  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: First off Saturday

Lankinen was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports, indicating he will protect the home net against Edmonton on Saturday.

In his last five outings, Lankinen has gone 0-3-1 while allowing 15 goals on 140 shots. He has a 6-13-4 record this season with a 3.36 GAA and an .887 save percentage through 24 appearances. Edmonton ranks sixth in the league with 3.31 goals per game this campaign, but Leon Draisaitl (personal) won't be in Saturday's lineup.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Taking leave of absence

Draisaitl is taking a leave of absence from the Oilers because of an illness in the family, the team announced Saturday.

The Oilers said Draisaitl is expected to return later next week. Draisaitl has 25 goals and 67 points in 48 appearances in 2025-26. Andrew Mangiapane will probably draw into the lineup Saturday in Vancouver due to Draisaitl's absence.

  • Nick Leddy D | SJ

Sharks' Nick Leddy: Nabs assist in loss

Leddy logged an assist and two hits in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Leddy was scratched for 10 of the Sharks' previous 15 games. The 34-year-old filled in for Vincent Iorio in Friday's contest, but Leddy's playing time has been trending down since late October. He's earned just four assists with six shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 19 appearances this season.

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: First point since return

Klingberg logged an assist and went minus-2 in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Klingberg earned his first point in three contests since he returned from a four-game absence due to a lower-body injury. The defenseman's production had started to fade prior to the injury -- he has just two points over his last 10 outings, but he's still in a top-four role with power-play time. Klingberg has 17 points (seven on the power play), 52 shots on net, 45 blocked shots, 25 hits and 16 PIM over 34 appearances.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Set to start Sunday

Ingram is expected to patrol the home crease against St. Louis on Sunday, per Mark Spector of Sportsnet.

Ingram will get the second half of the team's back-to-back after the Oilers visit the Canucks on Saturday. He has posted a 4-3-1 record at the NHL level this season while allowing 20 goals on 215 shots. St. Louis sits 32nd in the league with 2.48 goals per game this campaign.

  • Collin Graf RW | SJ

Sharks' Collin Graf: Deposits another goal

Graf scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Graf has scored in three straight games and has three goals and two assists during a four-game streak. The 23-year-old forward is doing that despite being back on the third line for the bulk of that stretch. The versatile winger is up to 14 goals, 27 points, 54 shots on net, 47 hits, 33 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 46 appearances. He's emerging as a glue guy who can chip in plenty of support scoring from anywhere in the lineup.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Facing Lightning on Sunday

Oettinger will defend the home goal versus Tampa Bay on Sunday, Stars' beat writer Robert Tiffin reports.

Oettinger has struggled of late, going 1-3-2 with a 3.48 GAA and an .872 save percentage across his last six starts. Overall, the netminder is 17-9-4 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.68 GAA and a .903 save percentage over 30 appearances. The Lightning are 11-0-1 in their last 12 games and are second in NHL scoring, generating 3.48 goals per game this season.

  • Will Smith C | SJ

Sharks' Will Smith: Scores in return

Smith scored a goal on three shots in 21:10 of ice time in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Smith returned from a 13-game absence due to an upper-body injury, and he immediately reclaimed a top-line role. The 20-year-old was in the midst of a breakout campaign prior to the injury. He's at 13 goals, 30 points, 83 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over 34 appearances. If he can seamlessly get back up to speed, fantasy managers should make room to get him back in their lineups.

  • Golden Knights' Dylan Coghlan: Summoned from minors

Coghlan was recalled from AHL Henderson on Saturday.

Coghlan will provide the Golden Knights with a depth defender ahead of Saturday's game against Nashville, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup. He logged 15:58 of ice time against Columbus on Jan. 8 and blocked three shots.

  • J.T. Compher LW | DET

Red Wings' J.T. Compher: Puts away goal

Compher scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Compher has two goals and two assists over his last six outings. He's been a fine depth scorer in a middle-six role this season, picking up 17 points in 49 outings. He's added 55 shots on net, 33 blocked shots, 17 hits, 17 PIM and a minus-3 rating. Compher has seen sparse usage on the power play, so it's unlikely his recent success is sustainable in the long run.
