Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G | BUF
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Cruises to win Saturday
Luukkonen made 26 saves in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.
The Sabres chased Igor Shesterkin from the game with a five-goal first period, and while Luukkonen's shutout bid ended early in the second on a Chris Kreider power-play tally, his win was never in jeopardy. The 25-year-old netminder has won four of his last five starts, and since the beginning of January, he's gone 8-4-1 with a 3.08 GAA and an .890 save percentage.

Jonathan Quick G | NYR
Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Needed in relief Saturday
Quick stopped 14 of 17 shots after replacing Igor Shesterkin late in the first period of Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
The Rangers sleepwalked through the first frame, forcing coach Peter Laviolette to make a change between the pipes -- Shesterkin faced almost any many shots (16) in his 18-plus minutes of ice time as Quick did in 41:39. The veteran backup was expected to get the start Sunday in Pittsburgh, but given his workload in the first game after the 4 Nations Face-Off, New York might turn back to Shesterkin again and give him a chance to quickly shake off the terrible outing. If Quick is in the crease, his recent play hasn't been encouraging, and he has a 3.70 GAA and an .883 save percentage in seven appearances since the calendar flipped to 2025.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Gets hook in return to action
Shesterkin gave up five goals on 16 shots before being replaced by Jonathan Quick late in the first period of Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Sabres.
While Shesterkin didn't do himself any favors by passing up a of couple opportunities to freeze pucks, only for Buffalo to score immediately afterward, for the most part, his awful line was the result of truly terrible play by his defense. Shesterkin had missed the Rangers' last game before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off due to an upper-body injury, but he at least looked healthy in his return. With Quick needed for heavy relief work Saturday, it's not clear which netminder will be between the pipes for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Returns from break with win
Dostal stopped nine out of 10 shots he saw in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win against the Bruins.
Dostal entered the game in relief of John Gibson, who sustained an upper-body injury. The 24-year-old goaltender has a 16-13-4 record with a 2.86 GAA and a .911 save percentage. Saturday's victory extended Dostal's personal winning streak to five games, and he's allowed just nine goals in that span. While Dostal has been splitting games with Gibson, he already surpassed his career high in wins before the 4 Nations Face-Off break and will continue to add to his career year. He is likely to start Sunday against the Red Wings with Gibson potentially sidelined.

Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stops 26 shots
Swayman saved 26 of the 29 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.
Outside the final three minutes of the first period, Swayman kept Boston's net tidy until Leo Carlsson's game-winner in the extra period. The 26-year-old netminder holds an 18-18-5 record with a 2.98 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Swayman traveled with Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off but did not make an appearance in net. Boston should challenge for a playoff spot in the Atlantic, meaning Swayman will continue to see plenty of reps moving forward. His next opportunity to guard the crease is on home ice Tuesday against the Maple Leafs.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Starting vs. Sharks
Wolf will get the home start Sunday against San Jose, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Wolf will get the nod in Calgary's first game back from the 4 Nations Face-Off break. The 23-year-old netminder is 19-11-3 on the season with a strong .912 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA.
-
Charlie Lindgren G | WAS
Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Starting Sunday
Lindgren will guard the road crease Sunday against the Oilers, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
Lindgren will get the nod Sunday in the second leg of a back-to-back after Logan Thompson started Saturday's win over the Penguins. The 31-year-old Lindgren is 12-9-3 with a .900 save percentage and a 2.63 GAA this season.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Set to start Sunday
Sorokin will patrol the home crease against Dallas on Sunday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Following a seven-game winning streak, Sorokin has allowed nine goals on 59 shots in his two-game losing skid. He has a 20-16-4 record with three shutouts, a 2.69 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 40 appearances this season. Dallas ranks fifth in the league with 3.29 goals per game in 2024-25 and earned a 4-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday.

Nikita Tolopilo G | VAN
Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Sent down Saturday
Tolopilo was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Tolopilo was up as a practice player with the Canucks as players returned to the team from the 4 Nations Face-Off. Kevin Lankinen and Arturs Silovs will man the crease for Vancouver while Thatcher Demko (lower body) is out, allowing Tolopilo to see playing time with Abbotsford.

Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Outplayed in low-scoring game
Lankinen stopped 32 of 34 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Golden Knights. The third goal was an empty-netter.
Lankinen was good, but Adin Hill was a little better as the Golden Knights rallied from a 1-0 deficit. The 29-year-old Lankinen looks to be the Canucks' No. 1 for a while -- Thatcher Demko (lower body) is week-to-week and isn't on the Canucks' five-game road trip. Lankinen is 3-1-1 with nine goals allowed over his last five outings, and he's at a 19-9-7 record with a 2.52 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 35 contests this season. Demko's injury history is concerning enough that the Canucks signed Lankinen to a five-year extension Friday, making it likely that Lankinen will be at least a "1B' option for the next few years. That has value in all fantasy formats, where he's no worse than a No. 3 goalie for virtual squads and will often elevate to No. 2 status when he's seeing significant playing time.
