  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Lights lamp twice in loss

Carlsson scored two goals, fired four shots on net, recorded two blocked shots and had two PIM in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to Toronto.

Carlsson's second goal put the Ducks up 3-1 just over the midway point in the second period. Overall, the 21-year-old center is up to 26 goals, 63 points, 159 shots on net and 22 blocked shots through 62 games this season. Since March 15, he's tallied five goals and compiled 11 points over eight games. He's heating back up at the right time and has a chance to reach the 70-point mark for the first time in his three-year NHL career.

  • Mason Lohrei D | BOS

Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Not available against Dallas

Lohrei (upper body) isn't an option for Tuesday's home contest versus the Stars, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Lohrei will miss his second consecutive game and remains day-to-day at this time. The left-shot defenseman will replace Henri Jokiharju or Andrew Peeke in the lineup once he's deemed healthy enough to suit up.

  • Sharks' Adam Gaudette: Scores game-winner Monday

Gaudette scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 5-4 win over the Blues.

This was Gaudette's third goal and fourth point since the beginning of March, and while it's hard to ask for a lot of fantasy production from a fourth-line forward, it's clear the 29-year-old forward came through when the Sharks needed him the most. He scored the game-winning goal with a wrister with 22 seconds left in the game. However, with only 16 goals and 24 points across 59 regular-season appearances, Gaudette doesn't have a lot of fantasy appeal in most formats, especially with the regular season entering its final stretch.

  • Sharks' Macklin Celebrini: Surpasses 100-point mark

Celebrini had two goals, including one on the power play, and added a power-play assist in Monday's 5-4 win over the Blues.

Celebrini has posted back-to-back multi-point performances, and this dominant effort Monday allowed him to clear the 100-point threshold for the first time in his career. The 19-year-old star center has been one of the best forwards in the league this season and has joined an exclusive group since only three other players have reached the 100-point mark this season: Connor McDavid (124), Nikita Kucherov (121) and Nathan MacKinnon (120). Celebrini, who has 19 points in 15 games since the beginning of March, will look to end the regular season on a strong note while carrying the Sharks in their playoff push for one of the two wild-card spots in the Western Conference.

  • Bruins' Joonas Korpisalo: Tough assignment ahead

Korpisalo will be between the home pipes against the Stars on Tuesday, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald.

This will be Korpisalo's fifth appearance in March. The Finnish netminder is 1-1-2 with a 4.17 GAA and an .866 save percentage over his first four outings this month. This matchup for a No. 2 goaltender is a formidable assignment against one of the NHL's top teams, but the Bruins have been tremendous on home ice -- they own a 27-10-1 record at TD Garden this season.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Scores two PP goals

Wennberg scored two power-play goals and added a power-play assist in Monday's 5-4 win over the Blues.

Wennberg pushed his point streak to three games with one of his best outings of the campaign, as he left his mark on each of the three power-play goals the Sharks tallied in this game. Wennberg has been productive in recent weeks and has tallied 11 points (five goals, six assists) across 14 games since the beginning of March. As a top-six forward who also operates as a playmaker in the power play, Wennberg should continue to see decent scoring chances in the final weeks of the campaign.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Expected to start at home

Luukkonen is slated to guard the home cage Tuesday versus the Islanders, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Luukkonen has been excellent since the Olympic break, registering a 7-1-1 record, .925 save percentage and 2.21 GAA across nine outings. The Sabres should have the upper hand Tuesday -- they have been off since Saturday, while the Islanders are on the second half of a back-to-back after getting blitzed by the Penguins on Monday to the tune of an 8-3 score.

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Helps out twice Monday

Ekman-Larsson registered two assists, put two shots on net and recorded three blocked shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Ducks.

Ekman-Larsson recorded a secondary helper on each of Toronto's first two goals Monday. Overall, the 34-year-old blueliner has 30 assists, 38 points, 104 shots on net, 82 hits and 66 blocked shots through 72 games this season. Despite his run of assists from earlier in the season drying up over time, he managed to secure his highest number of helpers in a regular season since the 2018-19 campaign. Ekman-Larsson has three assists over his last four games and is a decent waiver-wire pickup in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Facing divisional foe Tuesday

Shesterkin will be in goal at home against the Devils on Tuesday, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday.

Shesterkin snapped his four-game losing streak against the Panthers on Sunday, turning aside 26 of 27 shots in a 3-1 win. The Russian netminder has yet to face the Devils this season, but he's fared pretty well against them throughout his career, going 11-7-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .911 save percentage over 21 regular-season games.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Earns win over St. Louis

Askarov stopped 22 of 26 shots in Monday's 5-4 win over the Blues.

Askarov was beaten at least once in each period, and while the game looked destined to go into overtime, a late strike from Adam Gaudette allowed Askarov to earn his first win in regulation since March 3. Askarov has been limited to just two appearances over the Sharks' last 10 games due to injuries, but if he manages to stay healthy down the stretch, he should get a fair amount of work between the pipes. Askarov owns a 3.54 GAA over seven appearances since the Olympic break while posting a subpar .875 save percentage, so the combination of below-average save numbers and limited availability doesn't bode well for his upside.
