  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Gives up two goals

Shesterkin stopped 22 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.

Shesterkin and the Rangers have been slumping lately. This was the goaltender's third straight loss, although the previous two came in overtime. Overall, the 29-year-old Russian netminder is 21-22-4 with four shutouts, a 2.87 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 47 starts this season.

  • Dustin Wolf G | CGY

Flames' Dustin Wolf: Expected to face Vancouver

Wolf is set to start at home against Vancouver on Wednesday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

Wolf has a 22-12-4 record, 2.52 GAA and .915 save percentage in 38 outings in 2024-25. He earned a 26-save shutout over Montreal in his last start Saturday. This will be Wolf's second time facing the Canucks this season after he stopped 23 of 24 shots en route to a 3-1 victory over Vancouver on Dec. 31.

  • Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Hangs on for OT win

Jarry turned aside 35 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

He was by far the busier netminder on the night, as Vegas out-shot Pittsburgh 37-17, but Jarry got handed an early 2-0 lead by Sidney Crosby and nearly made it stick, only giving up the tying goal to Noah Hanifin with seven seconds left in regulation. Erik Karlsson then rewarded Jarry for his effort with the winner 49 seconds into OT. The 29-year-old netminder has won back-to-back starts since returning to the NHL roster, allowing three goals on 67 shots. While Pittsburgh's playoff chances were already on life support prior to Jarry's promotion, the team has little to lose but draft lottery odds by giving him a chance to reclaim his starting job and put together a miracle finish to the season.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Takes loss in OT

Samsonov stopped 14 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins.

The 28-year-old goalie wasn't busy at all, and that lack of activity may have cost him in OT -- Samsonov got a clean look at Erik Karlsson's shot from the faceoff circle but whiffed on it as the puck zipped past his glove. He's been working in a timeshare with Adin Hill since late January, but consistent action hasn't led to better results for Samsonov, as he's gone 3-2-2 in seven outings during that span with a 2.87 GAA and .859 save percentage.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Not busy in Tuesday's win

Markstrom made 17 saves in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets.

New Jersey grabbed a 3-0 lead before the end of the first period, putting Columbus in a hole it couldn't climb out of -- Markstrom never faced more than eight shots in any frame. It's the netminder's first win in four starts since returning to the crease from a knee injury, and he hasn't looked particularly sharp in that time, as he's given up 15 goals on 100 shots for a rough .850 save percentage.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Burned in New Jersey

Merzlikins turned aside 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.

New Jersey struck three times in the first period and Columbus was never able to get level, handing Merzlikins his third straight loss. The 30-year-old netminder has given up 12 goals on 102 shots during that skid, and he's allowed five goals on three different occasions since the beginning of February, posting a 3-6-1 record, 3.54 GAA and .894 save percentage across his last 10 outings.

  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Set for debut Wednesday

Mrazek will make his Red Wings debut between the home pipes against the Sabres on Wednesday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Mrazek went 10-19-2 with a 3.46 GAA in his 33 appearances for the Blackhawks this season and will now play his first game for the Red Wings since 2017-18. Selected by the organization in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL Draft, the Czech backstop will have to split the workload with Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon, which means his opportunities to start may be limited the rest of the way.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Re-ups with club

Quick agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.55 million contract extension with the Rangers on Wednesday.

Quick will become the active leader in shutouts (63) and games played when the 2025-26 season kicks off, assuming Marc-Andre Fleury retires after this season as expected. After 16 years as the starter in Los Angeles, the 39-year-old Quick has settled into his role as the No. 2 option in the Big Apple behind Igor Shesterkin and should continue to serve in that capacity next year.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for win No. 20

Swayman stopped 26 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

The 26-year-old goalie appeared headed for another loss as the Bruins' offense sputtered through two periods, but Swayman was able to keep things close until David Pastrnak sparked a comeback with a power-play tally midway through the final frame. Swayman struggled coming out of the 4 Nations Face-Off break, going 0-3-2 in his first five starts, but he seems to have turned the corner with two straight victories, including a shutout of the Bolts on Saturday. Tuesday's win was his 20th of the season, marking the fourth straight campaign in which he's reached that plateau.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Late collapse in Boston

Bobrovsky made 21 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Bruins.

The veteran netminder took a clean sheet into the third period, but the Panthers got sloppy in their own zone late and spoiled not only Bobrovsky's shutout bid, but their seventh straight win. It was Bob's first loss in March, and since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, he's gone 4-2-0 with a dazzling 1.53 GAA and .936 save percentage.
