Dan Vladar G | PHI
Flyers' Dan Vladar: Ends season in impressive fashion
Vladar made 37 saves Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Vladar was the game's third star -- he was absolutely pelted with pucks. Yes, the Canes swept the Flyers in four, but not because of Vladar -- his mates managed only five goals in those four games. The 2025-26 campaign was the season of Vladar. The former member of the Flames went 29-14-7 with a 2.42 GAA and .906 save percentage in 51 starts this past regular season, and a 4-6 playoff record with an amazing 2.18 GAA and .922 save percentage. Vladar has been a solid fit to backstop head coach Rick Tocchet's aggressive style. He's going to be a target on draft day next year.

Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Perfect run continues
Andersen made 15 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Andersen is a perfect 8-0 this postseason. He leads all netminders in GAA (1.12) and save percentage (.950). He has been exceptional, and he'll get a much-deserved rest until the Eastern Conference Finals against either the Canadiens or Sabres. Andersen is only the fourth goalie in NHL history to allow two goals or fewer in each of his first eight starts of a playoff run.

Dan Vladar G | PHI
Flyers' Dan Vladar: Expected to start Saturday
Vladar is slated to start at home against Carolina for Game 4 on Saturday, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.
Vladar is 4-5 with a 2.11 GAA and a .921 save percentage in nine playoff outings this year. While those overall postseason numbers look good, he's been less effective against Carolina in the second round, going 0-3 while allowing 10 goals on 96 shots (.896 save percentage). The Flyers need a win Saturday to avoid elimination. Carolina is 7-0 and has averaged 3.00 goals per game in the 2026 postseason.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Facing Flyers in Game 4
Andersen will defend the road net against Philadelphia on Saturday in Game 4, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Andersen is coming off an 18-save performance in Game 3's 4-1 win over the Flyers on Thursday. He has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his previous seven outings this postseason. During that span, Andersen has stopped 176 of 184 shots and earned two shutouts en route to a 7-0 record.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Tending twine Sunday
Dostal will protect the home net in Game 4 against Vegas on Sunday, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Dostal got the hook from Friday's 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3. He allowed three goals on only eight shots in the defeat, and Ville Husso was between the pipes for the Ducks after the first intermission. Dostal has a 5-4 record this postseason, stopping 184 of the 210 shots he has faced.

Scott Wedgewood G | COL
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: First off ahead of Game 3
Wedgewood was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, indicating he will start Saturday's Game 3 road matchup against Minnesota, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Wedgewood is coming off a 29-save performance in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Wild in Game 2 of Round 2. He has turned aside 155 of 168 shots en route to a 6-0 record during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Starting Game 3
Wallstedt will patrol the home crease against Colorado on Saturday in Game 3, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Wallstedt will return to the crease after Filip Gustavsson played in Tuesday's 5-2 defeat against the Avalanche. The 23-year-old Wallstedt allowed eight goals on 42 shots in Game 1's 9-6 loss to Colorado, with the final tally being an empty-netter. He has allowed 22 goals on 227 shots en route to a 4-3 record in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Alex Lyon G | BUF
Sabres' Alex Lyon: Shaky effort in Game 2 loss
Lyon stopped 23 of 27 shots Friday in the Sabres' 5-1 loss to the Canadiens in Game 2 of their second-round series, with Montreal's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
The 33-year-old goaltender faced several scoring chances due to careless defensive mistakes, but he also wasn't at his best in the contest. Lyon would probably like another crack at Mike Matheson's game-winner early in the first period, which was a long-range shot into the top corner. It was the first time this postseason that Lyon surrendered more than two goals in a contest, but it shouldn't cost him his starting job ahead of Game 3 in Montreal on Sunday. Through seven outings this postseason, he has a 1.73 GAA and .934 save percentage.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Sharp in Game 2 win
Dobes made 28 saves Friday in the Canadiens' 5-1 win over the Sabres in Game 2 of their second-round series.
After allowing four goals on just 16 shots in Game 1 of Round 2, Dobes bounced back with a superb performance. His shutout was spoiled late in the second period by Zach Benson in Friday's win. The 24-year-old Dobes has been one of the biggest surprises of the postseason so far, posting a 2.14 GAA and .917 save percentage through nine starts. Dobes will look to stay locked in as the series shifts to Montreal for Game 3 on Sunday.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Draws in for relief outing
Husso stopped 17 of 19 shots in relief of Lukas Dostal in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 3.
Husso played the final two periods and gave up the last two goals of Mitch Marner's hat trick. The Golden Knights also had an empty-netter in the third. Husso has stopped 27 of 30 shots over two relief appearances this postseason. After the game, head coach Joel Quenneville didn't commit to a starting goalie for Sunday's Game 4, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports, so it's possible Husso will get a start. In any case, it appears Dostal is on a short leash, which could lead to a switch in the crease if Game 4 goes poorly for the Ducks.
