Morgan Frost C | CGY
Flames' Morgan Frost: Pots goal Friday
Frost scored a power-play goal in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals.
Frost opened the scoring for the Flames with a wrister at the 6:09 mark of the first period. It was his 10th goal of the season, but he's found the back of the net just twice in 11 January outings. Frost's bottom-six role also limits his fantasy upside considerably.

Jakob Pelletier LW | TB
Lightning's Jakob Pelletier: Recalled from minors
Pelletier was summoned from AHL Syracuse on Saturday.
Pelletier has amassed 19 goals and 41 points in 35 AHL outings this season. He will be an option for Tampa Bay in Saturday's matchup against Columbus, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup.

Devin Cooley G | CGY
Flames' Devin Cooley: Strong outing despite loss
Cooley stopped 35 of 37 shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals. The third goal was an empty-netter with 53 seconds left in the game.
Cooley has lost his last two starts, but he has been solid between the pipes. Through four appearances in January, he has gone 2-1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and an outstanding .950 save percentage. He has been sharing the Calgary crease with Dustin Wolf, and if that trend continues, Cooley could start Thursday's road game against Minnesota.

David Rittich G | NYI
Islanders' David Rittich: Facing Sabres
Rittich will defend the home cage versus Buffalo on Saturday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.
Due to a healthy Ilya Sorokin, Rittich has made only one appearance in the last six games. Rittich is 11-6-3 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.49 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 20 outings this season. Buffalo ranks 10th in the NHL during the 2025-26 campaign with 3.28 goals per game.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Facing Lightning
Greaves will protect the home net against Tampa Bay on Saturday, according to Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.
Greaves is coming off a 28-save performance in Thursday's 1-0 shutout win over Dallas. He has a 15-12-6 record this campaign with a 2.62 GAA and a .910 save percentage through 34 appearances. Tampa Bay sits second in the league with 3.45 goals per game this season.

Ryan Pulock D | NYI
Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Unavailable Saturday
Pulock (upper body) has been ruled out of Saturday's tilt versus Buffalo, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Pulock left Wednesday's game versus the Kraken in the third period and did not return. He has two goals, 21 points and 93 blocked shots in 50 appearances this season. The Islanders recalled Isaiah George from AHL Bridgeport on Saturday, and he will take Pulock's place in the lineup.

Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting Saturday
Swayman will be between the home pipes versus Montreal on Saturday, according to Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.
Swayman had won three in a row before he allowed six goals on 34 shots in a 6-2 loss to Dallas on Tuesday. Overall, Swayman is 19-12-2 with a 2.88 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 34 games this season. The Canadiens are generating 3.37 goals per game in 2025-26, tied for fourth in league scoring.

Matthew Knies LW | TOR
Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Two helpers in Friday's loss
Knies picked up two assists in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
All of Toronto's scoring came in the second period, with Knies having a hand in tallies by John Tavares and Scott Laughton. Knies has put together a fairly productive January, delivering a goal and eight points in 12 games with 15 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-5 rating.

Anthony Stolarz G | TOR
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Stuck with loss in return
Stolarz stopped 25 of 30 shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights, with Vegas' final goal getting scored into an empty net.
Making his return from an upper-body injury that cost him two-and-a-half months of action, Stolarz looked a little rusty at times -- the second goal against him came when he failed to corral two rebounds on the same sequence -- but he also didn't get much help from his defense. The veteran netminder will likely work in a timeshare with Joseph Woll now that both of them are healthy, but Stolarz will need to improve on his 3.63 GAA and .880 save percentage to avoid slipping into the No. 2 role.

Isaiah George D | NYI
Islanders' Isaiah George: Recalled from Bridgeport
George was summoned from AHL Bridgeport on Saturday.
George had two goals and 10 points in 24 AHL games before his recall. George has spent the entire season with Bridgeport after playing 33 regular-season games with the Islanders in 2024-25, scoring once and adding four assists with the big club. The Islanders sent Cole McWard to the minors in a corresponding move Saturday. George could suit up Saturday in Buffalo, as the Islanders are down to five healthy defensemen, with Ryan Pulock day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
