  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Facing Sabres

Thompson will patrol the home crease against Buffalo on Sunday, per Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network.

Thompson had his five-game winning streak snapped in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Winnipeg. He has a 31-4-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.32 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 41 appearances this season. Buffalo is tied for 10th in the league with 3.17 goals per game and lost 7-4 to Philadelphia on Saturday.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Tending twine Sunday

Montembeault will defend the road net against Florida on Sunday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Montembeault has surrendered 16 goals on 118 shots during his four-game losing skid (0-2-2). He has a 25-23-6 record with four shutouts, a 2.93 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 54 appearances this season. Florida ranks 12th in the league with 3.14 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blue Jackets' Daniil Tarasov: Concedes three goals in loss

Tarasov saved 24 of 27 shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.

Tarasov surrendered two goals in the first period and one more in the second, which would be enough for the Senators to seal the win at home. However, Tarasov kept Columbus' net tidy throughout the final 30 minutes of the contest. The 26-year-old goaltender now has a 7-9-1 record with a 3.49 GAA and an .882 save percentage in 18 appearances this season. Tarasov has lost two of his last three starts and has allowed three goals in each of those outings. It is best to fade the struggling Tarasov for the rest of the season in fantasy.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Starting in Chicago

Vejmelka will guard the road goal versus the Blackhawks on Sunday, per Utah radio broadcaster Mike Folta.

Vejmelka is coming off a 30-save effort in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to Florida. He has a 21-20-7 record with one shutout, a 2.60 GAA and a .903 save percentage across 50 appearances this season. Chicago sits 27th in the league with 2.71 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Sabres' James Reimer: Set to face Washington

Reimer will defend the road net against the Capitals on Sunday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.

Reimer will get the second half of Buffalo's back-to-back after Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen played in Saturday's 7-4 loss to Philadelphia. The 37-year-old Reimer has stopped 85 of 93 shots during his three-game winning streak. He has a 5-6-2 record with a 2.71 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 15 appearances with the Sabres this season. Washington leads the league with 3.61 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Shuts down late comeback

Ullmark made 29 of 31 saves in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Despite a late goal from Columbus forward Kirill Marchenko, Ullmark held firm to keep the Senators in the lead down the stretch. With the win, Ullmark is up to a 21-13-3 record with a 2.76 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 39 appearances this season. Saturday's victory raised the 31-year-old's winning streak to three games. He has posted an exceptional record throughout March at 9-2-1 with a .904 save percentage. He is just one win away from tying his win total from a season ago. With his recent momentum, Ullmark is a top-tier fantasy option in the crease as the Senators look to lock down a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Burned by New Jersey

Gustavsson turned aside 28 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Devils.

Nico Hischier hung a hat trick on the 26-year-old netminder as Gustavsson gave up more than four goals in a game for the first time since Feb. 1. It's a rare misstep in March for Gustavsson, who has gone 7-4-1 over 12 starts this month with a 1.99 GAA and .930 save percentage as the Wild try to lock down a playoff spot.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Picks up win in Minny

Markstrom stopped 22 shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Wild.

The Devils never trailed in the game thanks in part to a Nico Hischier hat trick, but Markstrom was also locked in. Markstrom has turned things around of late, going 2-0-1 over his last three starts with a 2.60 GAA, and he sits one win away from 25 on the season -- a plateau the 35-year-old netminder has reached only twice before in his career.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Takes tough loss Saturday

Blackwood made 25 saves in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Blues.

The 28-year-old netminder played well, but Jordan Binnington was just a little bit better in the other crease. Blackwood has been stingy in general in March, going 5-2-1 over eight starts with a 2.23 GAA and .912 save percentage as the Avs tick closer to locking up a playoff spot.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Sharp in fifth straight win

Binnington turned aside 28 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Avalanche.

Nathan MacKinnon got a puck past him in the first period, but otherwise Binnington was a brick wall as he won his fifth straight start and led the Blues to their ninth straight victory. Over his win streak, the 31-year-old netminder has a dazzling 1.58 GAA and .938 save percentage, flashing the form that helped lead St. Louis to a Stanley Cup in 2018-19.
