Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Facing Jets
Markstrom will guard the home goal versus the Jets on Friday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Markstrom has lost his last two outings since returning from a knee injury. He's given up six goals on 45 shots combined (.867 save percentage) in those two games, and it doesn't get any easier with the Jets in town, though they are on the second half of a back-to-back while the Devils haven't played since Tuesday.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Sent down briefly Friday
Silovs was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Friday for the purposes of retaining AHL playoff eligibility.
He is back on the NHL roster, per the NHL media site. Silovs has been serving as the Canucks' backup netminder while Thatcher Demko (lower body) is out. Silovs will likely continue that role Friday versus the Wild, as Kevin Lankinen is set to start.

John Gibson G | DET
Ducks' John Gibson: Considered day-to-day
The Ducks announced Friday that Gibson (lower body) is considered day-to-day.
Gibson suffered his lower-body injury Wednesday against the Canucks, and he'll be unavailable for Friday's home game against the Blues. Lukas Dostal will operate as the starter against St. Louis, while Ville Husso will be available as the backup. Gibson's next opportunity to suit up will be Sunday against the Islanders.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Expected starter for Saturday
Dobes was recalled from AHL Laval on Friday and will start in Saturday's road clash against Calgary, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Dobes was only briefly in the minors to keep him eligible for AHL service for the rest of the season. He has a 6-2-1 record, 2.63 GAA and .909 save percentage in 10 appearances with Montreal in 2024-25. The Flames rank 32nd in goals per game with 2.58.

Ville Husso G | ANA
Ducks' Ville Husso: Called up from minors
Husso was elevated from AHL San Diego on Friday.
Husso's promotion likely means that John Gibson (lower body) won't be available against the Blues on Friday. It will be a backup assignment for Husso, as Lukas Dostal will be between the pipes for this home clash. With the 23-man roster limit lifted, the Ducks could decide to keep Husso up with the NHL club the rest of the way.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Paper move to AHL
Dobes was sent to AHL Laval on Friday, but the Canadiens clarified that it's a paper transaction.
Dobes should be back with Montreal soon, but this move keeps him eligible to be sent to AHL Laval for the rest of the season. He has a 6-2-1 record, 2.63 GAA and .909 save percentage in 10 appearances with the Canadiens in 2024-25.

Ilya Samsonov G | LV
Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Starting against Pittsburgh
Samsonov will serve as the starting netminder for Friday's home game against the Penguins, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Samsonov didn't appear in either of the Golden Knights' last two games, but he'll return to the net Friday and will attempt to bounce back after he went 1-1-0 with a 5.02 GAA and a .756 save percentage over his last two starts. The Penguins have a middling offense, as they're tied for 17th in the NHL with 2.86 goals per game this season.
-
Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Between pipes Friday
Lankinen will guard the home net versus Minnesota on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Lankinen is having a career year with the Canucks this season. He is 21-10-7 with four shutouts, a 2.56 GAA and a .904 save percentage. The Wild have had trouble finding the back of the net in 2024-25, generating 2.82 goals per game, tied for 22nd in the NHL.

Petr Mrazek G | ANA
Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Heading to Detroit
Mrazek and Craig Smith were traded to Detroit from Chicago on Friday in exchange for Joe Veleno.
Mrazek hasn't been particularly sharp in recent weeks, as he's gone 3-5-1 with a 3.98 GAA and an .885 save percentage over 10 appearances since the start of the calendar year. The Blackhawks recently added another goaltender by acquiring Spencer Knight as part of the trade that sent Seth Jones to Florida, and Mrazek will have a chance for a fresh start while returning to the team that drafted him in 2010. Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon have been relatively solid for the Red Wings this season, so Mrazek may not have an opportunity to carve out significant playing time unless the team makes another move ahead of Friday's trade deadline.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Slated to start Friday
Dostal is expected to defend the home crease versus St. Louis on Friday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Dostal has won his last two starts, but he was saddled with the loss in Vancouver on Wednesday, stopping 14 of 15 shots after replacing the injured John Gibson (lower body). Dostal is 18-15-5 with a 2.87 GAA and a .911 save percentage. The Blues are generating 2.84 goals per game, 21st in the NHL.
