Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Earns overtime win
Hellebuyck stopped 25 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Avalanche.
Hellebuyck allowed the tying goal to Cale Makar in the third period, but Neal Pionk replied with the game-winner 17 seconds into overtime. This was Hellebuyck's fifth win in his last six starts, and he's allowed two or fewer goals in all of the victories in that span. He's now 29-7-2 with a 2.02 GAA and a .927 save percentage over 38 starts. The 31-year-old netminder has a good chance of challenging his career high of 44 wins from the 2017-18 campaign.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Will miss time
Markstrom (lower body) is feeling better after sustaining an injury Wednesday versus the Bruins, but he will miss time, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
Markstrom doesn't have a specific timeline for his recovery. Expect Jake Allen to take over the starting role in the short term, while the Devils will make a move to call up a goalie -- likely Nico Daws or Isaac Poulter -- to fill the backup role.

Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Departs Wednesday's contest
Markstrom (lower body) limped off the ice after a collision with Justin Brazeau in the second period of Wednesday's game against the Bruins, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
Markstrom stopped six of seven shots prior to his injury. The 34-year-old was replaced by Jake Allen between the pipes, and it would likely be Allen to take on a starting role should Markstrom miss additional time. The Devils' next game is Saturday in Montreal.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Tending twine versus Avalanche
Hellebuyck will protect the road goal versus the Avalanche on Wednesday, Murat Ares of The Athletic reports.
Hellebuyck saw his four-game winning streak end when he allowed four goals on 27 shots to Utah on Monday in a 5-2 loss. The 31-year-old will look to get back on track against the Avalanche, a team he shut out Jan. 11 with a 22-save performance, which was his league-leading sixth shutout of the campaign.

Aleksei Kolosov G | PHI
Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Sent to AHL
Kolosov was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
The Flyers elected to carry three goaltenders for several weeks while Kolosov was on the roster, but the 23-year-old hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 2. He hasn't been particularly sharp over 15 appearances with Philadelphia this year, posting a 4-8-1 record, 3.45 GAA and .870 save percentage. Kolosov should have more consistent opportunities to play while he's in the minors.

Spencer Knight G | CHI
Panthers' Spencer Knight: Expected starter Wednesday
Knight is slated to start on the road against the Kings on Wednesday, per George Richards of Florida Hockey Now.
Knight earned a 34-save shutout over Anaheim in his last start Saturday. He has a 9-6-1 record, 2.45 GAA and .905 save percentage in 18 appearances in 2024-25. Los Angeles ranks 20th in the league in goals per game with 2.93.

Charlie Lindgren G | WAS
Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Guarding cage against Kraken
Lindgren will patrol the crease on the road versus Seattle on Thursday, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Lindgren will make his first appearance in the crease since Jan. 10 against the Habs when he suffered an upper-body injury. The netminder is currently stuck in a four-game losing streak during which he posted a 3.16 GAA. Barring any setbacks, Lindgren could work his way into a split share, something the duo managed well for most of the season.

Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Expected to face Florida
Kuemper is slated to start in Wednesday's home tilt versus Florida, per Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider.
Kuemper should be fresh after spending Monday's 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh on the bench. He has a 13-4-5 record, 2.10 GAA and .920 save percentage in 23 outings in 2024-25. The Panthers rank ninth in goals per game with 3.21.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Heads to minors
Silovs was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday.
Silovs was up with the Canucks under emergency conditions because Kevin Lankinen was unavailable Tuesday due to an illness. Silovs' demotion might indicate that Lankinen is expected to be fine for Thursday's tilt against Edmonton, but the Canucks do have the option of bringing back Silovs if Lankinen ultimately isn't ready to return.

MacKenzie Blackwood G | COL
Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Slated to start Wednesday
Blackwood is expected to get the starting nod at home versus Winnipeg on Wednesday, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports.
Blackwood has featured in 14 of the Avs' last 17 contests, posting a 9-4-1 record to go with an impressive 1.97 GAA. Given his heavy workload thus far, the 28-year-old netminder should be expected to be in the crease more often than not -- though an upcoming back-to-back versus the Bruins and Rangers on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, should give Blackwood a night off in favor of Scott Wedgewood.
