  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Tending twine in Dallas

Demko will patrol the road crease Tuesday versus the Stars, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet relays.

Demko is 3-2-0 with a 2.82 GAA and an .892 save percentage since returning from a lower-body injury March 24. Vancouver is all but eliminated from postseason contention, but if Demko can stay healthy for the team's remaining five games, he could set himself up for a bounce-back season in 2025-26. The 29-year-old was dealing with a knee injury last offseason, so a full summer of training would likely go a long way for Demko, who posted an outstanding 35-14-2 record in 2023-24. As for Tuesday's opponent, Dallas has dropped back-to-back games after winning seven straight.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Earns win vs. Oilers

Dostal stopped 45 of 47 shots in Monday's 3-2 win over the Oilers.

Dostal tied his season-high mark in saves in a single game in an impressive showing, and he was beaten just twice by Edmonton, although the Oilers were missing two of the most prolific forwards in the league in Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) and Connor McDavid (lower body), so he wasn't playing Edmonton at anywhere close to its best. Dostal has secured the win in three of his previous six appearances, going 3-2-0 with a 3.52 GAA and an .885 save percentage in that span.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Expected starter in Buffalo

Kochetkov is slated to tend the road twine Tuesday against the Sabres, per Heather Engel of NHL.com.

Kochetkov has faltered of late, going 1-3-0 with a 4.61 GAA and an .804 save percentage over his last four starts, which comes on the heels of a five-game winning streak. It won't get any easier against a Buffalo team that has won four consecutive games and seven of its last eight. Kochetkov is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA against the Sabres in his career.

  • Sharks' Georgi Romanov: Struggles late Monday

Romanov made 29 out of 32 saves in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Flames.

Romanov cruised through the first two periods before his play collapsed in the third frame. He allowed three goals in a seven-minute stretch, which was enough for the Flames to turn the tide and steal the win from San Jose. With the loss, the 25-year-old Romanov has a record of 0-4-0 with a 4.01 GAA and an .873 save percentage in six appearances this season. While Romanov should continue to see some action in net with the Sharks eliminated from playoff contention, it is best to fade him in fantasy formats. His next opportunity to guard the crease is Wednesday in Minnesota.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: First off at morning skate

Vejmelka is expected to draw his 21st consecutive start against the Kraken on Tuesday, according to Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.

While it's atypical for a starting goaltender to start this many games in a row, head coach Andre Tourigny won't allow his team to fade quietly from postseason contention over the final stretch of the season. Vejmelka's statline during his 20-game starting streak has been decent -- he's 11-6-3 with a 2.48 GAA and a .901 save percentage in that period. Seattle is on the second half of a back-to-back after defeating the Kings 2-1 on Monday, while Utah has been off since Saturday.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Hangs on for win Monday

Wolf made 29 saves out of 31 shots on net in Monday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.

Wolf surrendered the only goal of the first period but then nearly kept Calgary's net clean for the remaining 40 minutes. Despite Will Smith's late goal with two minutes remaining in regulation, Wolf and the Flames' offense did enough to secure the victory. With Monday's win, the 23-year-old Wolf has a 26-16-7 record with a 2.62 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 49 outings this season. After going through a tough stretch in the latter half of March, Wolf has two wins, a 1.97 GAA and a .933 save percentage across four starts in April. Wolf's first full campaign has been one of the strongest among rookies this season. He has done enough to be in the conversation for a spot among the Calder Trophy finalists at the end of the season. Wolf has solid value in all fantasy formats for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Oilers' Olivier Rodrigue: Tagged with loss in first start

Rodrigue stopped 18 of 21 shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.

Making just his second appearance at the NHL level, Rodrigue was decent in his first start, but he was beaten twice in the second period and once more in the third. The Oilers didn't provide enough offense to back him up, which wasn't surprising given the absence of star players Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) and Connor McDavid (lower body), meaning Rodrigue ended up being tagged with the loss. Rodrigue isn't expected to start again any time soon, as Calvin Pickard should remain the starter between the pipes for the Oilers until Stuart Skinner (head) is ready to return to the ice.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Slated to face Vegas

Wedgewood is expected to draw the home start Tuesday versus the Golden Knights, per Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

Wedgewood will make his first start since turning aside 21 of 23 shots in a 3-2 win over Chicago on April 2. The 32-year-old is playing at a high level, earning a 6-0-1 record, 1.54 GAA and .933 save percentage across his last eight appearances. He'll have his hands full against a Vegas club that sits sixth in the NHL with 3.34 goals per game and is 8-2-0 over its last 10 games.

  • Kraken's Victor Ostman: Recalled from minors

Ostman was called up from AHL Coachella Valley on Tuesday.

Ostman's promotion to the NHL roster could be an indication that either Joey Daccord or Philipp Grubauer won't be available to face Utah on Tuesday -- though it could also be a precautionary move to add some extra depth ahead of the final two games of a five-game road trip. Regardless, it almost certainly won't be Ostman who gets the starting nod against Utah.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Slated starter against Vancouver

DeSmith was the first netminder off at Tuesday's morning skate, according to Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine, which indicates he'll draw the starting nod versus the Canucks.

DeSmith surrendered four goals on 39 shots in a 5-3 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday. The veteran netminder holds a 14-7-1 record, .921 save percentage and 2.38 GAA over 24 appearances this season. The Canucks are tied for 21st in the league with 2.83 goals per game in 2024-25 and have dropped four of their last five games, so DeSmith has a chance to get back on the right track in this Western Conference tilt.
