  • Ondrej Palat LW | NYI

Islanders' Ondrej Palat: Moving to division rival

Palat, a third-round pick in 2026 and a sixth-round pick in 2027 were traded to the Islanders from the Devils on Tuesday in exchange for Maxim Tsyplakov.

Palat has 10 points, 53 shots on net, 89 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 51 outings for the Devils. His role with the Islanders will be largely the same as a bottom-six forward who may see time on the penalty kill. Palat has one more year on his contract at a $6 million cap hit, and Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports there is no salary retention in this deal. The Islanders have brought in Palat and Carson Soucy as they gear up for a playoff run by adding veterans in key depth roles.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Departs Tuesday's game

Luukkonen (lower body) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Maple Leafs.

Luukkonen allowed two goals on five shots in 12:14 of ice time and didn't look comfortable as he left the ice. The goalie was replaced by Colten Ellis, who would likely slot into the backup role behind Alex Lyon if Luukkonen misses time. The Sabres' next game is Thursday at home versus the Kings.

  • Kings' Joel Edmundson: Poised to play

Edmundson (upper body) is expected to play against Detroit on Tuesday, according to Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Edmundson logged just 14:51 of ice time in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over St. Louis, but it seems he won't miss additional playing time due to the injury. He has accounted for two goals, 14 assists, 67 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and 59 hits across 50 appearances this season.

  • Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Expected to play

Zadorov (ankle) is slated to play Tuesday versus the Predators, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Zadorov missed Monday's game versus the Rangers, but he was a game-time decision for that contest. He also returned to Saturday's game versus the Canadiens after sustaining the injury, which suggests it isn't likely to be a long-term concern. Zadorov is expected to fill a top-four shutdown role Tuesday.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Facing Canadiens

Schmid will be between the pipes for Tuesday's road matchup against Montreal, SinBin.vegas reports.

Schmid is coming off a 25-save effort in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Boston. He has posted a 15-5-5 record in 2025-26 with a 2.51 GAA, an .896 save percentage and two shutouts through 26 appearances. Montreal sits fifth in the league with 3.37 goals per game this season.

  • Ondrej Palat LW | NYI

Devils' Ondrej Palat: Held out Tuesday

Palat won't play Tuesday versus the Jets on Tuesday for roster-related reasons, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

It's unclear if Palat is being held out for an impending trade or some other reason, but nonetheless, he won't suit up. The 34-year-old has just 10 points in 51 appearances this season, so his absence Tuesday and any subsequent change of scenery have virtually no impact on fantasy managers.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Starting in Toronto

Luukkonen will defend the road net against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, according to Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News.

Luukkonen is coming off a 32-save effort in Thursday's 4-2 win over Montreal. He has gone 11-7-2 this campaign with a 2.66 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 20 appearances. Toronto ranks 11th in the league with 3.27 goals per game this season.

  • Sean Durzi D | UTA

Mammoth's Sean Durzi: Slated to play

Durzi (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Panthers on Tuesday.

Durzi left Monday's game versus the Lightning late in the third period after taking a hit along the boards. However, it appears he's no worse for wear, though the Mammoth did call up Dmitri Simashev for extra defensive depth prior to Monday's contest. Durzi should fill a top-four role in Tuesday's game.

  • Dylan Guenther RW | UTA

    Mammoth's Dylan Guenther: Unavailable Tuesday

Guenther (lower body) won't play against Florida on Tuesday.

Guenther will miss at least one game, which will end his three-game point streak. He had two goals and two assists during that span, giving him 24 tallies and 45 points across 52 appearances this season. Kailer Yamamoto will take Guenther's spot on the third line, while Liam O'Brien will play after being a healthy scratch for Monday's 2-0 loss to Tampa Bay.

  • Mammoth's Vitek Vanecek: Starting versus Panthers

Vanecek will guard the road goal versus the Panthers on Tuesday.

Vanecek hasn't seen any action over the last six games. He is looking to shake off a 10-game skid (0-8-2), in which he's given up 31 goals on 247 shots (.874 save percentage). The Mammoth are in the second half of a back-to-back against a Panthers team that is as healthy as it has been all season, making this a tough matchup.
