  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Tending twine Sunday

Woll will patrol the home crease against Colorado on Sunday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.

Woll has gone 0-1-2 in his last three outings, but he stopped 39 of 41 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss to Detroit. He has gone 11-5-4 this campaign with a 2.85 GAA, a .911 save percentage and two shutouts through 21 appearances. Colorado ranks first in the league with 3.94 goals per game this season. Woll made 31 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Avalanche on Jan. 12.

  • Jiri Patera G | VAN

Canucks' Jiri Patera: Demoted to AHL

Patera was loaned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Patera sat on the bench for all three games during his recent recall. He has seen action in one NHL game this season, allowing seven goals on 40 shots Nov. 17 in an 8-5 loss in Florida. The Canucks recalled Nikita Tolopilo from Abbotsford in a corresponding move.

  • Capitals' Bogdan Trineyev: Inks two-year contract

Trineyev signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract extension with the Capitals on Saturday.

Trineyev will be on a two-way deal in 2026-27 before it becomes a one-way contract during the 2028-29 campaign. The 23-year-old has nine goals and 20 points in 30 games with AHL Hershey this season.

  • Matvei Michkov RW | PHI

Flyers' Matvei Michkov: Three points Friday

Michkov recorded two even-strength goals and a power-play assist in Friday's 7-3 win over the Avalanche.

Michkov delivered his best outing of the 2025-26 campaign so far. His last multi-point performance came back on Dec. 30, and Friday's performance was his first time he scored two goals in a game since Nov. 29. Michkov hasn't been able to repeat the numbers he accomplished as a rookie, but he is up to 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 49 contests this season. Playing in a bottom-six role limits his upside, but he remains a player worth rostering in deeper leagues and dynasty formats.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Moves to non-roster list

Wedgewood (personal) was designated as a non-roster player Saturday.

Wedgewood is expected to return at some point during the team's four-game road trip, which begins against Toronto on Sunday. His wife, Brittany, gave birth to their second child Thursday, according to Corey Masisak of The Denver Post. The Avalanche recalled Isak Posch from AHL Colorado on Saturday to serve as Mackenzie Blackwood's backup.

  • Isak Posch G | COL

Avalanche's Isak Posch: Recalled from AHL

Posch was recalled from AHL Colorado on Saturday.

In a corresponding move, Scott Wedgewood (personal) was granted non-roster status. Posch was 12-5-3 with a 2.45 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 20 AHL games before his recall.

  • Canadiens' Alexandre Texier: Back in action

Texier (lower body) will return to the lineup against Boston on Saturday.

Texier missed a pair of games due to the injury. He will return to a top-line role, replacing Joe Veleno in Saturday's lineup. Since having his contract terminated by the Blues on Nov. 23, Texier has seven goals and nine assists in 27 games with the Canadiens.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Struggles again Friday

Blackwood stopped 13 of 19 shots in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers. The seventh goal was an empty-netter at the 16:53 mark of the third period.

In terms of save percentage, this was Blackwood's worst outing of the season by a wide margin -- he failed to post a save percentage of at least .700 for the first time in 2025-26. Since returning from a lower-body injury, Blackwood has struggled in two appearances while allowing 11 goals on 47 shots.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Starting in Boston

Montembeault will defend the road net against the Bruins on Saturday.

Montembeault has gone 1-1-1 in his last three outings while allowing 11 goals on 92 shots. He has posted a 9-7-2 record with a 3.42 GAA and an .871 save percentage across 21 appearances this season. Boston ranks ninth in the league with 3.29 goals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Bounces back Friday

Ersson stopped 32 of 35 shots in Friday's 7-3 win over the Avalanche.

Ersson had a solid performance in a challenging matchup against one of the best teams in the league. He earned the win while posting a save percentage above .910 for the second time since Dec. 23. Ersson should remain as the Flyers' No. 1 netminder for the time being, but he's going to return to a backup role once Dan Vladar (lower body) returns. Ersson has gone 2-2-1 with a 3.48 GAA and an .873 save percentage over his last six starts.
