  • Kraken's Victor Ostman: Recalled from AHL

    Ostman was summoned from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.

    Ostman has spent the entire season in the AHL, posting a 17-14-3 record with a 2.77 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 35 games. The Swedish netminder made his NHL debut last April, stopping all 12 shots in relief, in a 7-1 loss to Utah. Ostman is up from the minors because Joey Daccord (lower body) won't be available for Saturday's game against Calgary.

    Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Not expected back in regular season

    Ostlund (upper body) likely won't play before the end of the regular season, according to Heather Engel of NHL.com on Saturday.

    Ostlund has already sat out the last eight games. However, head coach Lindy Ruff is hopeful that the 22-year-old forward will be an option in the playoffs. Ostlund has 11 goals, 27 points, 60 shots on net and 30 blocked shots in 60 appearances this season.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Starting Saturday

    Silovs will defend the home net versus Washington on Saturday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.

    Silovs is 19-10-8 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.99 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 37 appearances this season. The Capitals are 15th in scoring with 250 goals in 79 games.

    Mammoth's Kevin Rooney: Returned to AHL

    Rooney was assigned to AHL Tucson on Saturday.

    Rooney has been a healthy scratch for the Mammoth in three straight games. He scored a goal against Dallas on Nov. 28, but he hasn't logged any NHL playing time since then. Rooney has 12 goals and 23 points in 43 AHL appearances this season.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Starting in Toronto

    Tarasov will defend the road net against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

    Tarasov has gone 0-1-1 in his last three appearances while surrendering 11 goals on 67 shots. He has a 10-15-3 record this campaign with a 3.20 GAA and an .892 save percentage across 30 appearances. Toronto sits 16th in the league with 3.09 goals per game this season.

    Penguins' Connor Dewar: Deemed week-to-week

    Dewar (lower body) is week-to-week, the team announced Saturday.

    Dewar will miss his second straight game against Washington on Saturday and won't be an option for the remainder of the regular season. He has earned 14 goals, 30 points, 110 shots on net and 144 hits across 78 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Penguins' Parker Wotherspoon: Unavailable Saturday

    Wotherspoon (upper body) will not dress versus Washington on Saturday.

    Wotherspoon has been productive offensively this season, tallying three goals and 27 assists in 79 games. He has 161 hits and 110 blocked shots, making him fantasy relevant in multi-category leagues. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

    Penguins' Kris Letang: Considered day-to-day

    Letang (upper body) is day-to-day and won't play in Saturday's matchup against Washington.

    It's unclear if Letang will be ready to play against the Capitals on Sunday in the second half of a back-to-back set between the two teams. He has produced three goals, 34 points, 104 shots on net, 94 blocked shots and 95 hits across 73 appearances this season.

    Penguins' Ville Koivunen: Called up from AHL

    Koivunen was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.

    Koivunen had two goals and seven points in 36 NHL games before he was sent to the minors at the end of March. Koivunen has played well at the AHL level this season, tallying 11 goals and 25 assists in 32 games.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Won't play Saturday

    Karlsson (lower body) won't play against Washington on Saturday.

    Karlsson is day-to-day and will miss at least one game, but it's unclear whether he will play in Sunday's rematch against the Capitals. He has registered 15 goals, 66 points and 176 shots on net in 74 games this season.
