  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Gets overtime win

Schmid stopped 22 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.

Schmid collected his third straight win with this effort, though he let a couple of leads slip away during regulation time. He's allowed six goals on 67 shots during his winning streak. For the season, the 25-year-old netminder is up to 14-4-5 with a 2.47 GAA and an .896 save percentage over 24 appearances. The Golden Knights play again Thursday versus the Maple Leafs, but a goalie for that game has yet to be announced.

  • Kings' Nikita Alexandrov: Huge effort in AHL comeback win

Alexandrov scored twice and added an assist in AHL Ontario's 4-3 shootout win over Colorado on Wednesday.

Alexandrov has 18 points in as many games with the Reign since he was traded to the Kings from the Blues back in early December. The forward is up to nine goals and 23 helpers over 36 outings at the AHL level this season. The 25-year-old forward should be in contention for a call-up to the Kings if he keeps up this scoring pace.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Pockets two assists

Miller notched two assists and two hits in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Miller has four points over his last four games since returning from an upper-body injury. The 32-year-old forward has added nine shots on net and seven hits in that span, though he also has a minus-6 rating as the Rangers have struggled in their own zone. Miller is up to 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists), 86 shots on net, 81 hits and a minus-17 rating through 39 appearances this season.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Contributes pair of helpers

Zibanejad logged two assists and five shots on goal in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Zibanejad's point streak is up to seven games (six goals, eight assists) with this effort. The 32-year-old has been one of the few bright spots for the Rangers lately. He's up to 18 goals, 25 helpers, 129 shots on net, 70 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 47 appearances. Zibanejad has played center and right wing this season, so that versatility should give him a little extra appeal in fantasy as long as he can keep scoring regularly.

  • Noah Laba C | NYR

Rangers' Noah Laba: Power-play goal in loss

Laba scored a power-play goal, added two PIM, logged two hits and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Laba's tally came near the end of the Rangers' lone power play in the game. This ended an 11-game goal drought for the center, who also missed three contests in that span due to an upper-body injury. The 22-year-old rookie has six goals, 13 points (four on the power play), 46 shots on net, 57 hits, 31 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 45 outings this season. He's not a lock for power-play minutes, so his scoring numbers are likely to remain fairly low.

  • Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Puts up two points

Lafreniere scored a goal on two shots, added a power-play assist and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Lafreniere has earned two goals and four assists over six games in January, but he also has a minus-6 rating this month. The winger was shuffled up to the top line after practicing in a middle-six role earlier in the week. He's up to 10 goals, 26 points (five on the power play), 91 shots on net, 65 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 48 contests this season.

  • Gabe Perreault RW | NYR

Rangers' Gabe Perreault: Pots two goals in loss

Perreault scored twice in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Perreault ended a 10-game goal drought with the effort. Over that span, he was limited to three assists, and he had gone five contests without earning any points. The 20-year-old winger's offense is still a work in progress, especially on a low-scoring team. He has three goals, four assists, 14 shots on net, 12 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 15 appearances this season.

  • Rangers' Spencer Martin: Makes another relief appearance

Martin stopped 11 of 12 shots in relief of Jonathan Quick in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Martin did fine in the contest, and the Rangers' offense showed up just enough for the Senators' eighth goal to be an empty-netter. Over two relief outings this season, Martin has allowed five goals on 26 shots, so it's not likely he'll function as anything more than a backup while on the NHL roster. He may get a start next week, either Monday in Anaheim or Tuesday in Los Angeles, as the Rangers navigate the back-to-back set.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Pulled in ugly loss

Quick gave up six goals on 17 shots in Wednesday's 8-4 loss to the Senators.

Quick gave up four goals in the first period, but he was left in until Thomas Chabot tallied at 12:23 of the second. Quick has four straight regulation losses and is now 0-9-2 over his last 11 outings. He was mostly effective with a limited workload, but he has faltered significantly since Igor Shesterkin's (lower body) absence has led to Quick taking on the starting job. For the season, Quick is 3-10-2 with a 3.13 GAA and an .887 save percentage over 15 appearances. The Rangers' next game is scheduled for Saturday in Philadelphia, marking the start of a four-game road trip.

  • Nick Cousins C | OTT

Senators' Nick Cousins: Dishes two helpers

Cousins logged two assists and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.

Cousins snapped a six-game point drought with his first multi-point effort of the season. The 32-year-old helped out on goals by Jake Sanderson and Thomas Chabot during the second period. For the season, Cousins has earned 12 points, 35 shots on net, 85 hits, 51 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 45 appearances, mainly in a fourth-line role.
