  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Gives up five goals in OT loss

Ersson stopped 20 of 25 shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins.

Ersson was on a three-game winning streak heading into Thursday's matchup, but his hot stretch came to an end against Pittsburgh. His .800 save percentage was his lowest since a 5-0 loss to the Devils on Jan. 29. Despite the OT loss in this one, Ersson went 3-1-2 with a 2.66 GAA and a .908 save percentage across six starts in February.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Gets starting nod for Saturday

Bobrovsky will patrol the home crease versus Calgary on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

Bobrovsky will make his third start in four games since the NHL returned from the 4 Nations Face-Off break. Bobrovsky is 24-13-2 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.66 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 39 appearances this season. The Flames are generating 2.60 goals per game, 29th in the NHL this season.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Set to start in Buffalo

Dobes will serve as the starting goaltender for Saturday's road game against Buffalo.

Dobes hasn't been particularly sharp in recent outings, going 0-2-1 with a 4.48 GAA and .868 save percentage over his last four appearances. He'll make his first start since the 4 Nations Face-Off break against a somewhat formidable opponent, as the Sabres are tied for 11th in the NHL with 3.19 goals per game.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: First goalie off

Stolarz was the first goalie off during Friday's morning skate, Mark Masters of TSN reports, indicating that he'll start on the road against the Rangers.

Stolarz was working in the starter's crease during Friday's morning skate and will officially draw a second consecutive start since Joseph Woll is feeling under the weather. Over his last three starts, Stolarz has gone 3-0-0 with a 2.62 GAA and .918 save percentage. The Rangers are averaging 3.03 goals per game this year, which is tied for 13th in the NHL.

  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Dealing with illness

Woll is feeling under the weather ahead of Friday's road game against the Rangers, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Anthony Stolarz will likely get a second consecutive start Friday after he was in the starter's crease during morning skate, and the Maple Leafs revealed after morning skate that Woll is dealing with an illness. It's unclear whether Woll will be able to dress as the backup in Friday's matchup.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Cruises to win Thursday

Kochetkov turned aside 13 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

The Hurricanes out-shot the visitors 37-15 on the night and held a 3-0 lead before Alex Tuch managed to get a puck past Kochetkov on a Sabres power play late in the first period. The 25-year-old netminder has been alternating wins and losses of late, and since Frederik Andersen returned from IR in late January to re-establish a timeshare in the Carolina crease, Kochetkov has gone 4-2-1 with a 2.58 GAA and .897 save percentage.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Facing Kings

Oettinger will defend the home net versus Los Angeles on Friday, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.

Oettinger was shaky in his last start, allowing five goals on 28 shots in a 6-4 loss in Columbus. Oettinger is having a strong campaign in 2024-25, going 27-13-2 with a 2.43 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 42 appearances. The Kings are generating 2.89 goals per game, 17th in the NHL this season.

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Sabres' James Reimer: Takes loss in relief Thursday

Reimer stopped 27 of 29 shots after replacing Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen midway through the first period of Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Reimer ended up getting saddled with the loss, as the first goal he gave up -- a Mikko Rantanen power-play tally that came less than two minutes after he took over the Buffalo crease -- proved to be the game-winner. Reimer hasn't allowed more than three goals in an outing since Dec. 9, and over his last seven appearances he's posted a sharp 2.30 GAA and .921 save percentage but has just a 1-4-0 record to show for it.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Gets early hook in Carolina

Luukkonen allowed two goals on seven shots before being replaced by James Reimer less than eight minutes into the first period of Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

Neither goal was Luukkonen's fault, as both came after defensive-zone giveaways by the Sabres, and head coach Lindy Ruff's attempt to wake up his team by making a switch in the crease didn't pay off. The loss ended up on Reimer's ledger, as he allowed the eventual game-winner. Over his last nine outings, Luukkonen has generally benefitted from better play by Buffalo's skaters, going 6-2-0 despite a 2.97 GAA and .888 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Nabs win over Oilers

Bobrovsky made 24 saves in Thursday's 4-3 win over Edmonton.

The veteran netminder gave up a goal in each period, but Florida gave him just enough offensive support. Bobrovsky has given up three goals or fewer in seven of his last eight starts, going 6-2-0 during that stretch with a dazzling 1.90 GAA and .928 save percentage.
