  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Will travel with team

Thomas (ankle) will accompany the Blues on their upcoming three-game road trip, which begins with Thursday's game in Buffalo, so that he can skate with the club, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Thomas hasn't played since Oct. 22 because of a fractured ankle, and his return isn't believed to be close, but it's still encouraging that he'll travel with the team. He has a goal and six points in seven appearances in 2024-25.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Nets power-play goal in loss

Reinhart scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Devils.

Reinhart got the Panthers on the board in the second period, but that was their lone goal of the game. The 29-year-old is on an eight-game point streak, earning seven goals and five assists in that span. For the season, he's at 12 tallies, 24 points, 41 shots on net and a plus-12 rating across 16 appearances. Somehow, he's at a 29.3 shooting percentage, which is even higher than his 24.5 percent mark from 2023-24. Reinhart has the talent to carry an elite rate of efficiency, but there are plenty of concerns about sustainability for anything over 20 percent.

  • Jake Walman D | SJ

Sharks' Jake Walman: Game-time call for Thursday

Walman (upper body) is expected to be a game-time decision Thursday, according to Max Miller of NHL.com.

Walman has a goal and nine points in 13 appearances in 2024-25. He's missed San Jose's last four games because of the injury. If he draws back into the lineup Thursday, then Jack Thompson would likely be a healthy scratch after dressing in the Sharks' past four games.

  • Jonas Brodin D | MIN

Wild's Jonas Brodin: Questionable for Thursday's game

Brodin (undisclosed) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Canadiens, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Brodin sustained an undisclosed injury during Sunday's overtime loss to Chicago, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Thursday. Over his last five appearances, he's logged a goal, six blocked shots and two hits while averaging 20:50 of ice time.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Slated starter for Thursday

Gustavsson is expected to start against Montreal at home Thursday, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.

Gustavsson has been fantastic this season, posting a 7-2-2 record, 2.27 GAA and .919 save percentage in 11 appearances. He's stopped 53 of 57 shots (.930 save percentage) across his past two starts. Montreal is 5-9-2 and ranks 19th offensively with 2.88 goals per game.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Delivers assist in win

Hischier posted an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.

Hischier shot a remarkable 22.7 percent during a 10-goal, 15-point October, but his luck has dried up. He's 0-for-8 on shots over six games in November, adding two assists. While he's at 17 points, 52 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 19 contests, he will need to find a bit more consistency moving forward, which shouldn't be too tough to do in a top-six role.

  • Ondrej Palat LW | NJ

Devils' Ondrej Palat: Fills empty cage

Palat scored an empty-net goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.

Palat has three tallies over his last seven games. The 33-year-old winger has filled a middle-six role for much of the campaign, but he's struggled to be consistent on offense. He has five points, 26 shots on net, 28 hits and a minus-5 rating. Palat is likely to be a depth scorer at best while adding some grit to the lineup.

  • Paul Cotter C | NJ

Devils' Paul Cotter: Finds twine in win

Cotter scored a goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.

Cotter has four points, 13 hits and a plus-4 rating over his last five contests. The 24-year-old provided an insurance tally late in the third period to help the Devils pull away with the win. The power forward has seven goals, five assists, 26 shots on net, 52 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-2 rating across 19 appearances. Cotter is likely to continue filling a middle-six role, though he's not expected to be a factor on the power play.

  • Timo Meier RW | NJ

    Devils' Timo Meier: Tallies game-winner

Meier scored a goal on four shots, blocked three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.

Meier's goal at 17:29 of the second period was the game-winner. The winger has been limited to two tallies over six contests in November, though it doesn't help that the Devils have been shut out twice this month. Overall, he has seven goals, 14 points, 52 shots on net, 37 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 19 games in a top-six role.

  • Jack Hughes C | NJ

Devils' Jack Hughes: Earns 300th career point

Hughes scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.

The goal was Hughes' 300th career point, an achievement he reached in 325 contests. He's racked up seven points over his last four games and now has eight goals, 11 assists, 65 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 19 appearances this season. Hughes has been well above a point-per-game pace in the last three years, so there's still the potential for him to find another level.
