  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Set to face Florida

Woll is expected to start on the road against Florida on Thursday, per David Alter of The Hockey News.

Woll has won his past two starts while turning aside 56 of 60 shots (.933 save percentage), but due in large part to the Olympic break, he hasn't played between the pipes since Feb. 2. He has a 13-7-4 record, 2.92 GAA and .908 save percentage in 25 appearances this season. Florida is set to play in its first game since the break. The Panthers were struggling before the Olympics, going 1-5-0 across their past six games.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Set to start Thursday

Kuemper is slated to defend the home crease against the Oilers on Thursday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.

Kuemper largely struggled heading into the Olympic break, going 2-2-0 with a 3.37 GAA and .866 save percentage over his last five outings. He'll face a tough test in the second half of a back-to-back set Thursday, as the Oilers rank fourth in the NHL with 3.44 goals per game.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Expected to start Thursday

Ersson is set to start on the road against the Rangers on Thursday.

Ersson has an 8-10-5 record, 3.51 GAA and .856 save percentage in 24 outings in 2025-26. He was struggling before the Olympic break, allowing 17 goals on 105 shots (.838 save percentage) across his past four appearances. However, the Rangers are also going through a rough patch, as they're 3-13-2 while averaging 2.61 goals per game across their past 18 games.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Between pipes Thursday

Askarov will tend the twine at home against the Flames on Thursday, Sheng Peng of SanJoseHockeyNow.com reports.

Askarov has lost six of his last seven outings, posting a 1-5-1 record and 3.89 GAA. With the 23-year-old backstop struggling, the Sharks could give some more starts to Alex Nedeljkovic, but they'll likely continue to rely on Askarov in at least a split share of the starts.

  • Hugo Ollas G | NYR

Rangers' Hugo Ollas: Returned to minors

Ollas was reassigned to ECHL Bloomington on Thursday.

Ollas was a temporary practice fill-in for the Rangers while they waited for Igor Shesterkin (lower body) to be cleared, coming out of the Olympic break. Considering the 23-year-old Ollas is still playing down in the ECHL, fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to make an NHL appearance anytime soon.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Starting against Nashville

Knight will start Thursday's road game against Nashville, Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News reports.

Knight drew three consecutive starts heading into the Olympic break, and he'll tend the twine in the Blackhawks' first matchup following the layoff. Across his last five outings, he's gone 1-3-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .864 save percentage.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Drawing start against Montreal

Sorokin will defend the road crease against Montreal on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Sorokin was in the starter's crease during Thursday's morning skate, and he'll officially tend the twine during the Islanders' first game following the Olympic break. Across his last five starts, he's gone 4-1-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .930 save percentage.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Game-time call versus Hawks

Saros will be a game-time call ahead of Thursday's home clash with Chicago, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Saros is currently second in the NHL in starts with 44, behind Utah's Karel Vejmelka (45). In his last five outings, the 30-year-old netminder is 1-1-2 with a 4.75 GAA. If Saros doesn't get the start Thursday, Justus Annunen figures to be pressed into service for the Preds.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Gives up four goals in loss

Vejmelka stopped 21 of 25 shots in Wednesday's loss to the Avalanche.

Vejmelka didn't play in the Olympics for Czechia, so he didn't have problems making a start in the return of the NHL season, but his performance wasn't the best. However, he was facing an Avalanche offense that leads the NHL in scoring with 3.84 goals per game. He'll aim to bounce back Friday against the Wild, who will be playing in the second leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Earns win Wednesday

Wedgewood stopped 28 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Mammoth.

Wedgewood got the start in the first half of the back-to-back set and looked poised between the pipes en route to the win. He hasa 4-3-1 record in eight outings since the start of the calendar year while allowing two or fewer goals in five games during that span, so his performances have been better than his 2.75 GAA indicates. Wedgewood should return to the No. 2 role with Mackenzie Blackwood expected to get the start against the Wild on Thursday.
