    Portillo was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Saturday.

    Portillo was the backup for two games during his emergency recall, as David Rittich picked up both starts. The Kings recalled Pheonix Copley in a corresponding move Saturday.

    Andrae (undisclosed) will not play Saturday versus Chicago, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphiareports.

    Andrae will sit out his third straight game. He has three assists, 15 hits and 13 blocked shots in 10 appearances this season. Andrea was a full participant at Friday's practice, so a return to action Monday versus Vegas could be in the cards.

  • Flyers' Anthony Richard: Returned to AHL

    Richard was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

    Richard was productive in his first stint with the Flyers, netting a pair of goals and six points in seven games. However, with Cam York returning from an upper-body injury, the 27-year-old Richard will head back to the AHL.

    Flyers' Cam York: Returns to action Saturday

    York (upper body) was activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup versus Chicago on Saturday, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

    York sat out 13 games after being injured versus the Capitals on Oct. 24. He has two goals and an assist in seven games this season after breaking out in 2023-24 with 10 goals and 20 helpers in 82 regular-season contests. York will replace Egor Zamula in Saturday's lineup.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Skates ahead of practice

    Matthews (upper body) skated before Saturday's practice, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

    Matthews had not been seen skating since Nov. 10, making this an encouraging development. He left before Saturday's practice started, which probably means he won't play in Sunday's tilt against Utah. Still, Matthews could suit up in Wednesday's matchup versus Florida. He has missed the last seven games. Matthews has five goals and 11 points in 13 contests this campaign.

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Back at practice Saturday

    Ekman-Larsson (illness) returned to practice Saturday, per Mark Masters of TSN.

    Ekman-Larsson missed Friday's practice due to an illness but should be available for Sunday's matchup against Utah. The veteran blueliner has one goal, eight points and a plus-2 rating through 20 games this season.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: First off Saturday

    Ullmark was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports, indicating he will guard the home net Saturday against the Canucks

    Ullmark will look to snap his three-game winless skid -- he's struggled to an .841 save percentage in that span, allowing 13 goals on 82 shots. Overall, the 31-year-old netminder is 4-6-1 with an .887 save percentage and 3.00 GAA through his first 12 games with Ottawa.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: First off ice Saturday

    Lindgren is slated to guard the home goal versus New Jersey on Saturday after being the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Devils play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin reports.

    Lindgren has won his last two starts, allowing four goals on only 45 shots in victories over Colorado and Utah. Lindgren is 5-4-0 with a 2.59 GAA and a .900 save percentage in 2024-25. The Devils rank eighth in the league with 3.45 goals per game.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Between pipes Saturday

    Montembeault will defend the home crease versus Vegas on Saturday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

    Montembeault is coming off a 30-save shutout over the Oilers on Monday. He is 6-8-1 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.85 GAA and a .906 save percentage in the 2024-25 campaign. Vegas is first in the Pacific Division with a 12-6-2 record.

    Vasilevskiy was the first goaltender off the ice at the morning skate, indicating he will get the home start versus Dallas on Saturday, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.

    Vasilevskiy will vie for his fourth straight win and continue his recent dominance. The Russian netminder has allowed only four goals in his last four games while stopping 99 shots. Vasilevskiy is 9-5-1 with a 2.13 GAA and a .919 save percentage this season. The Stars sit third in the Central Division with a 12-6-0 record.
