLA
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: First goalie off Monday
Bobrovsky was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports, indicating he'll be in goal at home versus the Rangers.
Bobrovsky has given up just one goal in each of his last two contests, posting a 2-0-0 record and .951 save percentage. With the veteran backstop getting the nod Monday, fantasy managers can likely expect to see Vitek Vanecek in the crease for the second game of a back-to-back on the road versus the Lightning on Tuesday, but it will be all Bobrovsky when the playoffs start.

Hunter Shepard G | MON
Capitals' Hunter Shepard: Dropped down to minors
Shepard was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Monday.
Shepard will trade places with Clay Stevenson, who was promoted to the NHL roster in a corresponding move. The 29-year-old Shepard has made just one NHL appearance this year, in which he gave up seven goals on 26 shots (.731 save percentage) in a loss to Columbus on Saturday.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Loses it late Sunday
Dostal stopped 20 of 23 shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
The Avalanche deployed a preseason-esque lineup, and Dostal shut them out for 50 minutes. They went on to score three times in a span of 7:46 against Dostal before icing it with an empty-netter. There have been some setbacks for the Ducks this year, but that's a tough loss to swallow, given the circumstances. Dostal has lost three of his last four games while allowing 17 goals in that span. He's now at a 23-23-6 record with a 3.11 GAA and a .902 save percentage over 53 outings. The Ducks conclude their season with a road back-to-back against the Wild on Tuesday and the Jets on Wednesday. If John Gibson (lower body) doesn't travel, Dostal and Ville Husso will likely split those starts.

Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Backstops comeback win
Wedgewood stopped 18 of 20 shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.
For the fourth game in a row, Wedgewood limited an opponent to two goals. He's gone 3-0-1 in that span, ending the regular season on a positive note. Overall, he's 14-6-2 with a 2.32 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 24 appearances between the Avalanche and the Predators this season. The Avalanche are locked into a first-round series versus the Stars, but Wedgewood is unlikely to see any playing time against his former team unless Mackenzie Blackwood gets hurt or plays poorly.

Georgi Romanov G | STL
Sharks' Georgi Romanov: Loses again versus Flames
Romanov stopped 25 of 29 shots in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Flames. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Romanov is now 0-6-0 through eight outings this season, including two losses to the Flames. The 25-year-old netminder simply hasn't gotten enough goal support -- the Sharks have scored no more than two goals in any of his eight appearances this season. He's added a 3.89 GAA and an .877 save percentage in 2024-25. Romanov is getting a long look late in the campaign, likely to evaluate if he'll be an option to serve as the Sharks' backup next season, potentially behind Yaroslav Askarov should the team let Alexandar Georgiev walk in free agency.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Secures another win
Wolf stopped 28 of 30 shots in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.
The game was tied at 2-2 through two periods, but the Flames' offense pulled away in the third, giving Wolf his fourth win in six starts. He's 4-0-2 in that stretch, but the Flames can no longer afford losses of any kind. The 23-year-old netminder improved to 28-16-8 with a 2.62 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 52 outings. He's generally had a successful first full NHL season, but it's looking likely the Flames will need Wolf to achieve his second four-game winning streak to make the playoffs. Their next game is a tough one Tuesday at home versus the Golden Knights, a team that bested him in overtime April 5 by a 3-2 score.

Eric Comrie G | WPG
Jets' Eric Comrie: Comes up short Sunday
Comrie stopped 35 of 38 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Both teams were at less than full strength, but the Jets resting two of their top defensemen didn't make things easy for Comrie. He faced a lot of shots and wasn't able to keep enough pucks out, taking his second loss in four starts. The 29-year-old dropped to 9-10-1 on the year with a 2.39 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 20 starts. The Jets' regular-season finale is at home Wednesday versus the Ducks, and it's not yet clear if head coach Scott Arniel will give Comrie another look or let Connor Hellebuyck get a final tune-up before the postseason.
-
Stuart Skinner G | PIT
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Sharp against depleted Jets
Skinner stopped 17 of 18 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.
The Jets rested two defensemen and had three of their regular forwards out of the lineup as well. All told, Skinner turned in a good performance in his first game action since March 26, though he wasn't facing an opponent at full strength. The 26-year-old netminder is at a 25-18-4 record with a 2.87 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 50 appearances this season. Calvin Pickard will likely face the Kings on Monday, but Skinner could get another tune-up before the playoffs in Wednesday's regular-season finale in San Jose. At this time, it's not clear which goalie will be the Oilers' No. 1 entering the postseason.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Loses in low-event game
Markstrom made 21 saves on 22 shots in Sunday's 1-0 loss to the Islanders.
Markstrom wasn't at fault for the game's lone goal -- Bo Horvat picked off a Timo Meier pass and proceeded to give the Islanders the lead in the final minute of the middle frame. Markstrom has now lost back-to-back appearances, which moves him down to a 26-16-6 record, .900 save percentage and 2.50 GAA over 49 starts in 2024-25. The Devils have a back-to-back set versus Boston on Tuesday and against Detroit on Wednesday, with Markstrom and Jake Allen likely to split those starts.
