  • Lightning's Steve Santini: Elevated from minors

Santini was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.

Erik Cernak (undisclosed) is unavailable for Tuesday's home game versus the Blue Jackets, which resulted in the Lightning bringing up Santini from the minors. The 31-year-old Santini has posted an assist and a plus-1 rating over nine games with the big club this season.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets starting nod Tuesday

Swayman will be between the pipes at home versus the Kings on Tuesday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports.

Swayman has suffered just one regulation loss in his last seven outings, going 5-1-1 with a 2.41 GAA. With the Bruins holding on to a wild-card spot, the 27-year-old netminder should see plenty of work down the stretch, likely only conceding starts to Joonas Korpisalo in back-to-backs.

  • Maple Leafs' Benoit-Olivier Groulx: Promoted from minors

Groulx was recalled from AHL Toronto on Tuesday.

Groulx is not guaranteed to be in the lineup versus the Habs on Tuesday, but he should at least be under consideration. The 26-year-old center hasn't featured in an NHL game since back in 2023-24 when he logged 45 games for the Ducks. Still, Groulx has put up fantastic numbers in the minors, racking up 27 goals and 23 assists in 54 games with the Marlies, certainly making his case for NHL minutes.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Missing first game of 2025-26

Reinhart (undisclosed) will not be an option for Tuesday's home matchup versus Detroit, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Reinhart will miss his first game of the season Tuesday, but head coach Paul Maurice expects the 30-year-old winger to be back in the lineup Thursday against Columbus. Vinnie Hinostroza is set to make his Panthers debut due to Reinhart's absence. Reinhart has 28 goals, 59 points, 163 shots and a minus-18 rating over 63 appearances this campaign.

  • Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Skating in non-contact jersey

Barkov (knee) took the ice Tuesday in a non-contact sweater, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Barkov continues to work his way back from a long-term knee problem that required surgery back in September. With the Cats having basically waved the white flag on this season, there is no reason to rush the veteran center back into the lineup. Still, Barkov probably would benefit from getting into a handful of games this year to shake off the rust if he is cleared in time.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: In goal Tuesday

Quick will be in goal at home versus the Flames on Tuesday, Remy Mastey of The Hockey News reports.

Quick will get the nod for just the second time in the Rangers' last seven contests, having given up five goals on 34 shots to the Devils in his other outing. With little to play for the rest of the way, head coach Mike Sullivan could give Quick a few extra starts in what could be the 40-year-old backstop's final season.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: First off at morning skate

Vasilevskiy is set to patrol the home blue paint against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, per Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.

Vasilevskiy got back in the win column Saturday in Toronto after a rare three-game losing streak, turning aside 27 of 29 shots in a 5-2 victory. The Lightning are coming off a spirited 8-7 loss in Buffalo on Sunday, while the Blue Jackets are on the second half of a back-to-back -- they lost to the Kings in overtime Monday by a 5-4 score.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Drawing start Tuesday

Tarasov will guard the home cage Tuesday against the Red Wings, according to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now.

Tarasov has not earned a win since Jan. 25, going 0-4-0 with a 4.04 GAA and an .876 save percentage across his last four outings. Detroit is tied for 20th in the NHL with 2.92 goals per game this season and might be without Dylan Larkin (leg) on Tuesday.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Needed in relief Monday

Ersson turned aside all three shots he faced after replacing Dan Vladar to begin the third period of Monday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

New York took its foot off the gas over the final 20 minutes, so Ersson was relatively unchallenged during his relief outing. The 26-year-old netminder has made only three appearances since Vladar returned in late January from a lower-body injury, giving up seven goals on 47 shots in that time, but Ersson should get a start during a back-to-back set this week, either Wednesday against the Capitals at home or Thursday on the road in Minnesota.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Gets hook against Blueshirts

Vladar gave up six goals on 24 shots before being replaced by Samuel Ersson to begin the third period of Monday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

Three of the pucks that got past Vladar came on New York power plays, and he didn't get a lot of help at even strength, either. The six goals allowed were a season worst for the 28-year-old netminder, and since returning from a lower-body injury in late January, Vladar has gone 4-4-2 over 11 outings with a 2.68 GAA and .899 save percentage.
