Barclay Goodrow C | SJ
Sharks' Barclay Goodrow: Fills empty net
Goodrow scored an empty-net goal on two shots, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
Goodrow scored for the first time since his two-goal, three-point burst Dec. 16 versus the Flames. He had two assists over the 13 contests between goals. The 32-year-old defensive forward is at nine points, 42 shots on net, 28 PIM, 71 hits and 35 blocked shots over 48 appearances this season, which is already a more productive campaign on offense than last year (eight points in 77 outings).

Valtteri Puustinen RW | PIT
Avalanche's Valtteri Puustinen: Headed to Colorado
Puustinen, alongside a 2026 seventh-round pick, were traded to the Avalanche from Pittsburgh on Tuesday in exchange for Ilya Solovyov.
In the midst of his seventh season in the Penguins' organization, Puustinen will move to Colorado following Tuesday's trade. While he didn't crack Pittsburgh's lineup this season, he has been productive with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 26 points across 35 games. It'll be tough for him to find a full-time role with the Avalanche, but he might be able to join the NHL squad at some point this season due to the team's plethora of current injuries on the wing.

Vincent Desharnais D | SJ
Sharks' Vincent Desharnais: Scores in return
Desharnais scored a goal on two shots, added six PIM, doled out six hits and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
Desharnais had missed the previous 23 games due to an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old defenseman will likely compete with Vincent Iorio for third-pairing minutes moving forward, as Nick Leddy was waived to clear a spot for Desharnais to return. Through 21 outings, Desharnais has three points, 14 shots on net, 34 hits, 35 blocked shots and 38 PIM, so he has fairly limited appeal unless his offense takes off.

Mario Ferraro D | SJ
Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Lights lamp Monday
Ferraro scored a goal on two shots, blocked two shots and went plus-3 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
Ferraro has four goals this season, three of them coming over the last 10 games. The 27-year-old defenseman is up to a total of 12 points, 57 shots on net, 93 blocks, 84 hits and a minus-3 rating over 48 appearances. His career high of 21 points from the 2023-24 campaign is within reach. Ferraro has appeal in deeper fantasy formats thanks to his steady physical play.

Valeri Nichushkin RW | COL
Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Should be available Wednesday
Nichushkin (upper body) is expected to suit up at home versus the Ducks on Wednesday, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Nichushkin sustained minor injuries in a car accident on the way to Monday's game versus the Capitals, per Corey Masisak of The Denver Post. However, the 30-year-old winger participated in Tuesday's optional skate and isn't expected to miss any additional time. As long as he doesn't have any setbacks prior to puck drop Wednesday, Nichushkin should reclaim his spot on the second line next to Ross Colton and Brock Nelson.

Will Smith C | SJ
Sharks' Will Smith: Buries goal Monday
Smith scored a goal in Monday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
Smith has scored in consecutive contests following his 13-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 20-year-old has immediately retaken a top-line role and doesn't appear to need to shake off any rust. He's up to 14 goals, 31 points, 84 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 35 appearances, making him a strong offense-only option with ample upside in fantasy.

Jaden Schwartz LW | SEA
Kraken's Jaden Schwartz: Earns first helper since return
Schwartz logged an assist and three shots on goal in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Penguins.
Schwartz picked up his first point in six games since he returned from a lower-body injury that cost him 19 contests. His slow restart has seen him dropped to the fourth line at even strength, though Schwartz remains involved in all situations. The winger is at 16 points, 55 shots on net, 26 hits, 29 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 29 appearances.
-
Ryan Lindgren D | SEA
Kraken's Ryan Lindgren: Scores in Monday's loss
Lindgren scored a goal, added four PIM and went plus-2 in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Penguins.
Lindgren has been inconsistent on offense in his first year with the Kraken, which isn't too surprising given his playing style and the team's low-scoring tendency. The defenseman has earned four points over his last 16 games and a total of two goals and eight points through 48 outings this season. He's added 37 shots on net, 80 blocked shots, 31 hits and 47 PIM.
-
Eeli Tolvanen RW | SEA
Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen: Strikes on power play in loss
Tolvanen scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two hits and went minus-3 in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Penguins.
Tolvanen has three goals and an assist over his last five outings. The 26-year-old was on a six-game point drought before that stretch, but he's bounced back to continue to prove himself as a decent all-around option in fantasy. The winger is up to 10 goals, 29 points (11 on the power play), 80 shots on net, 122 hits, 52 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 47 appearances. A 50-point campaign is within reach if he can limit slumps.

Ilya Solovyov D | PIT
Penguins' Ilya Solovyov: Joins via trade
Solovyov was acquired by the Penguins from the Avalanche on Tuesday in exchange for Valtteri Puustinen and a 2026 seventh-round pick.
Solovyov's acquisition could be an indication that both Erik Karlsson (lower body) and Caleb Jones (lower body) are going to be out longer term. In order to make room for the blueliner on the roster, the Pens sent Joona Koppanen down to the minors in a move earlier Tuesday. In his 16 NHL games this year, the 25-year-old Solovyov has notched one goal, two assists and 19 hits while averaging just 11:34 of ice time.
