  • Flyers' Denver Barkey: Activated by Philadelphia

Barkey (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.

Barkey spent nearly a week on injured reserve to begin the regular season due to a lower-body injury he sustained during a preseason matchup. However, he'll make his regular-season debut Monday against the Lightning and is expected to be used as a winger during his first game back. Across 43 regular-season appearances with the Flyers last year, he recorded five goals, 12 assists, 43 hits, 19 blocked shots and 16 PIM while averaging 13:24 of ice time.

  • Danila Yurov RW | MIN

Wild's Danila Yurov: Dealing with injury

Yurov (upper body) may not be available for Tuesday's matchup against Buffalo, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Yurov left Monday's practice early as a precaution after getting banged up in Saturday's 4-1 win over Boston. He has one assist, two shots on net, three hits and one blocked shot in two appearances this campaign. If Yurov can't play against the Sabres on Tuesday, Ryan Hartman is poised to move up to the top line between Kirill Kaprizov and Max Shabanov.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Game-time decision

Ristolainen (undisclosed) will be a game-time call against Tampa Bay on Monday, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Ristolainen will participate in the team's optional morning skate to see if he can play against the Lightning. He has registered one goal, four shots on net, seven blocked shots and four hits in three appearances this season. Ristolainen suffered the injury in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Carolina.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: In goal Monday

Vladar will get the starting nod on the road against the Lightning on Monday.

Vladar has watched from the bench for the Flyers' last two contests after having given up seven goals on 38 shots (.816 save percentage) in the season opener against the Penguins. While he should remain the No. 1 option in Philly, Vladar likely can't afford to struggle again Monday, as Joseph Woll is primed to challenge for more opportunities.

  • Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Ready to rock

Poitras (lower body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup against Ottawa on Monday, Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now reports.

Poitras sat out the first three games of the 2026-27 campaign after getting hurt during training camp. He had one goal, eight shots on net and two blocked shots in three regular-season appearances for Boston in 2025-26. Poitras is poised to replace Sean Kuraly on the fourth line in Monday's matchup against the Senators.

  • Senators' Andre Burakovsky: Shifts to IR

Burakovsky (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.

In a corresponding move, Ottawa recalled blueliner Jorian Donovan from AHL Belleville on Monday. Burakovsky will miss his second straight game when the Senators visit Boston on Monday. He is eligible to be activated whenever he is healthy, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return.

  • Penguins' Sergei Murashov: First goalie off Monday

Murashov was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Josh Getzoff of SportsNet Pittsburgh reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Jets.

Murashov didn't appear in either of the Penguins' first two games of the regular season. While Pittsburgh has opened the season with back-to-back wins, Murashov will get his first opportunity to man the crease after Arturs Silovs allowed five goals on 25 shots during Saturday's overtime win over Montreal. Murashov made five regular-season appearances for the Penguins last year and went 1-1-2 with a 2.56 GAA and .897 save percentage.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting against Ottawa

Swayman will start Monday's home game against the Senators, Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now reports.

Swayman picked up wins in each of his first two starts of the season, posting a 1.48 GAA and .947 save percentage during that time. After sitting out the second half of a back-to-back set Saturday in Minnesota, the 27-year-old will return to the crease as the Bruins return home Monday.

  • Alex Ovechkin LW | WAS

Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Heading into final year

Ovechkin announced that 2026-27 will be his last NHL season Monday.

Ovechkin will go down as the greatest goalscorer in NHL history, having racked up 929 goals in his career -- a total he will likely continue to add to over the next 82 games of the 2026-27 campaign. The world-class winger figures to get plenty of accolades from opponents throughout the year as he takes one final lap around the league.

  • Lightning's Emil Lilleberg: Expected to miss about a week

Lilleberg (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Flyers and is expected to miss approximately one week, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lilleberg suffered an undisclosed injury early in the third period of Saturday's game against the Capitals, and he'll be forced to miss some time. Max Crozier, Jansen Harkins and Scott Sabourin are candidates to see increased playing time in Lilleberg's absence.
