Zayne Parekh D | CGY
Flames' Zayne Parekh: Still out Tuesday
Parekh (upper body) won't play Tuesday versus the Blue Jackets, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Parekh continues to recover from his injury, which is believed to have occurred during his time with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. The 19-year-old defenseman is not a lock for the Flames' lineup once healthy, but he should play most of the time he's on the roster to gain experience.

Kevin Lankinen G | VAN
Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Starting Tuesday
Lankinen will guard the road goal versus the Senators on Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Lankinen will handle the second half of a back-to-back after Nikita Tolopilo played Monday in a 6-3 loss to the Canadiens. Lankinen is winless in his last three outings, allowing nine goals on 64 shots in that span, which makes him a risky fantasy option for Tuesday's schedule.

Jakob Chychrun D | WAS
Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Unavailable Tuesday
Chychrun (illness) won't play against Montreal on Tuesday, according to Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.
Despite participating in Tuesday's morning skate, Chychrun will miss his second straight game. He has registered 15 goals, 32 points, 150 shots on net, 57 blocked shots and 39 hits across 45 appearances this season.

Brayden Point C | TB
Lightning's Brayden Point: Deemed week-to-week
Point (lower body) is week-to-week, per Lightning play-by-by announcer Dave Randorf on Tuesday.
Point sustained the injury in Monday's 5-1 win over Philadelphia. While it isn't a season-ending issue, he will likely be out for a while, and it remains unclear if it will impact his availability for the 2026 Winter Olympics in February. Point has amassed 11 goals, 30 points and 82 shots on net through 37 appearances this season.

Jonathan Marchessault C | NSH
Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Surfaces on IR
Marchessault (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site.
Marchessault will miss his 13th straight game against Edmonton on Tuesday. It remains unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. Marchessault has generated seven goals, 10 points, 60 shots on net and 30 hits across 28 appearances this season.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Starting in Anaheim
DeSmith will defend the road net against the Ducks on Tuesday, according to Stars beat writer Robert Tiffin.
DeSmith will get the second half of Dallas' back-to-back after Jake Oettinger played in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings. The 34-year-old DeSmith has a 10-2-5 record, a 2.48 GAA, a .911 save percentage and one shutout through 18 appearances this season. Anaheim ranks 11th in the league with 3.24 goals per game this campaign.

Brett Howden C | LV
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Not available versus Kings
Howden (lower body) won't be in action against Los Angeles on Wednesday, per Sin Bin Vegas.
Howden was rolling offensively prior to getting hurt, producing six points in his last nine contests, including four goals. Once given the all-clear, the Calgary native should be capable of producing between 30 and 40 points this year, assuming he doesn't spend too much longer on the shelf. While not officially ruled out, the Knights' back-to-back likely means that Howden will also be out against Toronto on Thursday.
-
Adin Hill G | LV
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Getting close to return
Hill (lower body) won't play in Wednesday's road matchup against the Kings, but he is nearing a return to the lineup, per SinBin Vegas on Tuesday.
Hill has been out since Oct. 20 against Columbus and could be an option for Thursday's home contest against Toronto. He has a 1-0-2 record while stopping 79 of the 89 shots he has faced in five appearances this season. With Carter Hart (lower body) week-to-week, Hill could seize control of Vegas' No. 1 goalie role once he receives the green light to play.
-
Brandon Saad LW | LV
Golden Knights' Brandon Saad: Still sidelined Wednesday
Saad (undisclosed) will not be an option versus the Kings on Wednesday, per Sin Bin Vegas.
Saad will miss his third straight game due to his lingering undisclosed injury. If the team decides it needs the extra roster spots, the veteran would be a good candidate for injured reserve, considering he has already missed a week's worth of games. Saad has scored just once in his last 22 outings while chipping in two assists and 38 shots. With the back-to-back on the schedule, it seems unlikely Saad will be cleared in time to face the Leafs on Thursday, though he hasn't been officially ruled out.

Morgan Barron C | WPG
Jets' Morgan Barron: Slated to miss Tuesday's matchup
Barron (upper body) is not expected to be available for Tuesday's home contest against the Islanders.
Barron is set to miss his third consecutive game Tuesday. The 27-year-old had picked up the pace over the last month prior to getting hurt, producing four goals, three helpers, 26 shots, 36 hits and a plus-5 rating across a 13-game stretch. Barron's next opportunity to get back into the lineup will be in Minnesota on Thursday.
