  • Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Back out of lineup

Miller (undisclosed) won't play Tuesday versus the Islanders.

Miller will sit for the second time in four games to close out the regular season. He should be back in the lineup in a top-four role for Game 1 of the playoffs.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Remains shelved Tuesday

Gostisbehere (undisclosed) will not play in Tuesday's road clash against the Islanders.

Gostisbehere will miss his second consecutive contest for an undisclosed reason. Whether the 32-year-old blueliner has an injury or not, the Hurricanes are likely erring on the side of caution to make sure he is well rested ahead of the playoffs. Overall, he has 50 points, 117 shots on net and 63 blocked shots across 54 games this season. With the first round of the playoffs right around the corner, the Canes will likely roll Gostisbehere out in a top-four role if he's ready to go for Game 1.

  • Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Won't play Tuesday

Svechnikov (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Islanders.

Svechnikov will be unavailable for the third time in the Hurricanes' last four games of the regular season, but he's likely just having his workload managed ahead of the playoffs. The 26-year-old will presumably return to game action once the postseason begins.

  • Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Not expected to play

Slavin (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Islanders, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Slavin will miss his second straight game for maintenance purposes. However, he will likely be available for the start of the playoffs. He accounted for one goal, seven assists, 63 shots on net and 54 blocked shots during the 2025-26 regular season.

  • Sebastian Aho LW | CAR

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Won't play Tuesday

Aho (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Islanders.

Aho will be sidelined for the third time in the final four games of the regular season since the Hurricanes have clinched the playoffs. He's one of several key players who will sit out for Tuesday's regular-season finale, but he should be back in action for the start of the postseason.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Remains out Tuesday

Staal (undisclosed) won't play Tuesday versus the Islanders.

Staal will get one more game off, giving him a full week between contests. He is presumably being rested and can be expected to be back in his usual third-line role for Game 1 of the playoffs.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Sitting out again

Jarvis (undisclosed) won't play Tuesday versus the Islanders.

Jarvis will presumably be rested again for the Hurricanes' regular-season finale. Expect to see him back in a top-line role for Game 1 of the playoffs.

  • Panthers' Mikulas Hovorka: Back in NHL

Hovorka was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Tuesday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Hovorka was sent down over the weekend but will return to the big club ahead of Wednesday's regular-season finale versus the Red Wings. He has made three NHL appearances this season, adding three hits and a blocked shot while posting a minus-3 rating.

  • Cam York D | PHI

Flyers' Cam York: Sitting out Tuesday

York (rest) won't play against Montreal on Tuesday.

York will join several other regulars in the press box for some additional rest ahead of Philadelphia's first-round playoff series against Pittsburgh. He will conclude the 2025-26 regular season with four goals, 26 points, 89 shots on net and 145 blocked shots across 74 appearances.

  • Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Healthy scratch Tuesday

Drysdale (rest) will not play in Tuesday's home game against the Canadiens.

Drysdale will attend Tuesday's contest in street clothes, as he and many regular starters will have a game of rest for the Flyers' regular-season finale. Overall, the 24-year-old blueliner has eight goals, 32 points, 101 shots on net and 94 blocked shots across 78 games this season. He'll likely return to his top-four defensive role ahead of the battle for Pennsylvania, where the Flyers face off against the Penguins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
