Evgeni Malkin C | PIT
Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Moves up team record list
Malkin scored a goal late in the third period of Tuesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Lightning.
The Pens had the extra attacker on the ice when Malkin scored his 10th goal of the season at 17:44 of the third. It was his sixth game-tying goal in the final three minutes of regulation to pass Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Rick Kehoe and Jake Guentzel (each with five) for the second most in franchise history. Sidney Crosby holds the record (eight). Malkin is on a personal, albeit injury-interrupted, six-game scoring streak that includes four goals, four assists and four power-play points (one goal). He also has eight PIM and 12 shots in that span.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Does his part and more in loss
Silovs made 30 saves in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Lightning on Tuesday.
He'd like the goal back. Silovs dropped the puck late in the third after stopping a shot, and J.J. Moser was right there to poke it underneath him. Silovs did his part Tuesday, but he needs some help. The Pens have scored two goals (total) in three straight losses (0-2-1). Silovs is 4-1-1 in his last six starts, and he's 8-6-7 with one shutout, 3.06 GAA and .892 save percentage in 21 starts. He also has two rare goalie assists this season.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Wins eighth straight game
Vasilevskiy made 26 saves Tuesday in a 2-1 shootout win over the Penguins.
Both teams played well defensively, and the game could have gone either way. Vasilevskiy made several sharp saves to extend his personal winning streak to eight games. That matches John Gibson and Scott Wedgewood for the second-longest this season. Brandon Bussi has the longest winning streak this season (nine).

Zachary L'Heureux LW | NSH
Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Adds three more points
L'Heureux scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Milwaukee's 5-4 overtime win over Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
L'Heureux has popped off for seven points over his last two games. For the season, he has 18 points in 15 appearances. The 22-year-old drew into 62 NHL games last season, so he probably doesn't have much more to prove at the AHL level.

Joakim Kemell RW | NSH
Predators' Joakim Kemell: Pots pair for Admirals
Kemell scored two goals in AHL Milwaukee's 5-4 overtime win over Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
Kemell had been struggling, earning just two assists over his previous eight games. The 21-year-old winger is at nine goals, 21 points, 64 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 27 appearances. Kemell has shown some flashes of his talent this season, but he'll need to avoid the dry spells to work his way into the conversation for another call-up.

Jani Nyman RW | SEA
Kraken's Jani Nyman: Hot start in AHL
Nyman scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-2 win over Texas on Tuesday.
Nyman has picked up three goals and added an assist over six contests since returning to the AHL. The winger spent most of the first half of the season with the Kraken, earning six points in 24 appearances, including three over nine outings in December. He'll likely be near the top of the list for a call-up if the Kraken have bad injury luck later in the season.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Absent from lineup
Carlsson (lower body) won't play Friday versus the Stars.
Carlsson will be out of the lineup along with Troy Terry (upper body) and Cutter Gauthier (illness), leaving the Ducks' forward group extremely thin. It's unclear if Carlsson will be able to play Friday versus the Kings. He previously missed a game due to a lower-body injury in late December.

Troy Terry RW | ANA
Ducks' Troy Terry: Not playing Tuesday
Terry (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Stars, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Originally labeled a game-time decision, Terry did not take the ice for warmups. He'll miss a third straight game but should be considered close to a return, which could come against the Kings on Friday if he continues to make progress.

Miro Heiskanen D | DAL
Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Unavailable Tuesday
Heiskanen (personal) is away from the team to tend to a family matter and will not play Tuesday versus the Ducks.
Heiskanen's absence will likely be covered by Ilya Lyubushkin. It's unclear if Heiskanen will be back in time for Thursday's contest versus the Mammoth, which is the last one of the Stars' current road trip.
