Samuel Ersson G | PHI
Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Tending twine Thursday
Ersson will patrol the home crease versus Tampa Bay on Thursday, according to Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Ersson has really struggled over his last four starts, allowing 16 goals on 89 shots (.820 save percentage). Ersson is 18-12-4 with a 2.97 GAA and an .889 save percentage across 37 appearances this season. The Lightning are second in NHL scoring, generating 3.50 goals per game in 2024-25.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Gets starting nod Thursday
Merzlikins will defend the home crease versus Vegas on Thursday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Merzlikins has lost his last three games, allowing 12 goals on 102 shots (.882 save percentage). The losing streak has raised his GAA to 3.04, while lowering his save percentage to .896 this season. Merzlikins is 22-17-4 with one shutout. The Golden Knights are generating 3.34 goals per game in 2024-25, fifth in the NHL.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Yields five goals Wednesday
Dobes gave up five goals on 35 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Kraken.
This one will sting -- the Canadiens were ahead 4-2 midway through the third period. Dobes allowed a pair of power-play goals to Jani Nyman and Matty Beniers, and then Brandon Montour scored four seconds into overtime, which is the fastest goal from the start of overtime in NHL history. Over his last seven outings, Dobes has gone 1-3-2 with 23 goals allowed on 198 shots. The 23-year-old netminder slipped to 6-3-2 with a 2.71 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 12 starts as a rookie this season. Sam Montembeault is likely to get the nod in a tough home matchup versus the Panthers on Saturday.

Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Collects overtime win
Daccord stopped 21 of 25 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Canadiens.
As it has been lately, it wasn't pretty, but Daccord did just enough to get the win with some late heroics from the Kraken offense. Matty Beniers tied the game with 2:12 left in the third period, and Brandon Montour scored the fastest goal from the start of overtime in NHL history to secure the win. Daccord ended a three-game losing streak and improved to 22-18-3 with a 2.68 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 45 appearances this season. The Kraken's next game is Friday versus Utah.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Gives up three goals in loss
Husso allowed three goals on 39 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Utah.
Husso gave up a goal in each period of his Ducks debut, and that was enough to stick him with the loss. The 30-year-old netminder dropped to 1-6-2 on the year over 10 appearances between Anaheim and Detroit, and he's added an ugly 3.62 GAA and .876 save percentage. The Ducks don't have any back-to-back sets over the next week, so Husso is unlikely to draw another start any time soon, with Lukas Dostal set to handle the goaltending duties until John Gibson (lower body) is ready to return.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Holds on late for win
Vejmelka stopped 19 of 21 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.
The Ducks tied the game at 2-2 early in the third period, but Dylan Guenther responded to put Utah ahead. Vejmelka made that goal stand as the game-winner, earning just his second win in five outings in the process (2-1-2). The 28-year-old netminder is now 18-16-6 with a 2.47 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 42 appearances. Vejmelka is likely to handle a starter's workload for two reasons -- one, Utah is battling for a playoff spot, and two, Connor Ingram is in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. Look for Vejmelka to get the nod again in Friday's road game in Seattle.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Loses in shootout
Wolf stopped 28 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Wolf was unable to protect a one-goal lead in the third period, and he also allowed two goals on four attempts in the shootout. The 23-year-old has gone 3-1-3 over his last seven games, and he hasn't allowed more than three goals in any of those contests. For the season, the rookie netminder is at a 22-12-5 record with a 2.53 GAA and a .915 save percentage over 39 starts. The Flames are back in action with a tough home game versus the Avalanche on Friday.
-
Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Holds firm to earn shootout win
Lankinen stopped 20 of 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flames.
Lankinen gave up a pair of goals to Jonathan Huberdeau in the second period, which put the Canucks behind. Elias Pettersson tied the game in the third, and Lankinen held firm, including stopping three of four attempts in the shootout, to secure the win in a game between two teams battling for a playoff spot. The 29-year-old netminder is 3-3-0 after starting six straight games to begin March, and he's allowed three or more goals in four of those contests. For the season, Lankinen sports a 23-12-7 record with a 2.55 GAA and a .904 save percentage through 42 appearances. The Canucks have another back-to-back up next, as they host the Blackhawks on Saturday and Utah on Sunday. It's unclear at this time if Arturs Silovs will be considered to start either of those games.

Petr Mrazek G | ANA
Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Nabs win in debut
Mrazek stopped 23 shots in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Sabres.
The veteran goalie made his first start since being acquired by the Red Wings at the trade deadline and got more than enough offensive support to get him in the win column for the first time in over a month. Mrazek had a rough end to his Chicago tenure, giving up five goals in three of his last four outings, but with Cam Talbot having lost four straight starts and Alex Lyon looking unimpressive of late, the door could be open for Detroit's newest netminder to see a significant workload as the team tries to push its way into a playoff spot.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G | BUF
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Crashes in Detroit
Luukkonen made 22 saves in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Red Wings.
The 26-year-old netminder managed to keep things close until the third period when Detroit broke the game open. Luukkonen wasn't really to blame for the ugly result -- three of the Wings' goals came on power plays, and the Sabres' defense gave him little help on the others. Nonetheless, it was his fifth loss in six March starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to an .855 save percentage and seen his record on the season drop to 21-21-4.
