Oettinger allowed one goal on 34 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.

Oettinger's lone mistake was a puck that knuckled in after a low tip by Marco Kasper on Simon Edvinsson's shot attempt in the third period. The 26-year-old Oettinger has won seven of his last eight starts, and he's allowed exactly one goal in four of those games. He's up to 23-10-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 34 starts this season. The American netminder is likely to get the starting nod again Tuesday in a tough home matchup versus the Hurricanes.

Quick allowed five goals on 38 shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

Quick let four different one-goal leads slip away, only for the Canadiens to take the win on a Patrik Laine tally at 3:20 of the extra session. Over his last six outings, Quick is 1-2-2 while allowing at least five goals in four of those games. The 38-year-old netminder is 6-5-2 on the year with a 3.11 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 16 appearances. With no back-to-backs over the next week, it wouldn't be surprising for the Rangers to let Igor Shesterkin handle a heavy workload in the near future.

Dobes stopped 23 of 27 shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers.

Dobes struggled for the first time at the NHL level but still came away with a fifth straight win to start his career. His four goals allowed Sunday matched the total the 23-year-old had given up over his first four outings combined. The Rangers were unable to hold any of their one-goal leads, and Patrik Laine finished off the game with the overtime winner. Dobes has posted a 1.55 GAA and a .940 save percentage at the NHL level so far. Those numbers are bound to regress as he gets more playing time, but he should have no trouble maintaining the backup role for the Canadiens, and he's played well enough to afford Sam Montembeault a bit more rest.

Markstrom made 18 saves on 20 shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Ottawa.

Markstrom was beaten twice at even strength on goals by Zack Ostapchuk and Artem Zub in Sunday's defeat. The 34-year-old Markstrom has lost three consecutive contests, and although he's 2-2-3 through seven appearances in January, he's posted a serviceable .912 save percentage and 2.38 GAA in that span. For the season, the 6-foot-6 goaltender holds a 21-9-5 record, .912 save percentage and 2.20 GAA through 35 outings. His next chance to return to the win column will be in a home matchup against the Bruins on Wednesday.

Oettinger will protect the home crease Sunday against Detroit, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.

Oettinger lost for the first time in the new calendar year Thursday against Montreal. The 26-year-old has a 5-1-0 record with a .923 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA through six appearances in January. Detroit sits 21st in the NHL with 2.87 goals per game. Both clubs are on the second half of a back-to-back.

Dobes will be between the home pipes versus the Rangers on Sunday, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday.

Dobes has been excellent through the first four starts of his NHL career, posting a perfect 4-0-0 record, .963 save percentage and 0.98 GAA. He made 32 saves in a 3-1 road victory over Dallas on Thursday. The Rangers have played well lately, going 5-0-2 in their last seven contests.

Forsberg turned aside 25 of 26 shots in Sunday's 2-1 win over New Jersey.

Forsberg was excellent Sunday in a tightly contested road victory, allowing fewer than three goals in a game for just the third time this season. This was his first win since Nov. 25, but he missed most of December with a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old has conceded 12 goals on 105 shots through four appearances in January, turning in a 1-2-1 record in that span. Overall, Forsberg is 5-8-1 with an .888 save percentage and a 2.95 GAA through 15 starts in 2024-25.

Quick will guard the road goal against Montreal on Sunday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.

Quick will get the second half of the Rangers' back-to-back after Igor Shesterkin played in Saturday's 1-0 shootout win over Columbus. The 38-year-old Quick has a 6-5-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 15 appearances this season. Montreal ranks 15th in the league with 3.00 goals per game in 2024-25 and lost 7-3 to Toronto on Saturday.

Luukkonen (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Monday's road game against Seattle, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Luukkonen participated in Sunday's practice but has some nagging injury issues. Devon Levi could face the Kraken after being recalled from the AHL on Saturday, while James Reimer occupies the backup role. However, Luukkonen believes he could start Tuesday's road matchup versus Vancouver. He has a 14-14-4 record with a 3.02 GAA and an .896 save percentage through 33 appearances this season.

Gustavsson (illness) is expected to return to the lineup in Monday's road game versus Colorado, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports.

Due to Gustavsson's absence, Dylan Ferguson was Marc-Andre Fleury's backup in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Nashville. Ferguson returned to AHL Iowa on Sunday. Gustavsson was going to start Monday's matchup initially, but it's unclear if his illness changed those plans. He has posted a record of 18-9-3 with a 2.58 GAA and a .914 save percentage across 31 appearances this season.
