  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Not starting after all

Samsonov won't start Saturday in Nashville despite leading the Golden Knights onto the ice for warmups, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Samsonov was the logical choice to start the second half of a back-to-back, but instead, it will be Adin Hill in goal for the second game in a row. It's a tough break for fantasy managers who were banking on Samsonov against a fairly easy opponent, as the switch came after the roster lock. It's unclear if Samsonov is currently dealing with something that is keeping him from playing.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: Facing Golden Knights

Annunen will patrol the home crease against Vegas on Saturday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Annunen has lost his last two outings, surrendering six goals on 51 shots. He has posted a record of 8-7-1 with a 2.96 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 17 appearances with Nashville this season. Vegas sits fourth in the league with 3.42 goals per game and earned a 5-3 win over Chicago on Friday.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Expected to face Toronto

Kuemper is expected to start at home against Toronto on Saturday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Kuemper has a 7-1-0 record, 1.00 GAA and .954 save percentage across his past eight appearances. He'll try to keep his hot play alive against a Maple Leafs team that ranks seventh in goals per game with 3.26 this season. Kuemper has a 25-9-7 record, 2.10 GAA and .918 save percentage in 42 outings in 2024-25.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Starting in Nashville

Samsonov will protect the road goal versus the Predators on Saturday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Samsonov will start after Adin Hill tended the twine in Friday's win over the Blackhawks. The 28-year-old Samsonov is 2-1-1 in March, but he's been sharp with just eight goals allowed on 103 shots (.922 save percentage). While the Golden Knights may be a little tired due to the road back-to-back, the Predators' offense isn't too intimidating, so Samsonov is still a decent fantasy option.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set to start Saturday

Gustavsson is expected to start at home against the Devils on Saturday, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

Gustavsson is red hot, posting a 4-1-0 record, 1.21 GAA and .958 save percentage across his past five appearances. He's 29-16-4 with a 2.46 GAA and a .918 save percentage in 50 outings this season. New Jersey ranks 17th in goals per game with 2.95.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Starting in Minnesota

Markstrom will defend the road net versus the Wild on Saturday, according to Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

Markstrom will get the second half of New Jersey's back-to-back after Jake Allen played in Friday's 4-0 loss to Winnipeg. The 35-year-old Markstrom is coming off a 21-save effort in Wednesday's 5-3 win over Chicago. He has a 23-14-6 record with three shutouts, a 2.51 GAA and a .900 save percentage across 44 appearances this season. Minnesota ranks 28th in the league with 2.70 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Blue Jackets' Daniil Tarasov: Set to face Ottawa

Tarasov is expected to start on the road against Ottawa on Saturday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Tarasov is making his first appearance since allowing three goals on 20 shots en route to a 4-0 loss to the Rangers on March 15. He's 7-8-2 with a 3.52 GAA and an .881 save percentage in 17 appearances in 2024-25. Ottawa is tied for 18th in goals per game with 2.92.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Guarding goal Saturday

Stolarz will defend the road net against the Kings on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Stolarz has won his last two outings, stopping 44 of 49 shots. He has a 15-8-3 record with one shutout, a 2.40 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 28 appearances this season. The Kings sit 20th in the league with 2.89 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Sent to minors

Silovs was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Silovs has a 2-6-1 record, 3.65 GAA and .861 save percentage in 10 appearances with Vancouver in 2024-25. The Canucks had been carrying three healthy goaltenders since Thatcher Demko returned from a lower-body injury Monday. Kevin Lankinen is still with the Canucks to serve as Demko's understudy.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Defending crease Saturday

Blackwood will patrol the home crease against St. Louis on Saturday.

Blackwood has stopped 68 of 74 shots during his three-game winning streak. He has a 21-8-3 record with three shutouts, a 2.15 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 32 appearances with Colorado this season. St. Louis ranks 14th in the league with 3.01 goals per game in 2024-25.
