  • Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Avoids injury despite early exit

Markstrom tightened up in Monday's 5-3 loss to Buffalo, but he didn't sustain an injury, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Before leaving the game after the first period, Markstrom made nine saves on 11 shots in Monday's matchup. Akira Schmid surrendered three goals on 21 shots to take the loss in relief. The Panthers will see how Markstrom feels ahead of Tuesday's road game against Columbus.

  • Owen Power D | BUF

    Sabres' Owen Power: Two-assist showing

Power recorded two assists and a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Power set up Ryan McLeod's and Tage Thompson's goals while logging a team-high 26:31 of ice time, in part due to Rasmus Dahlin's upper-body injury. Power is up to six assists on the season and should remain on Buffalo's top power-play unit heading into Tuesday's matchup with Montreal.

  • Jack Quinn RW | BUF

    Sabres' Jack Quinn: Multi-point effort

Quinn picked up two assists in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Quinn set up both Rasmus Dahlin's (upper body) and Noah Ostlund's power-play goals, pushing his season point total to four. He logged over four and a half minutes on the power play in the win, but only recorded a single shot on goal.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Two helpers in win

Krebs recorded two assists in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.

Krebs set up Josh Doan's opening goal in the first period and Tage Thompson's third-period tally, giving him four assists on the season. He also won four of six faceoffs in a depth-center role.

  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Won't play Tuesday

Dahlin (upper body) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Montreal, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Dahlin suffered an upper-body injury during Monday's matchup against the Panthers, and he won't travel with the Sabres ahead of the second half of the back-to-back set. Head coach Lindy Ruff said that Dahlin is considered day-to-day, so the 26-year-old's next opportunity to return will be Thursday in Toronto, though it's not yet clear whether he'll be deemed healthy enough to suit up.

  • Sabres' Tage Thompson: Goal, assist in win

Thompson scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Thompson helped set up Rasmus Dahlin's (upper body) first-period power-play goal before capping the scoring himself with an even-strength tally in the third. He's up to four goals and three assists for seven points on the season, and he continues to see heavy power-play usage.

  • Josh Doan RW | BUF

Sabres' Josh Doan: Opens scoring in win

Doan scored his first goal of the season in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.

Doan opened the scoring just under six minutes into the first period, assisted by Peyton Krebs. He finished with three shots on net, a plus-2 rating and over two and a half minutes of power-play time. The 24-year-old forward's goal was his first point of the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Noah Ostlund C | BUF

Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Nets go-ahead power-play goal

Ostlund scored a power-play goal in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Ostlund's third-period strike, assisted by Zach Benson and Jack Quinn, put the Sabres ahead for good at 4-3. It was his second goal of the season, and he saw over four minutes of power-play time in the win.

  • Flyers' Carl Grundstrom: Sent down by Philadelphia

Grundstrom was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Grundstrom appeared in five of the Flyers' first seven games of the season and was held scoreless with 14 hits and four blocked shots while averaging 11:20 of ice time. He should have plenty of opportunities to see playing time in the minors and will be a candidate to be called back up if the Flyers need additional depth at some point.

  • Ryan McLeod C | BUF

Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Scores in victory

McLeod scored his first goal of the season on two shots in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.

McLeod's second-period goal, assisted by Olen Zellweger and Owen Power, put Buffalo ahead 3-2. He finished the night with a plus-1 rating and seven of 16 draws won, in addition to finding the back of the net for the first time this year.
