Connor Bedard C | CHI
Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Two-point effort Saturday
Bedard produced an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Bruins.
His third-period tally gave Chicago a 4-2 lead with under eight minutes left in the game, but the visitors couldn't seal the deal. Bedard has gotten onto the scoresheet in five straight games, and in eight contests since making his belated season debut he's racked up four goals and nine points, including a goal and three assists with the man advantage.

Jackson Smith D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jackson Smith: Trio of assists Saturday
Smith logged three assists in Penn State's 4-3 loss to the University of Minnesota on Saturday.
Smith is up to two goals and eight helpers through eight contests this season. The Blue Jackets prospect appears to have taken a step forward on offense. He has a decent scoring touch from the blue line and should see plenty of playing time as a key part of Penn State's roster.

Nicklaus Perbix D | NSH
Predators' Nick Perbix: Gets first two assists of season
Perbix had two assists Saturday in a 5-4 shootout win over Tampa Bay.
The points were the defender's first this season. Perbix is the kind of defender who goes unnoticed most nights, unless there's a missed play in the defensive zone. He has 23 blocks, three hits and just eight shots in 13 contests.

Steven Stamkos C | NSH
Predators' Steven Stamkos: Strong start to season continues
Stamkos scored a regulation goal and got the winner in the shootout in a 5-4 victory against Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Stammer was as clutch as ever -- his goal tied the game on the power play in the third period to force the extra frame. He tied Phil Esposito for sixth on the NHL's all-time power-play goals list (246). Stamkos has had a strong start to 2026-27. He has eight goals, eight assists, nine power-play points (four goals, five assists) and 33 shots in 14 games. That's impressive for a 36-year-old veteran with 1,260 regular season and another 128 playoff games on his odometer.

Logan Hensler D | OTT
Senators' Logan Hensler: Adds three points in Wisconsin win
Hensler scored a goal and added two assists in the University of Wisconsin's 9-1 win over the University of Notre Dame on Saturday.
Hensler doubled up his point total for the season in this blowout win. He has two goals and four helpers across six games to start his junior year. The 20-year-old defenseman is a Senators prospect, selected 23rd overall in 2025. He produced 24 points over 55 contests across his first two years in college.

Anton Frondell C | CHI
Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Lights lamp twice in OT loss
Frondell scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Bruins.
The 19-year-old center peppered Michael DiPietro with nine shots on goal, and two of them found the back of the net. Frondell had just one goal and six points through the first 13 games of the season, and had been held off the scoresheet entirely in the prior six contests, but growing pains are to be expected in his first full NHL season. Frondell's first-period tally, a blistering one-timer from the faceoff dot, was his first career power-play goal.

Janis Moser D | TB
Lightning's J.J. Moser: Five block effort
Moser blocked five shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Predators. He also had two shots and two hits.
The defender is still waiting on his first point this season, but he does have 23 blocks, six hits, 15 shots and a plus-3 rating in 13 games. Still, it's a long way from his seven goals, 22 assists, 91 blocks, 61 hits and plus-41rating from last year. With this profile, Moser fits the classic better on the ice than in the fantasy arena profile.
-
Conor Geekie C | TB
Lightning's Conor Geekie: Goal in three consecutive games
Geekie scored a goal in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville.
Geekie is on a sweet goal run -- he has one in each of his last three games on six shots overall. Is this the start of his breakout? We're not entirely sold, but big men always seem to take more time to spin up their games. And he's still on the fourth line. Geekie may help in daily formats right now and is a hold in dynasty formats, at least for now. He has just four goals in 13 games this season.
-
Victor Hedman D | TB
Lightning's Victor Hedman: Goal for aging veteran
Hedman scored a goal Saturday in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Predators.
Hedman has three goals, two assists, 16 blocks and 15 shots this season while averaging 14:13. His game has ease toward its twilight, but that's not really a surprise for a 6-foot-7 defender with 1,176 regular season and another 170 playoff games on his odometer.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Third-straight game with four-plus allowed
Vasilevskiy made 29 saves in a 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville on Saturday.
Vasilevskiy is the cream of the NHL goaltending crop, but he's on a bit of a slide. He has allowed 13 goals in his last three games and never fewer than four in any of the contests. This is the first time since opening night that Vasilevskiy has allowed that many snipes in a contest. He's 6-3-1 overall, but both his 3.00 GAA and .877 save percentage are below the NHL average this season (2.96, .891). And his high-danger goals against is below the 50th percentile according to NHL Edge Stats. Don't stress yet -- his current drop is directly tied to games with low shot volumes, and Vasilevskiy has a history of taking time to warm up his goaltending engine every season.
