  • Capitals' Logan Thompson: Guarding goal Tuesday

Thompson will defend the road net against Anaheim on Tuesday, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.

Thompson has won his last two outings while stopping 50 of 56 shots. He has a 27-4-5 record with two shutouts, a 2.31 GAA and a .917 save percentage through 36 appearances this season. Anaheim is tied for 29th in the league with 2.63 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Set to start Tuesday

Kuemper was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease against the Islanders on Tuesday.

Kuemper is coming off a 19-save effort in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over St. Louis. He has posted a 19-8-7 record with two shutouts, a 2.32 GAA and a .912 save percentage through 35 appearances this season. The Islanders have 2.71 goals per game in 2024-25, tying the team for 26th in the league.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Starting first half of back-to-back

Lankinen will tend the home twine Tuesday versus Montreal, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Lankinen will make his fifth straight start as Vancouver is battling for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The 29-year-old has had mixed results over four outings in March, going 2-2-0 with an .884 save percentage and a 2.79 GAA. The Canadiens have lost back-to-back games and were shutout 1-0 in Calgary on Saturday.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Defending crease Tuesday

Swayman will protect the home net against Florida on Tuesday, per Elaine Cavalieri of the Bruins' official site.

Swayman is coming off a 26-save performance in Saturday's 4-0 shutout win over Tampa Bay. He has a 19-21-6 record with four shutouts, a 2.93 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 46 appearances this season. Florida sits eighth in the league with 3.27 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Ducks' John Gibson: Moves past injury

Gibson (lower body) will be available for Tuesday's home matchup against the Capitals, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

Gibson will return to the lineup after missing back-to-back games with his lower-body injury. Lukas Dostal was operating in the starter's crease at Tuesday's morning skate, so Gibson will probably be the No. 2 option against the Caps.

  • Sharks' Alexandar Georgiev: Exits ice first

Georgiev was the first goalie off Tuesday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home versus the Predators.

Georgiev will make his fifth straight start after going 2-2-0 with a 3.71 GAA and an .862 save percentage in his previous four outings. In his 20 games for San Jose this year, the 29-year-old netminder is 4-14-1 with a career-worst 3.88 GAA. There aren't any back-to-backs on the Sharks' upcoming schedule, so Georgiev figures to continue to see plenty of starts.

  • Senators' Leevi Merilainen: Brought up from minors

Merilainen was summoned from AHL Belleville on Tuesday, per Steve Lloyd of TSN 1200 Ottawa.

Prior to being recalled, Merilainen had been in the minors since Feb. 2. The Finnish netminder has been efficient over 12 appearances with the big club this season, registering an 8-3-1 record, .925 save percentage and 1.99 GAA. Anton Forsberg will start Tuesday against the Flyers, though his 8-10-1 record, .895 save percentage and 2.82 GAA could open the door for Merilainen to earn a role in the crease behind Linus Ullmark going forward.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Tagged with shootout loss

Vejmelka stopped 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs.

Vejmelka was beaten twice in the first period and once more in the second, though two of those goals came when the Maple Leafs had the man advantage. The 28-year-old settled down afterward, but he ended up being tagged with an OT loss for the second game in a row. Vejmelka has started seven games in a row for Utah, going 4-1-2 with a 2.11 GAA and a .914 save percentage over that stretch.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Earns win following shootout

Woll stopped 29 of 32 shots in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over Utah.

Woll was beaten three times over a 3:56 stretch in the second period, but he stopped two shots in the shootout, and that was enough to secure the win. Toronto has been alternating goalies in recent weeks, and Woll has started in five of the team's last 10 games. He's gone 3-2-0 with a 3.49 GAA and an .880 save percentage over that stretch.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Posts 20-save shutout

Wedgewood stopped all 20 shots he faced in Monday's 3-0 win over the Blackhawks.

Wedgewood recorded his second shutout of the season, and the 32-year-old veteran has now won each of his last two starts. Given that this game was the first leg of a back-to-back set, Mackenzie Blackwood will likely start in Minnesota on Tuesday, meaning Wedgewood could return to action against Calgary on Friday. Wedgewood, who was traded from Nashville to Colorado in late November, has gone 7-4-0 in his 12 appearances with Colorado this season, posting a 2.03 GAA and a .922 save percentage over that span.
