  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Guarding goal Tuesday

Saros will protect the road goal versus the Bruins on Tuesday.

Saros has won three of his last five games, but he's allowed at least three goals in each of those contests. That could make this matchup challenging. The Bruins' offense has been humming with 22 goals over their last six games, going 4-1-1 in that span.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Set to start Tuesday

Swayman will protect the home goal versus the Predators on Tuesday, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Swayman has won four of his last five outings, allowing 13 goals on 140 shots (.907 save percentage) in that span. The Predators have scored 23 goals over their last six games, winning three of them, so this could be a challenging matchup between two hot teams.

  • Avalanche's Keaton Middleton: Brought up from AHL

Middleton was summoned from AHL Colorado on Tuesday.

Middleton has two goals and nine points in 39 AHL appearances this campaign. He will probably make his 2025-26 debut with the Avalanche against Ottawa on Wednesday. Middleton had two assists, 44 shots on goal, 37 blocked shots and 69 hits in 41 games for Colorado during the 2024-25 NHL regular season.

  • Mammoth's Cameron Hebig: Returned to minors

Hebig was loaned to AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

In a corresponding move, Utah recalled Dmitri Simashev from the minors. Hebig has been a healthy scratch in three straight games for Utah and hasn't made his NHL debut yet. He has 15 goals and 33 points in 35 AHL outings this season.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Called up from minors

Simashev was recalled from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

Simashev's promotion would seem to indicate that Sean Durzi (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup versus the Panthers on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, forward Cameron Hebig was sent down to the minors. In 24 NHL games this year, Simashev has yet to score a goal while generating just one assist. As much, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect him to suddenly start producing offensively if he gets into the lineup.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Tending twine Tuesday

Hellebuyck will guard the road goal against New Jersey on Tuesday, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

Hellebuyck has gone 0-2-2 in his last four outings while allowing 10 goals on 110 shots. He has a 12-14-6 record this campaign with a 2.69 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 32 appearances. New Jersey is tied for 28th in the league with 2.60 goals per game this season.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Officially ruled out through Olympics

Rossi (lower body) suffered a setback and won't be back until after the Olympic break, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports Tuesday.

Rossi has already been sidelined for the last 13 games due to his lower-body problem and will now be shelved for at least five more before the break. Once given the all-clear, Rossi should reclaim a spot in the top six for Vancouver, though it will likely be too late for the team to make a postseason push.

  • Sharks' Kiefer Sherwood: Still sidelined against Vancouver

Sherwood (upper body) will not be in action versus the Canucks on Tuesday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Sherwood was originally hoping to get into Tuesday's contest in order to face his former club, but instead, he will have to wait at least one more game. The winger is expected to play at some point during the team's five-game road trip, but no word yet on when that might be.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Set to start Tuesday

Askarov will start Tuesday's road game against Vancouver, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Askarov has lost his last three outings while permitting 12 goals on 74 shots. However, he has made 56 saves on 61 shots en route to winning his previous two starts against the Canucks this season. In the 2025-26 campaign, Vancouver is tied for 28th in the league with 2.60 goals per game.

  • Zeev Buium D | VAN

Canucks' Zeev Buium: Has broken bone near cheek

Buium (face) is dealing with a broken bone near his cheek and isn't expected to be available until after the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet on Tuesday.

Buium was injured Sunday against the Penguins after being struck in the face by the puck. MacIntyre relayed that surgery has yet to be ruled out to address Buium's broken bone near his cheek. The 20-year-old Buium was placed on injured reserve Monday and will now turn his attention to attempting to be ready for game action when the Canucks resume play Feb. 25 against Winnipeg after the Olympics.
