Simon Holmstrom RW | NYI
Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Game-time decision
Holmstrom (illness) will be a game-time decision against Philadelphia on Monday, Rachel Luscher of the Islanders' official site reports.
Holmstrom participated in Monday's morning skate, which might bode well for his availability. He has compiled 12 goals, 24 points, 56 shots on net and 34 blocked shots across 50 games this season. If Holmstrom can't play against the Flyers, Maxim Tsyplakov or Calum Ritchie will enter Monday's lineup.

Simon Edvinsson D | DET
Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson: Shut down through Olympics
Edvinsson (lower body) will not return until after the Olympic break, Daniella Bruce of the Red Wings' official site reports Monday.
Edvinsson likely would have been in the mix to be an injury replacement for Sweden if he wasn't dealing with a lower-body injury of his own. With the blueliner ruled out for the next five games, he almost certainly will be designated for injured reserve in order to give Detroit an open roster spot for a recall.

Joonas Korpisalo G | BOS
Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Tending twine Monday
Korpisalo will defend the road crease against the Rangers on Monday, Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site reports.
Korpisalo has been strong over his five outings since the start of the calendar year, going 4-0-0 with a 1.42 GAA and .948 save percentage. Although the Rangers are scoring just 2.63 goals per game this year -- which is the sixth-worst mark in the league -- Korpisalo struggled in a home start against the Blueshirts on Nov. 28, allowing five goals on 36 shots (.861 save percentage) in a 6-2 loss.

Kasperi Kapanen RW | EDM
Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Playing Monday
Kapanen (undisclosed) will face the Ducks on Monday.
Kapanen returns following three games on the shelf due to his undisclosed injury. In his last eight outings, the 29-year-old winger racked up three goals, four assists and 19 shots. With Kapanen back in the lineup, he should retake a top-six role, while Andrew Mangiapane will serve as a healthy scratch.

Connor Brown RW | NJ
Devils' Connor Brown: Supplies two assists in loss
Brown recorded two power-play assists in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Seattle.
Brown played a hand in both goals scored by New Jersey on Sunday. With the pair of secondary helpers, he is up to 11 assists, 21 points, 61 shots on net and 26 blocks across 45 games this season. The 32-year-old winger is currently riding a three-game point streak and has carved out a solid role in New Jersey's middle six. Already just nine points away from matching the 30 points he posted in 82 regular-season games with the Oilers a year ago, Brown should remain involved with his new team's offense moving forward, giving him decent fantasy value in deep leagues.

Dan Vladar G | PHI
Flyers' Dan Vladar: Close to return
Vladar (lower body) participated in Monday's morning skate and is nearing a return to the lineup, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
Vladar will miss his sixth straight game when the Flyers host the Islanders on Monday, but he probably could have served as Samuel Ersson's backup. However, Philadelphia will give the 28-year-old Vladar some additional time to recover before activating him from injured reserve. He has posted a 16-7-4 record with a 2.46 GAA and a .905 save percentage across 28 appearances this season.

Elvis Merzlikins G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Game against Los Angeles postponed
Merzlikins and the Blue Jackets won't play against the Kings on Monday since the game was postponed due to severe winter weather in the Columbus area.
Merzlikins was slated to draw the start at home Monday, but the game will be rescheduled for March 9. The next game on the Blue Jackets' schedule is a home matchup against the Flyers on Wednesday, but it's not yet clear who will start in net during that game.

Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Game postponed Monday
Kuemper and the Kings will not face the Blue Jackets on Monday after the game was postponed due to severe weather.
The Kings were already practicing Monday when the news came out. The team will benefit from not having to play in a back-to-back, which means Kuemper figures to be between the pipes on the road versus Detroit on Tuesday, though that hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Grabs two points in loss
Hughes tallied a goal on three shots and dished out an assist in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken.
Hughes had the primary helper on Dougie Hamilton's power-play goal in the first period before the star center later scored with a man advantage himself in the third. With the pair of points, Hughes is up to 12 goals, 34 points, 121 shots on net and 16 blocked shots across 34 games this season. Since the calendar flipped to 2026, the 24-year-old forward has elevated his game with 12 points in as many games. He has finished each of the past four seasons above a point-per-game pace and has a strong chance to make it five consecutive campaigns with a steady back half of the season. Barring injury, Hughes should be a high-level fantasy option across all league formats.

Ilya Sorokin G | NYI
Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Starting against Philadelphia
Sorokin will start Monday's road game against the Flyers, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Sorokin has had mixed results over his last five starts, going 3-2-0 with a 2.84 GAA and .906 save percentage during that time. He made a road start against Philadelphia on Oct. 25, turning aside 23 of 26 shots (.885 save percentage) in a shootout loss.
